The only thing I hate about the countdowns is that it makes me go crazy all week waiting for the fight!

Countdowns are the best. I hope b.w. was right about them doing a series of them for BJ/GSP like HBO does for big boxing matches.

by BNF on Nov 10, 2008 1:03 PM EST up reply actions

BNF. i hope im right too. :)

A 24/7 version of the UFC countdowns would be bad@ss!!!

by JV on Nov 10, 2008 1:19 PM EST up reply actions

I wouldn’t get your hopes up. THere were rumors of that same thing for this fight as well, but it never came to fruition.

WTF, I really LOVE the countdown shows but my girl is bitchin that she wants me to sleep over tonight (she has NO cable),,,,,THis BLOWS!!!!!!

by john on Nov 10, 2008 3:54 PM EST up reply actions

I don’t get too excited for the countdowns, usually it’s the same clips crammed into a spike show with commercials that we’ve been seeing for weeks!

i think you just got sick intill midnight and then felt really better to come over

by Robert on Nov 10, 2008 4:24 PM EST up reply actions

agreed but it does add something to Monday night…as Monday night football is dead the worst broadcasting time ever put together

i just so hope that after this fight it will be like – how did the captain rag doll a 370lb monster!? how did he take lesnar down and batter him?! how did he finish it in less that 3 minutes?!

lets wait n see. Go Randy !!- mash the big man up!

by Insain on Nov 10, 2008 12:52 PM EST reply actions

THis just made my monday!

by VNDK8 on Nov 10, 2008 1:00 PM EST reply actions

True DAT! Monday night TV sucks balls. Are they going to show Lesnar escaping from the Gorilla zoo exhibit when he was a boy? It’s more like Captian Propecia than Captain America. This is gonna be AWESOME!

I was waiting for the lame Prison Break reference while reading this comment…

Countdowns are the best but im really looking forward to this one. Im counting down till sat. I predict a bruised ego and tears after the fight from Lesnar.

by ktown on Nov 10, 2008 2:09 PM EST reply actions

Big John McCarthy told me over the weekend.. he sees Randy defeating Lesnar in this fight.

by PhilQNY on Nov 10, 2008 2:25 PM EST reply actions

Hey Phil: Awesome experience this past weekend! Thanks for sharing, he seems like a down to earth kind of guy. Interesting on his take of B.J. Funny bc now you can say $hit like," Big John told me!"

by BOW on Nov 10, 2008 3:04 PM EST up reply actions

thats no doubt BOW.. = )

by PhilQNY on Nov 10, 2008 3:57 PM EST up reply actions

I agree under one condition. Randys age doesn’t show. If his age doesn’t finally effect his performance, I think that he will simply outclass Brock.

That’s not to say that Brock can’t surprise us. Lets face it. He is a work in progress and we don’t know what kind of things he will be bringing to the table this time around. He could very well defeat a game Randy Couture. We will have to wait and see but I still would lean towards Randy.

by RyanHobbs on Nov 10, 2008 3:21 PM EST up reply actions

For sure, RANDY FTW, that way I can stick it in “introverts” face the rest of ’08 and probably a few months of ’09.

by O damn he got caught on Nov 10, 2008 3:53 PM EST up reply actions

The Countdown should be a lot better than that weak event commercial. It’s the crappiest ufc event preview for such an unforgettable night.

Can’t wait for tonight and Im rooting for RANDY ALL THE WAY.

by CARNAGE on Nov 10, 2008 3:20 PM EST reply actions

Ugh. This event starts at like 6 Alaska time. I have to work till 6. Once I get off, I’m hauling ass to watch this fight. Hope I don’t miss too much of Quarry vs Maia.

by RyanHobbs on Nov 10, 2008 4:30 PM EST reply actions

I have Joe Stevenson winning by submission or decision in the late round.
I believe kenny has a disadvantage against quick and powerful wrestler like Joe, something tells me.

by CARNAGE on Nov 10, 2008 5:55 PM EST reply actions

Yawn

Not crazy about the main card, though I know the wrestlers at my gym are. The only other two fights worth watching is Quarry/Maia and Florian/Stevenson.

by bostonmmajunkie on Nov 10, 2008 6:03 PM EST reply actions

this card stinks..

by danny on Nov 11, 2008 2:21 PM EST reply actions

lesner sucks all of the sudden he gets a title shot . ill be damned if nog and mir dont feel left out
