It is so hard to be a fan of this guy right now…He’s still really good on Super Nintendo…keeps his people happy

i told everyone tito will stay in the UFC he can’t leave, thats where he would get the best PPV and he will get screwed now cause he is not gonna get paid tito in 2001 money he is old and he is done but will bring in PPV

I agree if he wants to fight the beset, that is obviously in the UFC especially at 205… but I see him in Affliction fighting Bobalu Sobral in a few months if Affliction still exists in a few months.

just exist long enough for Fedor vs AA than I’ll be happy

Hell yeah I feel you on that one.

Am I the only one who thinks AA is going to get killed in that fight? I don’t mean simply losing the fight, but either getting submitted VERY quickly or taking a SEVERE beating.
by chefdaddy on Nov 10, 2008 9:14 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Chef: u arent the only 1 my friend! I am a big AA fan but lets be real…No one escapes Fedor without catching a beating and getting outclassed (subs).
But I still want to see that fight really bad
by john on Nov 10, 2008 9:20 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I think AA is going to lose but for all the Fedor haters that keep saying he doesn’t fight anyone…… beating AA the former UFC heavyweight king will hopefully put an end to it. I like both fighters but AA unless he is moving forward with confidence looks completely lost when on the defensive which is not good against Fedor.

yea I feel you, but I would love to see him fight still, not main event material, but I like seeing popular fighters like him as one of the 4 guaranteed fights !

Guess I was late sending this to mania..damn.
I told all you guys months ago that Tito was going no where, you all laughed at me and said how crazy and stupid I was! Go back and see! But as I’ve said all along, UFC is the only organization willing to pay tito good money and realizes he’s a draw, not to mention the only organization that can afford him and has the best stable of fighters!
by kevin on Nov 10, 2008 10:50 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
I dont diagree Kevin, but the problem is that Tito doesnt want to face the best stable of fighters. Tito “Bitch Made” Ortiz
Tito Ortiz vs. KJ Noons….the battle of DISGRACED Chumps, I mean champs! Hahaha
By the way I was on the phone with Phil this past weekend and we were talking about DREAM fights, and a really good one came to mind.
Tell me what you guys think:
Nogueira vs. Fedor NO TIME LIMIT!!!!!!!!

nog takes it
tito will fight top competition, and wants to! he wants to cement his legacy as a true mma warrior. This is coming from a non tito fan, but after the machida fight I started to like him again! Tito takes the rematch!
by kevin on Nov 10, 2008 11:06 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
They fight to a DRAW because they both pass out simultaneously from exhaustion at the 27th hour of the fight.
by ViolentMike on Nov 10, 2008 11:55 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
In order for Tito to cement his legacy – he would need to whoop Forrest’s butt again (this time with TKO plz)
Seriously, for him to be considered top level mma competitor – he needs to start knocking opponents out (the only guy he has managed to knock out in his last 12 fights is Shamrock)
I’m doubtful though – even though he did nice job at TUF as a coach – his latest fights show that he is in MMA more for the money than coming out to finish fights
by Anger Jack on Nov 10, 2008 11:57 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Tito’s problem both in his drawing power and in my opinion his record lately is by his own admission he rarely fights with the attempt to finish his opponents. He always wants to stretch the fight and give the fans a show with punishment. He needs to get in and whip some ass! Finish the fight and his drawing power and record will bring him back to the guy he was and certainly make him more $$$. With his knowledge and experience he clearly has the skills to compete it is just a game plan that has been lacking..
by Rob on Nov 10, 2008 12:54 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I don’t think he is stretching out fights for the sake of the fans, I think that he just CAN’T finish them.
by naturalshadow on Nov 10, 2008 3:28 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
fedor still wins, as much as i like nog what in fedors game show he would get caught in a submission?no he would just keep pounding nog like he did i think nog could last for a long time beat like that but the longer it went on the more damage the less likeley of a submission eventually if fedor could not stop him the reffs would have too.

If Tito and Koschek had a baby it would be the blond spawn of satan! Ugly ass Mofo’s!

Tito just has diarea of the mouth! Whenw ill he learn to keep his damn mouth shut? For the past 6 months he has been making bogus announcements every other week. STFU already. when you sign on the dotted line, then make your announcement, as if anyone really cares anyway!
I am throwing a huge party the day that TITO Ortiz retires from mma! All Tito Haters are invited!

