those would be my bets
since I’m out of work for 3 months and now have to live on 700 a week, I’ll be on here a litle more. Anyone need a writer or research guy, let me know.

by the way guys, i’m not on strike yet, but striking gets no money, so I went on disability. The state pays like 65% of your pay…no taxes though. better than nothing!

Sounds alright mate!

I’m always tempted to have a bet but am not a gambling man, and the thing is with mma its so unpredictable apart from BJ vs GSP 2 ; )

Wonder if this will be covered by British bookmakers, if so might look into it… does anyone know or have a link to a website?

I feel your pain man. I’ve been taking whatever temp and staffing work I can get my hands on for about 6 months now. It’s a hard way to live.

that sucks bro, sorry to hear that. I’ll be sitting on my ass collecting money. I’ll bring home close to 10k in this “vacation,” I’m not complaining too much. More concerned about keeping busy. Too much time to gamble!

WOW. I hope BetUs has these same odds when they do put them up!

I love Paul Kelly at +285 against Marcus Davis. Davis couldn’t stop the Swick takedown, so he should have no answer to the Kelly takedown.

Also, I’ve been hearing alot of big things about David Baron. He’s +145 right now. I expect that to change towards the negative. I’ll be rooting for Miller to win, but Baron has no worse than a 50/50 shot at winning so +145 is ideal.

I got too much money tied up in Lesnar and football right now. Looks like I’m going to put together one moster of a parlay including a couple of dogs and hope to hit it big!!!

Kelly/Baron/Leben

Don’t have an odds calculater, but does anyone know what a parlay of those 3 fighters at hose posted odds would pay out at? I’d guess around 10 – 12 to 1

by ViolentMike on Oct 16, 2008 12:25 PM EDT up reply actions

I like all three of those underdogs for betting purposes. Kinda a long shot as a parlay, but it would pay nicely and is definitely possible. I especially like Kelly at +285 even though I’m a big Marcus Davis fan. I think Davis’ going to need to catch a submission off his back or he’s going to lose a boring decision. I think Baron should actually be favored in his fight, and all it takes is one punch for Chris Leben to pull an upset.

NO idea who I will bet on yet!

As much as I like Marcus Davis, I will take the odds on Paul Kelly!

These fights are tough to predict!

Kelly, Leben and Jardine all look like good underdog bets to me.

by PW on Oct 16, 2008 11:41 AM EDT up reply actions

Just confirmed that no odds other than the Leben and Vera fights are up on BetUs.

HOWEVER, I did notice something interesting…. The odds to Henderson/Franklin. For years, I said that Hendo would be the favorite against Franklin. The odds opened at

Hendo -135
Rick -105

Not a big favorite , but still the favorite.

etim, bielkheden, kelly and jardine are some nice underdogs..

bet the house on hendo… hes not losing to ace ventura

by brendan on Oct 16, 2008 5:49 PM EDT up reply actions

How Neil Waine is such an underdog is beyond me. The guy is a better striker than Carwin and also a great wrestler. All I see for carwin is that he has a big reach advantage and 10 or 15 pound advantage.

If I was a betting man, I would put some serious money on Waine.

carwin is going to take his head off man

by steve on Oct 16, 2008 2:05 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah sorry, I see Carwin running away with this one. Although I was shocked at those freaking odds. Remember though odds are put out there to try to keep the bets even on both sides. Carwin is the more known of the two. I like Jardine though, and Leben as underdogs with value.
