NOt too mad about the werdum situation, but do love these blogs! You taking me to GSP/BJ stink? if you fly out of the bay area, I could use the vacation!! I’m not kidding either, and am not working right now, so I got the time…and you got the money!
peace boys!

did anyone else notice when dana is playing the game

and brock is fighting nog~ dana says ‘i hope this is how the fight happens’

~does this mean dana thinks randy will lose? couldnt be.

by stinky~fingers on Nov 12, 2008 8:02 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

That was before Brock won though. By that statement it seems to me he just meant that exciting. Just going out there and not holding back.

by Joey 1.0 on Nov 12, 2008 8:05 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

brock winning the fight has nothing to do with it~

i meant for lesnar to be fighting nog

and dana saying ‘i hope this is how the fight happens’

means he thinks randy and mir will both lose their upcoming fights.

get it?~

by stinky~fingers on Nov 12, 2008 8:10 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I saw it the same way you did stink. Looks like Dana expects to be promoting Brock vs. Nog.

Randy will Duck Nog FOREVER!

bring Back WERDUM!!!!

by john on Nov 12, 2008 9:33 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

STOP saying bring back Werdum!!! he is past his prime why do you want him back??…his fight with Arlovski was absolutley terrible…his fight with Gonzaga was alright but Gabe didn’t look himself…then the Vera fight was a joke cause Vera is a joke we all know that now…then he doesn’t even train to get in shape…instead spends all of his time complaining about why he should be in the 4 man-tournament then gets KTFO by Dos Santos…(i love Cigano butin all reality he has 0 sanctioned fights common!)…you tell me why you want a complaining little bitch like him in the UFC…he used to be good…in Pride

by Breton on Nov 12, 2008 9:42 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

And on top of Vera being a joke now, he hardly had Vera beat in that fight. Still a debatable stoppage.

by ViolentMike on Nov 12, 2008 10:03 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

werdum is definitely a top hw fighter and

dana white let him go~

the ufc hw division has been getting weak this past year

and imo~ it was a dumb move to bounce werdum out the door.

affliction will get their hands on another top fighter.

werdum could possibly fight on the jan’09 card.

barnett-werdum anyone?

by stinky~fingers on Nov 12, 2008 10:12 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

i will say that yes because of the lack of heavyweight talent he is a top 10 HW fighter but I’m sure Dana told him listen man if you are going to open your mouth and say you want in this tournament you better win against this guy Dos Santos or else your gone for going against the organization…he lost, he went against the UFC… so he’s out…he shouldn’t have opened his mouth in the first place i say good riddens to an overweight cry baby

by Breton on Nov 12, 2008 10:43 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

he might be a whiner~

but it was a bad business move for the ufc. bottom line.

they cant keep bouncing out top fighters like this.

by stinky~fingers on Nov 12, 2008 10:46 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

and the heavyweight division is no longer that weak!!! common we have Shane Carwin, Junior Dos Santos, Lesnar, Couture, Nog, Mir, Kongo, Gonzaga even Hardonk…it is pretty weak still but it is improving and i’m sure there will be some big singings in 2009 and some good fighters moving up to HW cause of the congested LHW division

by Breton on Nov 12, 2008 10:48 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

very true in the long run it is a bad business because they could have set him up against some up and comers possibly gaving them vaildation or he could have come back and made a run for the title either way it’s clear the UFC does not like fighters saying things contrary to their decisions then getting KTFO but who does?

by Breton on Nov 12, 2008 11:34 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

John- what you said is my biggest fear. Nog will never get the respect he deserves. I don’t remember who said it but Nog and Fedor are the only HWs that have stood out and endured in a sea of wannabe contenders.

by NameNotRequired on Nov 12, 2008 12:16 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

wow. i knew as soon as i watched this, there would be some ridiculous “conspiracy” sht about who dana does and doesnt want to win from him playing that video games. simple minded. the ufc letting go of werdum is a great business move. nobody gave a crap about him(save a few pride fanboys) and he brought it on himself. this might be the best thing for werdum, maybee he will get his act togehter and train for fights, instead of whining and getting his a$$ kicked.

