CB Dollaway vs Mike Massenzio UFC 92 fight possible

The Ultimate Fighter 7 runner-up CB Dollaway (7-1) will make his third straight Octagon appearance when he takes on Mike Massenzio (11-2) at UFC 92 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, on New Year’s Eve weekend according to FiveOuncesOfPain.com.
"The Doberman" was supposed to fight Jorge Rivera on the same card; however, it appears that Massenzio has replaced him for reasons unknown at this time.
Dollaway was unsuccessful in his bid to win it all at the TUF 7 Finale on June 21, losing to eventual tournament winner Amir Sadollah via first round submission (armbar).
The Arizona Combat Sports-trained fighter was able to rebound in his next appearance and score an impressive submission victory over Jesse "Yellow Submarine" Taylor less than a month later at Fight Night 14 with a rare "Peruvian necktie."
He is a strong wrestler out of Arizona State University (ASU) -- a key strength that will match up similar to that of Massenzio's, a two-time high school state wrestling and a national junior college champion from Bergen Community College out of Paramus, N.J.
Massenzio was among several talented fighters the UFC signed to multifight contracts after the now defunct International Fight League (IFL) fire sale. He looked impressive in his debut for the promotion, submitting Drew McFedries via first round submission (kimura) at UFC Fight Night 15 in Omaha, Neb., on September 17.
UFC 92 features the light heavyweight championship bout between Forrest Griffin and Rashad Evans, as well as the second half of the heavyweight tournament eliminator between interim division champion Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Frank Mir.

I dont know what it is about him… but I just dont like CB. I dont think he is even all that good. I hope he does something that makes me like him as a fighter. He obviously works hard and likes to take fights.. that I do like about him. Maybe I will change my attitude if he has a good performance in this fight.

I have no interest in watching CB and personally I don’t think he’s a great fighter. Hopefully he’ll fade into the background after he loses to Mike (whatever his name is).

Agree. CB is a good college wrestler, but he does not use that skill well in MMA. He has shown some good strikes but does not put them together. And for a wrestler he has NO gas tank at all. I will be routing against him just like mac danzig. I hate the cocky guys from the tuf house.

I’ve had the pleasure of training with Mike Massenzio at Jerry Jones Ultimate Martial arts in Nutley, NJ, for several months where he received a black belt in free-style jui-jitsu. Let me just say that i’ve rolled with this guy and he is an absolute specimen. He lost to Dolloway in the JUCO national championships but that was his only loss in his career there, leaving his record at 81-1. His wrestling is equal to that of Koscheck’s and he’s been boxing out of Paterson, NJ, now for several years. Watch out all you CB fans because Mike Massenzio is on a war path to avenge his only blemish in his wrestling career.