Dude, did you watch him on the Celebrity Apprentice? He was a bumbling FOOL every time he opened his mouth!
by 1-0 via Arm Triangle on Nov 10, 2008 1:50 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Probably because everyone made him rich and famous.
Like him or hate him, he’s correct about beating Forrest and drawing* Rashad. If he signed with the UFC again, he’d be near the top in the UFC LHW division. Wandy, Forrest, Rashad, Machida, Silva, Chuck, Jackson, Silva, Tito…..they are pretty ,much interchangeable if you ask me.
by introvert on Nov 10, 2008 11:51 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I don’t know – maybe because he was a nice guy as a coach on TUF
As a fighter his biggest accomplishment is of course knocking out Ken Shamrock 3 times
by Anger Jack on Nov 10, 2008 11:59 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
He held the title longer than anyone else didn’t he? Unless Chuck held it longer….I’m not sure.
by introvert on Nov 10, 2008 12:14 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I think in length of time Tito held it longer, but Chuck held it longer in terms of title defenses? I think…please correct me if I’m wrong…
by Chadx23 on Nov 10, 2008 12:47 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
If he did hold it longer then Chuck it was because he was ducking Chuck.
by Bojo on Nov 10, 2008 3:05 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Meh….please. He fought Chuck twice, what more does he have to do to shake the “he ducked Chuck” shit? Fight him 3 times?….8 times?….37 times?
by introvert on Nov 10, 2008 4:39 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
He only fought Chuck when Chuck was the champ and he wanted the belt back. When Tito had it he refused to defend against Chuck. That’s ducking.

“If I go to Affliction, see me free on CBS” did he mix affliction with elite, or is this a hint of things to come? or have I been living under a rock?
by jack on Nov 10, 2008 12:15 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I think Affliction and CBS were talking after Elite went down…if I’m not mistaken there is still one more time slot for CBS Fights, and Affliction was a front runner for the time slot. Maybe Tito is banking on Affliction getting the gig?…I hope so too, TBH.
by introvert on Nov 10, 2008 12:31 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
It was rumors going around that CBS wanted to continue showing MMA. So people thought it might be good for Affliction. But it wont happen! In order for Affliction to stay in business they need PPV buys!
by JV on Nov 10, 2008 12:38 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
man i like tito, its hard to say hes finished when the lightheavy division is pretty much up in the air right now!! For sure hes under pressure to win big fights, however his only three crushing losses are to chuck twice and randy once! Machida hardly took him to school and as he said hes beat the champ and in actual fact did get robbed of a victory over rashad!!
there are loads of big fights for tito in the ufc and big money makers for the org, rematches with rashad, forrest and hell even chuck would be fun! plus theres machida again?? on top of that theres cain, rampage (not sure theyd fight), jardine, vera…..so many fun fights, i want him to re-sign hes a huge draw and a fun guy to bulk up cards, and if he ca make a run of wins who knows???
by mo on Nov 10, 2008 12:38 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Tito vs anyone in the division is pretty much 50/50 (sans Chuck…he’s got Tito’s number, and Tito is tailor made for Chuck). Beat the #1…drew* the #2…Tito vs anyone is a fun fight to watch. Lorenzo should sign him…it only stands to reason that the UFC would benefit.
A lot of people hate on Tito, but they never actually cite any reason that the UFC would faulter by signing him. The UFC is a better org with him than without him. PPV buys go up every time he fights…very good match-ups left for him to fight (Vera, Jardine, Forrest II, Rashad II, Wandy II, Machida II, etc…) I can’t believe they haven’t signed him yet TBH.

