I’m grinning ear to ear like I just got a BJ. These blogs are unreal. I woke up this morning, made my son breakfast and was hoping this would be up, and was so disappointed it wasn’t yet. This guy is so hands on, how can you not like him??

Dana is one Gangster dude..Cote..oh man..I see the end of the Silva fight being a combo of the Leben/Irvin fight. Dana looked at Cote.. like ur dead..and you don’t really know it till Saturday night atUFC90.

by newfie on Oct 23, 2008 1:04 PM EDT up reply actions
A spiderman track suit with body armor to cover all vital organs? As if he needs it.

Watching Silva train VS Cote train, is like watching a high school kid VS an olympic athlete.

Dana is the man! cote is in trouble, and Phillies are gonna win tonight

Yeah, I am working for the next 6 months which prevents me for posting as much as I normally would. Thats why I have been trying to stay away from stupid arguments.

Im 31 6′2″ and walk around at 155 to 160 lbs. I have been sparring and fighting since grade school although I have no paper to show anything I know I could really be molded into a fighting machine very quickly. I have great hands and footwork, my punches are very fast and ive been told on numerous occasions that I hit super hard, I have good kicks and kicking power, I am a damn good wrestler and know some submissions. My stregth at this size and weight are outstanding. I need a shot on the Ultimate Fighter and would love to have a coach to guide the way and show me how to get on the show as I know without a dought that I would be a force not to be mucked with!!! Anyone got the time to help out the next lightweight champ?
.
.
if this is a serious post, where are you from? we can all give advice once we know where you’re at!
by kevin (most moderated guy on mmamania) on Oct 23, 2008 2:06 PM EDT up reply actions
And if his walk around is at 155-160 why not fight at 145 and knock off faber. The height and reach difference will be rediculous
by James S on Oct 23, 2008 3:16 PM EDT up reply actions
James, do you need some help too. James is going to be the future HW champ of the world!!! :)
by BNF on Oct 23, 2008 3:28 PM EDT up reply actions
I “could be” the future HW champion of the world. If Fedor can do it, I can too. ( I wish)

he looked like he gained some weight, maybe it was just the jacket he had on.

Leading up to watching this video blog, I had this weird feeling that Cote was going to be the “Petruzeli” of the UFC and upset the spider. But after seeing him shadow box, i’ve completely changed my mind. I know he wasn’t going max speed, but you can tell he moves to slow to evade anderson’s assualt and to even put a hit on the spider. SPEED KILLS. That’s why i believe only GSP has a legitimate shot on beating the spider.
by Open24hrz on Oct 23, 2008 12:48 PM EDT up reply actions
agreed…he looked so slow and Sliva looked aggressive, won’t last long. I really hope Anderson doesn’t have a scratch on him by nights end…. so there is a chance to see him again real soon.

“Robbie Lawler’s with Matt Hughes”….interesting.
by introvert on Oct 23, 2008 12:24 PM EDT reply actions
Why is that interesting? Go reply to my comment on the other thread introtard.
by BNF on Oct 23, 2008 12:26 PM EDT up reply actions
Lawler n’ Hughes have been friends for a long time.
by THORAZINE on Oct 23, 2008 4:32 PM EDT up reply actions
I know that, but obviously introtard doesn’t. He annoys me so I was just trying to expose him. Read all the comments below, apparently I am not the only one.
by BNF on Oct 23, 2008 4:42 PM EDT up reply actions
Everyone on this site hates introvert, don’t let him get to you.
by RedDog on Oct 24, 2008 4:32 AM EDT up reply actions
Its interesting that they mentioned Lawler would be there, as if they are trying to get him back now that he is a free agent. Thats why its interesting.
by 1-0 via Arm Triangle on Oct 23, 2008 11:08 PM EDT up reply actions
Well they are always at the fights together and it looked like they were going through the seating chart.. Maybe Dana will have a little conversation with him bout returning to the UFC!
by Adam Guillen on Oct 23, 2008 12:27 PM EDT up reply actions
That’s what I was eluding to, but apparently we are going to stoop to levels of name-calling and crap instead of discussing the blog…..again (rolling eyes….again).
by introvert on Oct 23, 2008 12:46 PM EDT up reply actions
introvert, you bring it upon yourself:
1. sarcasm doesn’t translate well on the screen so put (sarcastic) or explain it.
2. you constantly bash the UFC, so go watch your local mma cage fighting minor league show and update us on the best fighter wherever it is you live.
by kevin (most moderated guy on mmamania) on Oct 23, 2008 1:53 PM EDT up reply actions
Why would you even try to make that in to a joke, either you have no sense of humor, or you are what all of us ,already think you are.So go roll your eyes, slobber on yourself and go dee, dee, dee
by scott on Oct 23, 2008 3:37 PM EDT up reply actions
very interesting considering their best friends, train together and probably bail hay together (props jesse)
by kevin (most moderated guy on mmamania) on Oct 23, 2008 1:06 PM EDT up reply actions
Do you have a clue about anything when it comes to MMA,
by scott on Oct 23, 2008 1:26 PM EDT up reply actions
For the people that do not have a clue Matt Hughes runs HIT squad ,with the assistance of Robbie Lawler ,they have been training together for years ,back at Militich(I probably misspelled that )
by scott on Oct 23, 2008 1:30 PM EDT up reply actions
Lol thats like going “Rich Franklin with Grugel”… interesting. The only interesting thing is that you have something bad to say about the UFC and Dana White any chance you get but you don’t ever have any fighter inside knowledge. If Tim Sylvia and Matt Hughes are in the same room talking don’t be suprised because even though they fight for seperate orgs they are friends.
by trevortni on Oct 23, 2008 1:33 PM EDT up reply actions
tru, gotta love these blogs. All the behind the scenes axcess is great.
by Adam Guillen on Oct 23, 2008 12:26 PM EDT reply actions
Dos Santos looks pretty dangerous. I would put some money on him, considering he’s a huge underdog.
by stryker on Oct 23, 2008 12:45 PM EDT reply actions
I agree, his hands looked quick and powerful.
by Shaun on Oct 23, 2008 12:58 PM EDT up reply actions
I was gonna type the exact sentiment. For a huge guy he had some snap on those punches.

