this is a sick ass card. All the mir hate is laughable, I’m not saying he’ll beat nog, but an in shape 100% mir is a threat to any HW out there. I’m looking forward to this and the BJ/GSP, but we’’ll save that conversation for another day!

Haha yeah i am also looking forward to that fight. I really cant wait to see Mir and Nog battling it out on the ground. Shoud be epic.

a threat to anyone? who vera or cruz maybe you mean hardonk.mir is one of the best bjj hw’s but has never been a true top 10 hw in his whole career, his only noteworthy victory is over sylvia and maybe a green lesnar, i would put money he would never beat either one of them again.

I agree with roy on that one

I didn’t say he was top anything, just he’s a threat! He’s a legit bjj black belt, and has improved his stand up. “only sylvia” you mean back when he was dominating everyone, and was juiced up! If mir never got into that accident, he would have been top 5, too bad for him it happened, but he’s almost back to form.
by the way, he’s the best commentator out ther!
thanks for the compliment on my family roy!

i real think tim was to big headed at the time and didn’t give mir the respect and thats why he got caught, the accident did affect him but he was never great and would never have been much better than he is now.and i do like mir and think he is one of the best commentators also.

can anyone tell me what the price range for the tickets usually are?

by bambam on Oct 17, 2008 12:33 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

The best seats at the MGM are the ones that are slightly elivated. I have paid $450 and I have paid $750 a seat it depends on the event. The nose bleeds are probaby $50.

I’ve paid $300 and $400ish. And those are excellent seats (2-3 rows from the floor). It’s always been worth it. It get the sense though that even it you have the $175 seats a little higher up (like 200 section) you’d still have good seats because you’d be looking right down into the octagon. IIt’s hard to get a bad seat at a UFC event inless you’re in the $50 nosebleeds.

What event did you go to? I paid $450 for BJ/Sherk and $750 for Chuck/Rampage. I was happier with the $450 seats.

ufc 91 tickets were expensive! 150$ for a single nosebleed ticket, im not going… i work for a broker but damn i cant imagine dropping that in order to watch two shapes move around in the octagon… id much rather go to a bar for FREE!

I was at UFC 84 Penn/Sherk and paid $250+taxes and was quite happy with my seats (i believe M3 or Uc was the section – about 5 or so rows down from the Garden entrance level)
Although I looked at the same seats for Couture/Lesner and they were double the price, so it really depends on the event for prices.

BNF- I went to 81 Mir/Lesnar ($300 incl. taxes) great seats row D- you really can’t get a bad seat at the Mandalay Bay at all. I was about 75 feet away from the cage. Then I went to 87 GSP/Fitch and those were $400-450. Again great seats 2 rows closer to the floor but a little father away from the cage because of the size of the venue. No complaints either way, but yeah I was happier with the $300 seats. I’m not a big spender esp. these days, but I do think a live UFC is worth the money. I don’t think I would do $750 though.

This is a STACKED card!!! my picks are BIg nog by submission or judges, forrest by judges, and wandy by knocked you the fuck out due to knees to the head!! anyone else agree LOL

by Ricky on Oct 17, 2008 12:40 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah i agree with them picks.

by Macho Bullshit on Oct 17, 2008 12:45 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Big Nog and Wandy are my picks too. I don’t know about the Forrest v Rashad fight though. Rashads two biggest fights were Tito and Chuck. He Tied (really lost though) Tito, and knocked Chuck the hell out. Forrest sub Rua though, and beat Rampage. Tough to call, but I can’t count out Forrest. I just hope it is a freaking war.

This is the best card since Penn v Sherk.

i went to ufc 88 in atlanta, and i paid 175 for my ticket and the seat wasnt bad.

by mr.rice-a-roni on Oct 17, 2008 1:10 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

if you paid 175 for ufc88 you were in definite nose bleed section because i paid 250 a piece and i was in the little tv section.

It all depends on the venue and the event. MGM LAS VEGAS is the most expensive.

Nonetheless being there is great in itself, trust me.