by b.w. on Nov 12, 2008 12:19 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

barnett destroys werdum, and dana white is right again!

by kevin on Nov 12, 2008 1:25 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

lol!

by b.w. on Nov 12, 2008 2:02 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

breton out of every one you named you only have 2 top 10 hw’s carwin looks good but is 35 yrs old and hasn’t fought anyone yet,dos santos looks good but only has one win against a top hw and could be just another houston don’t jump the gun yet,mir kongo gonzaga are good but will never be champs hardonk is no where never the top in the hw devision, you got randy who is a top hw but not in the top 5 in my book and nog who is there best hw, lesnar may be at the top soon but he is not there yet.

by roy on Nov 12, 2008 2:49 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

way to set him straight Roy.

U guys are insane today trying to tell me that Werdum is not a top Heavyweight. R u guys Nuts? He is WORLD class on the ground and he may have the most improved stand up in the past year. THis guy keeps getting better and better and he is a HUGE HW. Loosing him is sad. Yes he should have beaten Dos, yes he should have been in better shape….but the guy is a stud in the making. Fort him not to be fighting in the UFC because of 1 bad performance is crap. chuck hasnt had a good perform, ance in like 4 fights, yet he will still be pushed down our throats as a headliner!

Give Werdum the respect he deserves…He is top NOtch!

by john on Nov 12, 2008 4:08 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

listen here john if you read what i said i clearly stated that it is still a weak division but most likely in 2009 it will get much better and granted Werdum is top notch – when he is on his game and in shape…something we have not really seen in the UFC he’s had a bunch of fights to prove it and didnt so Dana (who didn’t get to the position hes in by making bad decisions) chose to let him go

by Breton on Nov 12, 2008 5:00 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

whats that supposed to mean?

by roy on Nov 12, 2008 7:13 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

those are his UFC fights!

by kevin on Nov 12, 2008 7:47 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I noticed that too, although I had to rewind and listen closely again. It seems that he’s expecting both Couture and Mir to lose. I see them both going the other way…

by JRK on Nov 12, 2008 9:22 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I got it halfway the other way. Lesnar vs. Mir II, that’s what will be going down.

by Anthony on Nov 12, 2008 1:08 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

wow sticky i totally picked up on that too…i thought to myself “what an odd thing to say” considering there is a 4 man tournament…basically to me it’s like Dana might think Brock and Nog are going to win or maybe they will fight if they lose?? like the losers of the tourney fight and the winners fight??? i dont know….lets just say if they do end up winning we have a semi-conspiracy on our hands…P.S. next to GSP (who looked sick in the game) Dana is my hero

by Breton on Nov 12, 2008 9:38 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

what about at the end of the fight when a guy in the background says hey dana while your here can you have him do a cartwheel like you did in the herring fight??? this also is pretty fishy

by shank daddy on Nov 12, 2008 4:25 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

it was funny when dana said that mma bloggers on the internet are ‘pussys’

that was funny~

by stinky~fingers on Nov 12, 2008 8:06 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

I gaurentee some of these fighters either read or even blog to see what people are saying about them. That’s just human nature. Just think, I could have actually talked sh*t directly to Koscheck or Hughes. That alone will keep me coming back!

by BNF on Nov 12, 2008 9:59 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

kos yes, hughes no, no time in between church and looking at the hidden cams in his dorms! The younger fighters absolutely…why do you think we haven’t heard from Huerta in a while?

by kevin on Nov 12, 2008 1:34 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

And yet, us “pussies” are the ones who follow the sport the closest, buy the most PPV’s and can actually discuss better than most (99%) of sports writers/announcers. But he does have a point in a way, I wouldn’t step into the cage with the worst in the UFC. Their worst is better most people’s best.