WAR TITO haha everybody hates him but in his time everybody loves him come on people………..
by JoW on Nov 10, 2008 12:54 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
But it doesnt take much for fans to jump ship. I have always been and always will be a tito fan. Who fn cares about the contract money bs!? Just bc he wants the most he can get, doesnt mean hes not fun to watch anymore.
by BOW on Nov 10, 2008 1:12 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
It’s typical of many people to jump ship…..not me.
I’ve never been a huge fan of his, but what I do like has nothing to do with his personality…..it has to do with the fact that he brings it.
Who pressed the action in these fights?
Tito vs Machida?
Tito vs Griffin?
Tito vs Rashad?
Tito vs Chuck II?
Sure as hell wasn’t his opponents that made those four fights entertaining.
by introvert on Nov 10, 2008 1:21 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
I disagree. I thought the fight against Forrest should have been a draw (10-8 Tito in round 1, then 10-9 Forrest in 2 and 3). Rashad had him in the air for slams several times, which Tito only escaped by grabbing the fence repeatedly. Chuck pounded on Tito’s face at will in both their fights. Those were all entertaining fights. I’ll give you Machida, but his whole style is being an elusive counter-puncher.
by PW on Nov 10, 2008 2:00 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
1st, Tito beat Forrest…..get over it.
2nd, Rashad slammed Tito once (late in the 3rd round, after doing dick for the entire fight). It was Tito who pressed the action.
3rd, Chuck lost the second round to Tito in their second fight….even in the first and third rounds, Tito pressed the action while Chuck backed up and countered (like he always does)….Tito made it an entertaining fight.
4th….Machida is boring as hell.
by introvert on Nov 10, 2008 2:50 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Machida didn’t run from you Tito…it was called defense…and defense wins championships…Tito is a washed up has-been like Chucky…they should both ride off into the sunset of retirement because they are both irrelevant to the sport
by MachidaFan on Nov 10, 2008 1:15 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
You’re right, it was defensive. Unfortunately for Machida, his defensive style (as technically sound as it is) is also as entertaining as watching paint dry. If Tito didn’t bring it in that fight, there would have been 15 minutes of absolutely nothing. Picture a fight with Machida vs Machida…what would we get?…..nothing.
by introvert on Nov 10, 2008 1:24 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Lovin’ the hair. Tito is still one of my favs and I think he still matches up well with all the top-10s in the UFC LHW division.
by xxBAxx816 on Nov 10, 2008 1:27 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Tito should hang up his gloves and do something else, he also looked much fatter since I’ve seen him last, for his own sake he should do something else
by nathan on Nov 10, 2008 1:58 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Why does Tito think he’s worth so much?
I’m glad his surgery went well. He was a pioneer of the sport.
But he can’t beat anyone! He has good jj, but won’t use it. He can’t strike with anyone in the UFC. Machida took him down and pounded on him. What does he have to offer?
by Jon on Nov 10, 2008 2:42 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Never have and never will like Tito. Past his prime. terrible hair and he’s looking kinda chubby.
by RiverHorror on Nov 10, 2008 3:03 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Watching machida drop tito with a knee to the body was clasic. since when is grabing the fence a dozen times to prevent take downs and losing a point for it mean getting robed? he even admitted he was cheating so stop crying about him getting robed.
by doomdoom on Nov 10, 2008 5:02 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Who’s crying?
The fact is, that Tito was owning Rashad, then only drew him because of the point deduction.
Why do people forget so easily, that even after the fence grab (when the point was taken), Rashad still ended up on top….just to get caught in a nasty guilotine, then saved by the bell?
The fence grab had absolutely no bearing on the fight whatsoever…….Rashad did nothing, sans one takedown and one punch (the one that cut Tito), the entire fight. But, yet Rashad is fighting for the title.
by introvert on Nov 10, 2008 5:37 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
The knee by Machida was nice though. I’m glad I woke up at that point of the fight to see it. The Machida knee, then the sub attempt by Tito were both pretty interesting and entertaining.

Jenna has sucked all the desire and killer instinct out of him, ever since they got together he has become soft. I sure she also sucked some other things out of him as well, if you know what I mean?
by mmafreak on Nov 10, 2008 5:22 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I would say it looks like she is feeding him well. He does look a little chubby in the cheeks.
Too bad there are so many Tito haters. If you ever get to meet him, you will think he is a pretty nice guy. He is not as arrogant as people think. He is in the business to promote him self.
by Calgary Real Estate on Nov 10, 2008 7:07 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
He looks a little porky is this video and 6 months of rehab isn’t going to help with his fitness much. He is still a pretty good draw but he’s probably burned too many bridges to fight in the UFC ever again.
by mma_dad on Nov 10, 2008 9:00 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
He did that interview at Rumble in the park in Fresno. What you all don’t see is that when he takes the mike in the cage, and tries to basically say the same things, the attendance boo’s him so loudly he gets pissed, and throws the mike in the air and storms out of the cage! His ship is sinking, and I don’t blame his fans for jumping off of it.
by Bob on Nov 10, 2008 11:47 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
From Tito’s comments, he could have beat Chuck twice, he definitely beat Forrest, he thinks he beat Rampage, and he really beat Machida because Machida “ran from” him. Uh-huh. You keep talkin’ that, Tito.
