Thiago Alves video on Diego Sanchez UFC 90 fight

Alves has to be on something… they need to test his ass at least once a month… he couldn’t make weight against Hughes that meann’t something… i hope sanchez wins but…

All fighters were tested and he was clean. Diego is delusional because he thinks his chin has been tested. We’ll how it holds up. Karo’s chin didn’t do so good.

Sanchez wins this fight in the first or second round. Diego’s only real fight he has had trouble in was against Fitch. I think Alves will come in aggressive but Sanchez will eventually get him down and pound him out.

I think there is no way diego can pound out alves who will probably outwiegh him by at least 15 lbs on fight night

but I could see diego submittting thiago off his back

put thiago in with a high level BJJ fighter and he will get submitted

Its not that he didnt make the weight for the Hughes fight, that doesnt mean anything. its the fact that if you look and his previous fight before the Hughes fight. He wasnt near as big and muscular as in that fight.

He also was busted using diuretics to make weight in another match.
He has definately juiced, and he is just way too big to try to keep fighting at 170, but like he said, it is dangerous to fight Anderson.

Yes it is very dangerous fighting Silva. if you fight Anderson Silva your most likely not getting hurt, your getting injured, put in the hospitol.

i can see Thiago winning this one, only cuz Sanchez sometimes trys to put on too much pressure and isn’t fighting technical, his last fight he was all over the place, works against most other fights but not top 5 WW he’ll get knocked out if he trys to go in their wild….. PLUS i want Thiago to get RUINED by GSP!!! only so we can have a GSP vs Silva match up if GSP beats BJ, then Thiago.. i can see it happening for a huge PPV event…

Sanchez has problems against Bigger stronger wrestlers (i.e. Fitch/Koscheck) and Alves is a Maui-Thai specilist, I think that Sanchez can take this fight down and defeat Alves via decision.

Diego can just as easily hop on his back ala Stun Gun v. Matt Brown. He has done it before.

The only thing Alves has going for him is his size and striking.

Alves by vicios KO!! Alves is the 2nd best in the world at 170. I think he gives GPS a run for his money. He has improved a lot since the Fitch fight

Thiago is one of my favorite fighters now, I am really impressed by his striking and he is a huge 170. I don’t think anyone can bully him around in 170 division I personally have him ranked #2 behind GSP. The only thing that is bothering me about him is his size I hear some of you mentioning that he may be taking something and he missed making weight against Hughes (only one time so I don’t it will be factor) but if he is juicing I think a suspension is in order.

He also got suspended about a year and half ago for taking an illegal diuretic that is used for cutting weight. It is always a struggle for him to make wieight.

Glad u brought this up. Thiago is a cheater. If a guy will resort to using diuretics you know he won’t hesitate to use anabolic steroids. Just because someone passed a drug test does not mean that they are clean. In many ways steroids are safer than diuretics

How come then they can’t detect this, is it an intentional cover up or is it just not having the right procedure/tool to detect it. They can detect if someone is smoking weed but they can’t detect someone taking roids. I’m a little confused on this.

Thiago Alves is one bad dude. Can’t see Diego making it out of the second round in this fight. Alves is the better fighter on the feet and Matt Hughes couldn’t take Thiago down, so can’t see Diego putting Thiago on his back.

Thiago seems to have improved a lot and looked very dominating in his last two fights and is the only guy to finish karo. I would like to see him fight koscheck or get a rematch with fitch, it would be interesting. I actually think thiago is the toughest fight out there for gsp style wise, his vicious knees are bad news for wrestlers. I think gsp will beat penn more convincingly than the first time I doubt gsp gets eye poked again and a 5 rounder definitely doesn’t favor penn, and I think penns striking is over rated. Gsp has better foot movement and better kicks, penn goes all nuts in the first round then has nothing for other rounds gsp is the smarter fighter and will win this one.

Great interview; it improved my attitude toward Alves. I am rooting for Diego only cause I was already, and previously had a poor outlook on Alves. But, like I said, this interview cheered me up for him.