by chefdaddy on Nov 12, 2008 10:20 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I agree that us “bloggers” watch the most PPVs but I wouldn’t be suprised if a large portion of them rip them off the internet. Me not being one of them. I fully support MMA and I think those that steal are dirt bags who have no respect.

by Djs3467 on Nov 12, 2008 11:29 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

CHEF. i dont think dana was referring to bloggers like you as “those internet pussies”. he was referring to bloggers who do nothing but hate on the guy, and that aint you or me, but i’ll bet we know a few who fit that description. :)

If you can download your preferred music for the fighter entries, that would be the icing on the cake.

by Darryl Foy on Nov 12, 2008 9:34 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

Or just hit mute on the tv and play whatever you want on your cdplayer/ipod/whatever. I think the fighter should come out to whatever song they usually, or most recently came out to.

But it don’t matter to me, I don’t do video games no more…

by ViolentMike on Nov 12, 2008 10:05 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

you probably will if you have a 360. that is something that THQ put into the WWE games for the 360, loading your own entrance music.

i still think that “Stand up” by Drowning Pool is one of the best entrance themes for getting you pumped up and ready to go.

Im sooo excited for this game, it looks immense! the sound from the crowd and bruce buffer are also great!! When is the release date, it pretty much looks like its done??

Yea I’m stoked for this game, I generally like fighting games but this will surpass them all. The gameplay looks spot on man, I’m gonna own you all! haha

We’ll have to swap gamertag’s when this game comes out.

by MikeD on Nov 12, 2008 10:42 AM EST up reply actions   0 recs

I was in EB last week to pick up the new Gears of War 2 video game and the girl that worked there told me that May 2009 is the release date for the UFC game. She looked it up online and confirmed it as well. Cant wait!

by Volatol on Nov 12, 2008 10:08 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

wow, write the date down kiddo!!

by kevin on Nov 12, 2008 3:11 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

lol don’t trust EB. they are usually horribly off on release dates. they just pull them out of their rear end to appease the unwashed gaming masses that want to know when they can get a game. also it gives them incentive to preorder because they think they know when they can get it. why preorder when you have no clue when its coming out.

by kitsunex on Nov 12, 2008 3:56 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

“Whats up homie?” asks the 40+ year old partly bald white guy.

stop with the conspiracy theories about how Dana wants Brock and Nog to win. Im sure he meant that he wants a fast paced, stand up war, action packed like how the game was going. The fact that it was Nog and Brock had nothing to do with it. I msure if Randy were in the game he would they would have played Randy vs Brock, hello!

by Adam Guillen on Nov 12, 2008 10:56 AM EST reply actions   0 recs

does anyone else think its pretty awesome that he was doing an interview with Wall Street Journal about this weekend’s fight?! I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that that is the first time the WSJ has wrote something on the UFC. That’s pretty good when the WSJ is picking up some coverage of ya…

I counted 21 egg whites. That seems like a lot of eggs for one breakfast. However, I looked up the number of calories in one egg white and it is only 17, so that was 357 calories of pure protein.

by DrPepper on Nov 12, 2008 7:27 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

listen to what was said with the guy in the background 5 55 in "while your here can you have him do a cartwheel like you did in the fight with herreing"?what does that mean

by shank daddy on Nov 12, 2008 7:51 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Herring did a backwards catwheel when Lesnar hit him… that is what he was referring to.

by - - - Team Gurgel - - - on Nov 12, 2008 8:38 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

i know that listen to the guy keep in mind this is nog and lesner fighting on the game he says "dana while your here can you have him “nog” do a cartwheel like in the fight with herring" so this leads me to believe that dana told herring take the punch and flip backwards sorry i wasnt clear on my statement and i am sure thats what the stturding idiot said i listened like fouty time

by shank daddy on Nov 12, 2008 10:32 PM EST up reply actions   0 recs

i know that stupid —team gurgel— i paid 45 dollars for the ppv it just seems fishy the guy asked dana if he colud get “nog” to do a cartwheel and im assuming he didn’t mean on the game wtf