Great Video. This behind the scene stuff is awesome.

They’ve probably both seen it but I think it is on tonight (thursday).
by DirtyML on Oct 23, 2008 1:31 PM EDT up reply actions
it is on tonight right after the ufc 90 countdown. these countdowns always get me pumped up. i cant wait to see the koscheck and alves segment.
by b.w. on Oct 23, 2008 1:57 PM EDT up reply actions
I like the all access, i get very bored with the countdown shows. usually mania has put all the videos of trash talking up prior to the countdown, so it’s all old!
good job mania!

I wonder what it feels like to be the President of the UFC and all the fighters are nicest to you. They let you film whatever u want and do whatever you want. Dana White lives the life of all MMA fanboys. Including me!

I know there is a lot more to Dana’s job as president, but it sure looks fun. I think these video blogs are best!

“Anderson “The Spider” Silva talked about his retirement, his desire to move to Boxing and consequently the fight against Roy Jones Jr."
He’s still after roy jones? I guess thats the real reason for him wanting to retire? i hope he comes back after.

Big upside, but big downside too. When Dana makes the call on anything, it’s his neck in the noose. People are quick to praise, but even quicker to criticize. He’s got a lot of pressure on him, and unfortunately that pressure is probably a 24/7 presence in his life. I don’t think I’d want his job, and I know I wouldn’t be as good at it.
I’d have to cut the budget for ring girls’ attire completely.
by Graham on Oct 23, 2008 1:52 PM EDT reply actions
lol see introvert, now thats funny.
I would love this job and envy john for becoming the next marketing exec for the UFC.
John, i also heard the same rumor you heard that silva wants to fight at ufc92. he’ll end this quick, and maybe fight at 205 in another month!
by kevin (most moderated guy on mmamania) on Oct 23, 2008 1:55 PM EDT up reply actions
He’s not talking to you. He is engaging 2 other bloggers.
by DSmith on Oct 23, 2008 2:58 PM EDT up reply actions
was saying you’re comment about the ring girls attire budget cut was funny…introvert tries to be funny but isn’t!

I’m having a horrible day for noticing details. Man, if I’m not careful tonight, my wife might have a visitor at her back door by mistake.
by Graham on Oct 23, 2008 4:09 PM EDT up reply actions
That’s okay, Graham. Most people here would be happy to oblige your request…that is, if Dana lets you pig roast them since he’ll be in the other end already.
by introvert on Oct 23, 2008 4:33 PM EDT up reply actions
Instead of being funny, you’re coming off lame and confusing. Or you’re the weakest troll I’ve ever seen.
by Graham on Oct 24, 2008 9:28 AM EDT up reply actions
That poor bastard tried to get up and the trainer just shoved him back into Silva’s hooks…lol…what a job that must be to get whaled on by The Spider
by Jesse Holland on Oct 23, 2008 4:55 PM EDT reply actions
I noticed that too, he was like “where you think you’re going”
silva was very winded too, he trains hard, “practice how you play” thats what my dad always told me!
by kevin (most moderated guy on mmamania) on Oct 23, 2008 5:05 PM EDT up reply actions
Yeah apparently Silva expects to have Cote’s back… or just knock him out in 30 seconds!
by 1-0 via Arm Triangle on Oct 23, 2008 11:13 PM EDT up reply actions
Junior Dos Santos seems to be a real heavy hitter.
I try to hate Anderson Silva because I cheer up for Coté but the guy is so fucking funny and seems so fucking cool that I just can’t do nothing.
by Daddy Lupo on Oct 23, 2008 5:20 PM EDT reply actions
Junior Dos Santos by vicious 1st rd KO and after that he enters the boxing world and becomes the new HW champ! he looked like he had great hands maybe a new Andrei Arlovski who knows..
by RoB on Oct 23, 2008 6:05 PM EDT reply actions
They really should have shown a segment of Cote actually training. It seemed like he just got finished with this training and got caught sitting down. Looked like they asked him to shadow box or something. Seems really stupid to just shadow box and not practice your grappling….
Just wish we could have seen some actual sparring or something. It really made it look bad for Cote. I like Silva… but I hope to see the underdog win again. That would be nice considering it has been happening more often lately.
Lets just hope it is a good fight. I want to see Silva fight again really soon… but I would much rather see him in a real fight instead of just kicking the shit out of everyone he comes across.
by enzo-enormous on Oct 23, 2008 9:18 PM EDT reply actions
It looks as though Cote is in trouble. I hope Dana continues to do these video blogs. This is the reason the UFC reigns supreme. Keep up the good work. Can;t wait for the fight tomorrow night.
