Wow I think Randy will have no answer for Brocks strength, size, and power. Game plan master or not sometimes brute strength and speed are just to much for strategy. Did I actually get a first post for the first time in 2 years!

I agree. Just like Nog’s chances against the power & physical advantages of Big Tim. (Not trying to be a dick. Just an attempt to see things in a different perspective.)

Curious are you saying that Tim Sylvia’s skills on the ground are even comparable to Lesnar’s skills. Sylvia has good hands but that is it….If I misunderstood you sory.
by Da Monkey on Nov 8, 2008 11:37 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Randy will win. Also Sylvia showed some good ground game against monson who has better grappling credentials than Nog. Sylvia just can’t handle good guard players.

If you think Monsons JJ is even close to Nog’s your smoking rocks…..there is a reason why Nog was Pride Champion is UFC interium CHampion and Monson just gets KO’d/tko’d and even SUBMITTED he aint shit compared to BiG Nog in JJ!
by Khaos_Warrior on Nov 8, 2008 5:37 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Thanks Khaos! Could not agree more. Monson has some Abhu Dabi awards but has struggled big time in mma against real competition. Nog is definetly the better MMA grappler. There is not a person out there who would say Monson is a better MMA Grappler then Nog.
by Da Monkey on Nov 9, 2008 9:47 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
monson hasnt been submitted in mma since 98 or 99. Also, monson is widely considered one of the best grapplers around. As a multiple abu dhabi champ, I would argue that Monsons bjj is somewhat on the same level or maybe slightly less than nogs.

I wasn’t trying to say Sylvia had the ground skills. However, he has plenty of knowledge of how to defend since that would be his vulnerability and had his size advantage working for him. My point was that the skill, strategy, and experience of Nog trumped Tim’s size advantage. And Tim’s far more experienced than Brock. So looking at Randy vs. Brock, one could see those same attributes as ways to overcome the obvious physical difference.

Looks like Randy’s gonna get eaten alive by “The Monster” Brock Lesnar.

do they show you the best way to inject roids in this magazine?

I think Min Soo Kim, Frank Mir and Heath Herring would disagree with you.

who cares if they disagree, they all sux!

Haha, so true. carnage, you are as delirious as couture will be after the first 45 seconds.
by The Matt King on Nov 9, 2008 2:31 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah it looks that way and will probably end that way but Randy is one of those guys that always leave you broke as hell after you place a big bet against him and then he wins when all of the odds are against him. He is just one of those guys you can never count out. I did like Brock until he fought Herring and then laughed in his face at the end of the 3rd round. No class whatsoever. War Randy!

I like the horrible photoshop job.
Nice jaw shadow on Lesnar.
They put this on a magazine?
by DirtyML on Nov 8, 2008 10:32 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
I think that’s the shadow from his shoulder.
by c-war on Nov 8, 2008 11:36 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Yeah, lesnar has some sick traps. you wouldn’t see this shadow on a “normal” guy.

at least we don’t have to have a full shot of his lame sword tattoo.

For anyone obsessed and/or gay enough to want ot search for it, I believe it was last month’s issue of Flex they had the top 10 bodies of MMA. Sadly, this was not meant to coincide with Rachelle Leah’s Playboy appearance or any other ring girls.
Any guesses??
by PJJ on Nov 8, 2008 11:03 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
I see where you’re coming from PJJ but lets face it, Brock is in a different league than Tim when it comes to strength, quickness and athleticism. My biggest question for this fight is, if brock gets top position on randy will randy be able to do mount any offense or will he not be able to do anything much like heath?
by rydinlow on Nov 8, 2008 11:35 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
well heath just sucks….. thats why he couldn’t do anything…
by sanshouer on Nov 8, 2008 12:01 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
not fair…heath doesn’t suck. he’s no top 5 but he doesn’t suck.
by JB on Nov 8, 2008 11:35 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
28-14 could be considered a little sucky. Heath does suck against wrestlers though (Jake O’Brian). Dana picked Heath for a reason you know.
by Gord on Nov 9, 2008 12:20 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Gord – If that was the case, then Heath must not have gotten that memo. He seemed to think he’d make short work of rookie Lesnar.

long as we’re horribly photoshopping, might as well put Brock’s head on a pretty lady.
by FilmDrunk on Nov 8, 2008 12:07 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
randy is actually like the same height a brock. nice photoshop dicks. RANDY FTW!!!

They did a bad job on this cover. When you are on a cover of a body building magazine, you’re suppose to have your muscles pumped up by lifiting before the shoot and flexing so you look at your peak. Heck the magazine is even called “Flex”.
As a weight lifter I can tell you that this cover does an injustice to both guys. Brock’s body looks like it just woke up. He has no definition on his body in this pic. Although Randy looks alright, they could have done a better job on him too.
by Kevin on Nov 8, 2008 12:49 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
dude, do you really think a fighter (especially a HW) is trying to give a shit about how cut he is? Are you kidding? BB’s are so drained at a shoot. I guarantee they pumped up for this.
by The Matt King on Nov 9, 2008 2:36 AM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Brock is fat….that’s why there is no definition.
by Z Fighter on Nov 9, 2008 6:32 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
WATCH Randy’s first fight in the UFC. It was against a dude that was 6’4, 300 pounds!
by CARNAGE on Nov 8, 2008 12:51 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
But it wasn’t Brock Lesnar…… size coupled with skill is a hard thing to overcome.

