That is funny. After all of that, Sable looking old was the one thing I was thinking about too. I thought I would be saying something a bit off topic, but after reading the first post I realized I was not alone. haha

sable is beat up and old. but lets get to the real story…nothing frustrates me more than guys who know absolutely nothing about mma trying to talk about it! Stewart= a moron, that asian guy was genuinely surprised that Dana said Kimbo made him sick, the two douche bags on Jim Rome were just awful! Dana is right, it’s great for the sport that mma and the UFC will be all over espn this week. The fight will be broken down, but it’s too bad it will be terrible! They should have called a few of us (not necessarily me) to break it down, because they will have guys like Wilbon and Bayless (who I’m fans of) breaking it down, when they have no love for or interest in mma!
Lastly, this whole affliction bull shit has to be affecting Randy, and it sucks that going into a championship fight against a guy weighing 50+ pounds more than you, you got to have this shit going on! I hope that Douche bag Beard gets hit by a car and sits in a coma for a few years!

Yo Kev.. man.. when I heard those two non-MMA cats to talking about MMA.. after Dana was " Alone with Rome "… I was TIGHT!!!
#1.. the old jack ass on the forum.. boxing this boxing that.. more people know about Randy Courture.. then boxer.. who ever.. this mega fight.. this and that.. boxing is this.. what the F5@#$% ever.. my question to him.. who will be the new rising stars of boxing in the next 10 years.. the Golden Boy.. can not be fight Mayweather every other year or so.. just for the numbers..
#2.. the younger jack ass.. he said some shit that if I had heard this at a bar.. a fight could of broken out quick.. he said something along the lines of this…….." If we weren’t Sold this.. about this Kimbo guy.. we wouldn’t be so Ra Ra Ra… Yo my dude.. if you allowed ur self to be sold this Kimbo Cat.. your a bird.. you nothing of MMA.. nothing of Martial Arts.. you should even open.. your mouth.. Maniacs.. all that point.. all I could do was shake my head..88% of us.. would do a 1000% better on a segment such as that one.

I agree with you mikeybear!! We all get old guys. And let me tell you, I’d take an attractive older woman over a hot younger woman ANY DAY OF THE WEEK. They’re a helluva lot better in bed, and they want nothing from you other than a good time. No relationship, no dates, no nothing. Just be a gentleman, and have some stamina. That’s all they normally require. Good times!
by chefdaddy on Nov 13, 2008 7:18 AM EST up reply actions
by the way chef, I’d rather a younger hot girl who doesn’t know what good sex is yet, that way it’s no work for me…but have to agree, if you want great sex. go with the older woman!

Ahah “Fred White” also no one at ESPN knows the name of any fighters and people are calling MMA mainstream? It’s no where close to mainstream until those guys know the names of fighters like the know the back of their hands.
by Andy C on Nov 13, 2008 12:52 AM EST reply actions
of course not, because the fighters needs to be superstars u know.. Tito Ortiz is probably the most known name!
by RoB on Nov 13, 2008 1:30 AM EST up reply actions
Faber? Griffin? Dudes were like struggling to even figure out who those guys were. =\
by Andy C on Nov 13, 2008 1:33 AM EST up reply actions
I was thinking the same thing…..and he didn’t even know that Faber lost!!! How do you broadcast and not follow MMA?
by Robert on Nov 13, 2008 8:55 AM EST up reply actions
Yep. Tito Ortiz is probably the best known name and Liddell’s face is the most recognizable to the mainstream audience.
anyway, it was cool to see Kordell…
by Flyingknees on Nov 13, 2008 1:42 AM EST up reply actions
And Liddell hammering Tito is probably two of the best known fights.
by naturalshadow on Nov 13, 2008 2:32 AM EST up reply actions
yes they are, look at the numbers my friend.. every Ortiz fight had good numbers compared to the numbers they were getting at the time he fought
by RoB on Nov 13, 2008 8:19 AM EST up reply actions
Yeah, not like they were’nt trying though. With comments like “who’s that one guy from cali” or “yeah, I watched that one series with that Griffin dude”, we are a long way from mainsteam. Props to Dana for pushing it though. He shows no frustration for answering the same questions from several diferent guys, from the same network. He obviously knows that you have to keep driving a consistent message so it will become more commonly understood. I love the way he keeps dogging Kimbo, and the fraud that was Elite XC. We want the casual fan to know that that is not MMA at it’s best.

I still think she looks good though…. and in some ways hot older woman are a turn on IMO
by Robert on Nov 13, 2008 11:02 AM EST up reply actions
I love that:
-“You’re thinking of Urijah Faber”
-“Yeah he’s hot, man, I don’t think he can lose”
-“He just got knocked out”
by prophet on Nov 13, 2008 2:14 AM EST reply actions
Yeah, that was kinda funny. I wanna see a rematch of that fight.
by naturalshadow on Nov 13, 2008 2:33 AM EST up reply actions

UFC is in trouble.its well documented that fertita money maker station casinos is in 5 billion debt.and now everything points thaT they are hyping UFC to be sold 1.theyre pressuring new york to sanction them(so the potential buyer would be entice to buy it) 2. they just did an iterview in sports journaL that they are earning 300 million a year.a good artivle is on mma payout
by dana on Nov 13, 2008 3:27 AM EST reply actions
The UFC is NOT in trouble. Not even close. And the Fertitas are doing fine. While they may have posted a 3rd quarter loss, that might have something to do with an acquisition/purchase or whatever as they are a private company.

Yes it is entirely possible they could be destined for Chapter 11, but nothing in this post indicates that definitively.
Moody’s is a bond-rating agency, and has no direct correlation with bankruptcy. Caa2 means they are a risky investment, and therefore their bonds are of greater risk compared to firms in more sustainable industries. To be honest, bond ratings in Vegas casinos as a whole have dropped due to decreased revenues. This only matters if Station needs to raise capital, and in a public way such as issuance of bonds. This also doesn’t say anything about their cash position, which would be the third leg of the stool.
Thanks for providing the explanation.
I’ll bet my right arm Station Casinos does not go under. No, I do not believe that drunk from Affliction. People will absolutely still gamble, some even more so in hard economic times. The worst that will happen is Station will have to close a property that is bleeding money or some other re-structuring, but even that I doubt. $23.4 million is not actually that big of a loss, of course its a bad thing and will be much worse if it continues, but they’ve probably had some high rollers lose that much in their casinos, and Lorenzo’s salary last year was $108 million for example.
I just cut and pasted that from some mma related website that came up when I googled station casinos net worth.

Well, Stewart was hit in the head numerous times in football. He’s not the smartest guy out there anyways. These blogs are a lot of fun to see though. This is the kind of stuff we wouldn’t know anything about without them. Sable is still damn hot btw

I’ll tell you what, its great to have a guy like Dana driving our sport!! For those of you out there who believe that Dana never took this sport to where it is today, then think again. These blogs are proof of the extent to which Dana has worked to, to get this sport mainstream! hes done a great job!!
I know where hes coming from when he said he feel sick when he watches chuck fight, im sad in that when he fights i feel sick, and i dont even know him lol!!!! Cant wait to see the ICEMAN back in there!!!!!

I think that visit to ESPN showed just how out of mainstream MMA really is. We all love it if we are posting to this site, but the average fans are closer to Kordell and that idiot asian guy.
