i personally think fedor will destroy arlovski and believe he is no 1 p4p fighter in the world.ive seen himin trouble once when he got caught by that wrestler.his recuperative powers are amazing and he throws hws round like rag dolls.do you think if fedor was in the ufc dana wouldnt be calling him the best in the world.

That is an absoulte disgrace!!!!! People talk crap about the UFC but there is a reason why they are number 1. How do you not include AA in that trailer? Fedor is Affliction…UFC is fighters. Not much love being shown for The Pitbull. I think he is by far and away a better striker than Fedor, but at the same time Fedor has a much better ground game. Should be interesting to say the least. I just hope that if Fedor finally gets beat, it isn’t just because of the tissue paper he calls skin.

Psyqo78, well put, a lot of people dont realize the difference. Ive noticed that too, that Fedor’s chokes are always of the air, never really of the blood, hurts way more, but it wont pass you out as quick as a proper blood choke, but apparently he does it so hard that it hurts so much they tap quicker then a blood choke would pass you out.
P.S., to anybody that rolls around or trains, do you ever get a sore @ss throat the day after getting an air choke thrown on you? Every time I get choked like that the next day I can feel the freakin scracthes on my throat where the 2 sides had smashed agaisnt eachother.

Affliction is doing the same thing Elitexc did by putting all thier eggs in one basket with fedor. Whats going to happen if he gets knocked out in 14 seconds too? And don’t tell me it can’t happen, all it takes is one punch. ex. serra&gsp

I hate to break it to you guys, thats not a fedor/aa trailer. that was fedor vs. tim. besides being mentioned (in writing) what did this video have to do with AA? It’s a total disrespect to one of the all time best HW’s out there today! What? better submissions. LMAO, Fedor has the slickest armbar out there. There MIGHT be an arguement for Silva or GSP ahead of Fedor for P4P, but there is no arguement for BJ to be any higher than 4th. He’s only won just over 2/3 of his fights.

Way to promote Arlovski, Affliction. But, yes, Fedor will destroy Arlovski. Especially if he watched how Big Country gave Arlovski trouble. Arlovski and Big Timmy enjoyed a time when UFC had nobody else to offer in the HW division.

Am I the only one that thinks “Big Country” didn’t give Arlovski trouble at all? Sure it went to the 3rd round, but AA was desroying him the whole time and was never in trouble besides being on the ground which the ref stood them back up.

Absolutely Big Country won round 1. He had AA in side control and was delivering light hammer fists. I wanted AA to win, and was very disappointed by his terrible take down defense, wrestling, and lack of ground game being on bottom. These guys either don’t remember or are too biased to judge. AA is a goner.

How do you all manage to get words out with Fedors balls so far down your throats? Yeah, he’s good, but he isn’t unbeatable. Arlovski has the tools to beat him. Will he beat em? The odds aren’t in his favor, but you cant rule it out. It definitely wont be a complete destruction of Arlovski. Fedor will respect Arlovski’s game more than he did Timmeh’s. It’s gonna be a good fight.
And, if I were Arlovski, I’d be pissed they’re only pimping Fedor like he’s fighting a nobody not even worth mentioning. Just more reason for Arlovski to come out and ruin Fedors mystique.

I think AA will pose some problems for Fedor too, not sure why people are completely writing him off, like he is a nobody. Up until the most recent Dana comments I was routing for AA in this fight, but now I want to see Fedor destroy another UFC HW Champ.
Should be a good fight though.

striking. fedor’s flailing punches are powerful but not technical at all. you can’t write off andrei’s sambo either. he’s never been submitted, and big country absolutely did not give him trouble. andrei went for the trip and took him down but then bounced off his gigantic stomach.

Maybe Fedor could beat AA 8 out of 10 times, but it only takes once.
I think Fedor will win, but AA certainly has a chance, alot bigger of a chance than some people here are giving him.

I clinked on that link looking for a Fedor/AA fight trailer and all it that was there was a date with the same played out recap of the Silva fight that we all have seen 100 times. Seems like AA doesn’t even matter here to the promotion, even if AA is a huge underdog.
Is Affliction gearing themselves up to be a one trick pony…
I hope to see the same AA that was smashing dudes back on ’05 even if I do wonder if he has lost the fire inside.

im not the biggest fedor fan in the world, but seeing him destroy big poopy again and again always brings a smile to my face. i’ll never get tired of that clip. a.a. has a chance. he has quick hands and punchs hard. BE had the fedor/sakuraba clip running yesterday, and if a 200lb sakuraba can rock him bad like that, so can arlovski. if the fight goes to the ground, arlovski is toast. i cant see fedor playing into andrei’s strengths and not going for the takedown, but who knows.

True, but there is a huge difference in their Sambo. Fedor trains Combat Sambo whereas Arlovski does Sport Sambo. That difference could affect the outcome of the fight if it hits the ground.

I’m not gonna pretend to know all about sambo and the different styles, but I am sure it won’t be easy to submit AA and it won’t be easy to KO him. This should be a tough fight. I do think Fedor wins though.

Fedor better than Werdum on the ground? Are you STUPID?! Quit sucking on Fedor’s nuts!! Werdum is a 3-time BJJ World Champion! Fedor may be good but he’s not THAT good.
He’s not strong enough to beat Arlovski’s sprawl to put him on his back so that’s not going to happen. This fight will take place 95% on the feet except for when the two of them get knocked down by each other’s fists. But then it will get right back up. That is until AA hits Fedor with a vicious uppercut and puts Fedor on his back and then pounds him out.

yea, they could’ve showed Andrei atleast for 1 sec.. the only reason Andrei got into some trouble with Nelson is because he made a mistake when he decided to take him down and the fat boy was so heavy that he happened to get on top.. No one in the world can take Andrei down just like that and definitely not Fedor, so on the feet this should be a close fight!

He pretty much just destroys everyone he faces.
Looks a lot like MMA to me. And, it’s supposed to be similar to both MMA and judo.
Now, how is Fedors combat sambo going to play any part in this fight against Arlovski’s sport sambo. Sport Sambo is the same thing, with no weapons training. And, Fedor cant use weapons in the fight. Both sport and combat use throws and subs (no chokes in sport). The main difference, combat sambo uses striking where sport doesnt.
So, Jesse Holland, I dont see any relevance to your comment that their sambo training is going to play a part in this fight. Absolutely 0. On the ground, combat and sport are almost exactly the same, just sport doesnt use chokes. Tyey’re both well versed on the ground, that is all it comes down to.

I know that I will never count out the pitbull. Hopefully he brings those vampire teeth and starts biting people. Just kidding. Fedor is a bad mofo but I just cant count out Arlovski. For some reason, I think that Arlovski might get the quick combo and have a shot at putting the hurtin on Fedor. I really have nothing to back that up.. just a feeling that keeps coming back.
AA is faster, and his hands are like steel mallets. He is also much more technical when it comes to striking. The thing with Fedor is, tho, that this dude can knock anyone out. He doesnt have the 1 punch ko power.. but he can daze anyone with one punch, and that is all he needs to land another, then, of course, a few more…
If AA fights smart like Bisping did against Leben… then he has a really good chance. It will then depend on the takedown defense at that point. That is what makes me think about leaning with Fedor.
War AA!! Fight smart and you can win bro.

WOW, he destroyed tim so convincingly not some clip to the back of the head like serra did to gsp, he dropped bombs on an unwounded silvia and knocked him down pulled a couture and finished him. Randy shouldn’t be eager to fight him, can’t see him doing very well. Can’t really see anyone beating fedor, only anderson silvia if the fight remained on the feet but we all know it wouldn’t.