oh yeah and strength and speed as well

PSYQO WHATEVER, WHAT SKILL DOES BROCK LESNER POSSES OTHER THAN LAYING ON SOMEONE AND RUSHING STRAIGHT AHEAD LIKE A BULL? THAT’S SKILL? ARE YOU NEW TO MMA LIKE BROCK? SERIOUSLY, I DIDN’T KNOW BROCK WAS AN EXPERIENCE, SKILLFULL FIGHTER. THATS HILARIOUS.
STRENGTH CAN BE CONQUERED. BRAIN OVER BRAWN MY FRIEND.

front page cover!!wow with this front page cover.ppv would be all time high hahaha.common mainsteam media wouldnt want to gamble with a steroid freak like brock.but this muscle magazine certainly did..its steroid land

This is MMA not WWF. Wrestling is a skill, but to be a MMA CHAMPION… you must be a fighter trained in various styles of combat. LIke for example gsp penn randy nog etc….
Brock is a great wrestler but not a skilled fighter. THERE"S a difference.
by CARNAGE on Nov 9, 2008 1:31 AM EST reply actions 0 recs
sure but Brock is a badass that is going to take all of his aggressions out on Randy.. he’s going to put all of his weight into his fists when he cracks Randy.. Brock Lesnar by 1st round manhandling!
by RoB on Nov 9, 2008 2:18 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
CARNAGE, Are u saying Brock is NOT trained or training in various style of combat?
For the last 2 years Brock has been training with Minnesota Martial Arts Academy by Erik Paulson and Greg Nelson who also train Sean Sherk. Pat Miletich has said: “In a year, there won’t be a man alive who can beat him” Look how far Josh Koscheck has come in 4yrs, by year 2 he was showing great improvement.
Brock’s training has taken a total back seat to his wrestling, since he’s already so accomplished at it, he focuses on everything else other than that.
Brock has demolished Heath Herring who has been fighting since 1997 (not that I think Herring is all that good.
I don’t really like Brock, Couture definitely has skill & I think he has the edge in all areas, except speed and strength, but to say Brock has no skill??? is really saying that he is not learning or training in all areas of MMA… and I’ve ‘never’ ‘never’ heard anything to the contrary to lead me to believe that, so I don’t know where u get yr info unless ur just Bashing Brock or PSYCHO78 based on emotion?… if so please’ my apologies.. bash away.

I really can’t believe people think that Brock Lesnar is going to win. I’m not saying that Brock Lesnar doesn’t have a good chance, everyone has a chance in the MMA game. But Randy Couture is going to win, no doubt about it. Give Lesnar about another year in the MMA game, and then he will be a true contender against anyone.
by E. Fairway on Nov 9, 2008 12:59 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I have to fully agree with most saying Randy will take this fight and I am a HUGE Brock fan too.Lets break it down simply, how many think Frank could beat Rabdy and Frank beat Brock. Brock is a great wrestler and striker, but he only needs to make one mistake and Randy has got him. Thats the big difference here.
by Ray Van Zant on Nov 9, 2008 3:00 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Ya, I agree. Brock has potential but roid size and strength only get you so far in mma you need the skills and time to get there.
by Vale Tudo on Nov 10, 2008 3:32 PM EST up reply actions 0 recs
Experience and Skill will win over Retard Strength any day, Couture.
by Z Fighter on Nov 9, 2008 6:28 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Brock Lesnar is a purple Jujitsu dude according to his training partners. Add that to his strength and wrestling ability, and you’ve got a monster. Couture would a very slight favorite in my opinion, and that’s being kind to him really.
by MMA Guru on Nov 9, 2008 6:53 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
I doubt Lesnar will Finish Couture since he couldn’t finish Herring. I think Brocks strength and quickness will overwhelm Couture especially early in the first few rounds. I picked Lesnar to Win but can he control couture for 5 rounds? I think Lesnar will win but Couture will have a chance maybe late in the 5th round for a submission or something crazy.
by Chavez Monroe on Nov 9, 2008 7:57 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Brock Lesnar is a roid freak. I hope he loses. He’s a freak of nature and athlete but not a mma fighter.
by Vale Tudo on Nov 10, 2008 3:28 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Dude the key word is according to his trainers he is a purple belt in JJ. I can be alot of things according to other people but i’m not. By the way who are his BJJ trainers? I didn’t think they had anything but wrestling and boxing in Minnesota.
by Vale Tudo on Nov 10, 2008 3:31 PM EST reply actions 0 recs
Anyeone remember how Rico Rodriguez just sat his fat arse weight on Randy for ground & pound? Remember, Randy does not have the quick submission ability of Mir. And he is NOT going to push Brock around… on that note you can expect Brock to atleast win a round! or Two""!!! and that is all he needs. Randy has c chance on his feet and his hads are underated. I remember seeing him in the first and second Lidell fight.. and he can connect, so if he hurst Brock, then Brock may go on the backfoot for a while (as the crowd scream their head off) or he may go forward in madness leaving himself open for a KO. Yes I said KO! a chin is a chin..
If Randy does not succeed with this the it is points Win to Brock. (note I have left out the obvious.. the possibility of Brock overpowering Randy with strikes for TKO)
Bet in Brock

The 6’4 300 lber in Couture’s first UFC was victim #1. Victim #2 was Steven Graham 6’2 295lb. and LIFTER STRONG. Randy destroyed him too. I believe history repeats itself!
