“nobody watches the UFC alone” unless your name is kevin

by brendan on Nov 14, 2008 9:51 PM EST reply actions

lol, I don’t think I’m the only one, but maybe! Just like piece and quiet! As I stated in another thread, I’m taking my wife shopping tomorrow in hopes she tires out and falls asleep during PPV. Funny thing is, she’s more knowledgeable than most of you guys, so if I want to watch it without her, there isn’t too many guys I would. You live near me brendan? you’re more than welcome. Mania, VM, phil, crowls and stinky…not john, he probably yells at the T.v.!

by kevin on Nov 14, 2008 10:06 PM EST up reply actions

did this switch spots? this happened the other day too..weird!
is there a replay of countdown tonight? I missed it and can’t check the guide, my son’s watching a movie!

by kevin on Nov 14, 2008 10:31 PM EST up reply actions

you know what kevin, i watch ‘em by myself too. i used to get a bunch people to come over and party, but they just get in the way. you got drunk, chickens cluckin’ away, and some of my buddy’s dont take it as serious as i do so i said f*ck everybody, i’ll watch it in peace!

by allamerican on Nov 14, 2008 10:49 PM EST up reply actions

hey allamerican, I’ve been witing to see you on here, saw yesterday that you live in naples. I lived in Port charlotte for 5 or 6 years, got a buddy in lawn care and pest control. If you want a hook up at a good price, let me know!
I agree with the watching alone, it’s nice to have people over, but I’ll entertain and BBQ on non UFC nights!

by kevin on Nov 14, 2008 11:08 PM EST up reply actions

nah youre up in the bay area right? if i remember correctly… anyways im all the way down here in san diego, but thanks for the offer!

by brendan on Nov 15, 2008 12:02 AM EST up reply actions

well if you’re ever in the area…that goes for most of the other regulars on here too!

by kevin on Nov 15, 2008 1:56 AM EST up reply actions

I would also rather watch the events by myself

by john on Nov 15, 2008 7:05 PM EST up reply actions

I also watch it alone. Most of my friends aren’t as focused as I am, so they can get off-topic. I dont like to leave the room or even look away during a fight. I use my Sunday to watch football and hanging out with friends, whereas UFC is my alone tme.

by stryker on Nov 15, 2008 12:48 AM EST up reply actions

I watch it alone many times too or with 1 friend..

by RoB on Nov 15, 2008 2:04 AM EST up reply actions

UFC 94 tickets were considerably cheaper than 91 and 92 by the way!

by brendan on Nov 14, 2008 9:53 PM EST reply actions

Tell him to adjust Paper View sales to the are going up every year just about 5 dollars it adds up….

by Milk on Nov 14, 2008 9:57 PM EST reply actions

He said he wouldn’t do that.

by MMAmania on Nov 14, 2008 10:00 PM EST up reply actions

Yeah he knows that wont affect people as much because they can all get together and pitch in. People wont care as much becuase of that.

by The Anomaly on Nov 14, 2008 10:04 PM EST up reply actions

hey mania…quick question:
do you go to all the events live?

by kevin on Nov 14, 2008 10:42 PM EST up reply actions

All? No.

by MMAmania on Nov 14, 2008 11:14 PM EST up reply actions

most? this one? just curious how many or percentage, press credentials or on own dime? you live in vegas right?

by kevin on Nov 14, 2008 11:15 PM EST up reply actions

not being pushy mania, just bored, my son is watching a movie, my wife took 3 of her subordinates out to dinner and the bill just came across the computer…needless to say I’m just trying to pass the time!

by kevin on Nov 14, 2008 11:24 PM EST up reply actions

Is it just me or did Dana look like a white Shaq in that interview?

by Brian on Nov 14, 2008 10:07 PM EST reply actions

That is the worst made show I have ever seen… Awful sound, stuttering announcer, people looking off camera… what the hell are they doing?

by BenArmBar on Nov 14, 2008 10:09 PM EST reply actions

It’s Fox News, what did you expect?

by Pat on Nov 14, 2008 10:50 PM EST up reply actions

just watched it…really bad!!!

by kevin on Nov 14, 2008 11:08 PM EST up reply actions

yeah it was bad.

by lee maury on Nov 14, 2008 10:58 PM EST up reply actions

Agree. This show sucks. The host starts talking about Lex Luger before introducing the topic. He should’ve asked for Dana to talk about it first. No follow-up questions by the panel, just “ok Dana”.

by stryker on Nov 15, 2008 12:43 AM EST up reply actions

Who was that boob that asked Dana if Fabricio or Jason Lambert was cut due to economy or $$ issues…lol.. he doesn’t even know who those guys are. lol

by THORAZINE on Nov 15, 2008 3:53 AM EST up reply actions

Did I just completely miss the fact that Werdum had been cut by the UFC or was that interview the first we’ve heard about it?

by RedDog on Nov 15, 2008 6:13 AM EST up reply actions

you missed it last week

by kevin on Nov 15, 2008 11:54 AM EST up reply actions

ufc 91 is officially a flop

by tim on Nov 14, 2008 11:09 PM EST reply actions

how so? if couture wins, florian wins and we get an upset like gonzaga ko’d, I’d call it a good night!

by kevin on Nov 14, 2008 11:10 PM EST up reply actions

Has any one noticed that Dana AND Lorenzo have used that same line about “getting buddies together, getting some pizza, and some beer and watching the fights”. I’ve heard Dana use it about 4 times already – they must have had a meeting about it or something. That should be the UFC’s official stance on the economy lol.

by Casey on Nov 14, 2008 11:24 PM EST reply actions

it obviously is something they’ve discussed and believe, which surprises me. Just think if it were 4 buddies instead of 8, they’d double their ppv buys (in theory).

by kevin on Nov 14, 2008 11:25 PM EST up reply actions

I bet Lorenzo stole that line from Dana…lol

by THORAZINE on Nov 15, 2008 3:54 AM EST up reply actions

I bet they don’t care that people know they’ve responded the same way multiple times.

by RedDog on Nov 15, 2008 6:03 AM EST up reply actions

all of this lying is gunna catch up with dana one day.
