jared shaw is such a “retard”….as he watches his poster boy kimbo get knocked the fuck out. hahahahahahah

first off, a company head is supposed to be like a reporter and unbiased. You never hear dana upset when chuck (his poster boy and friend) loses. Second, lets say he did hit the back of the head once, and? Kimbo was falling face first from that cross…he was out!!! OK, so if he did, what would happen? a warning and then he’d knock Kimbo out again (now I wish they had warned him)! Lets see it for what it really was…a street brawler who fought nobody yet in his career against an actual mma practitioner for life.

Cans?? Really? Look at the guys Chuck fought during his reign as champ. Full of top ten fighters. Especially at the time he fought them.

unbiased? so guaranteeing lidell a title shot if he would have beat rashad just so he can have his money making fight with lidell vs forrest (teacher vs student) wasnt biased? didnt lidell have a losing record the last few fights to not deserve a title shot even with a win? i dont disagree the $kala B*ll*hit ordeal he did, but saying dana is any different? i beg to differ.

That whole division was made for Chuck only wrestlers that couldn’t take him down with no real striking or not enough punching power..
by RoB on Oct 5, 2008 3:37 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
The reason for that isn’t because it was set up that way for Chuck, wrestlers were just having a lot of success at that time. Tito, Randy, Hughes, etc. Wandy was considered to be the best striker in the division at that time, and I think Chuck did just fine when he fought him.
by naturalshadow on Oct 5, 2008 9:41 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
yea sure that’s true but Dana is the president and if he wanted to he would have promoted a good striker let him get a couple of wins, then challenged Chuck for the title, but Dana constantly set wrestlers up to get the titleshots against Chuck.. Wanderlei is not the best striker today and he had 2 straight losses and had just moved to the US before his fight against Liddell, Rampage on the other hand is a good striker with power and he outclassed Chucky in the standup! Rashad Evans and Jardine also beat him in the standup.. If you’re Dana you want to promote the guy that is best for the company and have him winning!
by RoB on Oct 5, 2008 10:13 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Even with this loss it was a really good card. Some good fights on there. Kimbo will remain a draw though, because people will want to see how he rebounds from this.
They still have Cyborg and Crush fight to set up, which will be a huge draw. Plus some other skilled fighters there. They should definetely do more cross promotions with Affliction though, because that fight made this card much much better.

He was trying to tell the ref that Kimbo got blasted in the back of the head…..which he did, right after the jab stunned him he gets to his hands & knees, Seth then smashed him with a downward forearm to the back of the head, Im a little surprized that the ref or anyone else for that matter did not see that.

like Kimbo did against Tank Abbott, but he straight slugged Tank in the back of the neck and head like 3-4 times…….

Sucks that the freakshow now starts all over again….If Elite makes it another year, they will make sure they can book kimbo to fight keith hackney, maybe butterbean, or another rematch with old, fat ass tank Abbott. they will prolly look for more smaller guys in LH division also
All over again, they will try to fool average fans that Kimbo is some kind of feared fighter. Sure he may be feared by senior citizens around the world, but anyone with striking skills and his age or younger will most likely beat him.
by fightfan on Oct 5, 2008 10:38 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
butterbean would crush kimbo. he has more power and he can take a punch.

Mex, he was just bitching about not wanting the fight to be stopped. Basically he was watching his cash cow reduced to ground beef! He was complaining not to stop the fight because Kimbo was being hit in the back of the head with illegal strikes….just tasteless if you ask me.
Hey Mex, Vatos loco’s forever! lol (blood in blood out) love that movie! THat sh*t is gangsta (in my McLovin voice)

Dude, I told you Ninja was overrated. He couldn’t even beat Radach, a guy not even in the top 10. “Blood In Blood Out” (I can’t ever take anything with Benjamin Bratt in it too seriously) is good, but “American Me” is far better.

I think he was screaming at the ref, do not stop this fight!
by Spider Rulz on Oct 5, 2008 10:47 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Nah, he was yelling at the ref saying kimbo was being hit onthe back of the head. You’ll see him making a gesture towards the back of his own head. Either way, his behavior is completely unacceptable. You would never see Dana White say anything during any fight. EliteXC is done!
by Dayvet on Oct 5, 2008 11:03 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
its not like this was the 1rst time either. $kala was yelling at the ref in the thompson/kimbo fight, for him to stand the fighters up, when thompson was on top of kimbo. what good did it do elite to put gary in the background and put jared in to replace him, when he is just as bad? last night’s show was pretty good imo. if elite xc wants to last, they need to merge permanantly with Affliction and get rid of the shaws. then they might have a chance of lasting.

U kno what pisses me off is that no one said a damn thing when he hit bo cantrell in the back of the head or what about all those shots to the back of tank’s head i think at one time it was like 3-4 unanswered and then tank didn’t even get a chance to recover they restarted it on the feet directly after kimbo got thru throwing his fit bc the ref stopped his illegal strikes on tank

First Ninja is not over rated. Radach hits hard and deserves some credit. I’m not saying Nija is a top 10 but he isn’t a can either.
And the clip is from a Chappelle show episode in season one.

Um, I’m not sure wht the big deal is.
Dana White publicly said that he hoped Machida would beat Tito.
What’s the difference?
by introvert on Oct 5, 2008 12:32 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
That’s a very different situation. It’s well-known that Dana and Tito have disliked each other for years. They had a falling out way back when Dana was Tito’s manager or something.
The big deal is, Jared Shaw shows blatant favortism for a fighter during their fight. That’s a big no-no if you’re the promoter.

the only salvation now for elitexc is a over hyped rematch for kimbo vs. seth. dana white can put the final nail in the coffin by offering seth a fat contract to bring him back to the ufc. by doing this he can show the world that great fighters dont belong in elitexc (even though we all know seth cant hang in the ufc, but could still beat down kimbo)! also it would make $kala offer seth even more money to stay for the overhyped rematch. either way seth gets a retirement fund and elite gets shut down for good. i want to see this happen! btw, i wonder how much seth made for that fight? hmmmmmm…..

1 guy lost, why do people think it’s the end of the company. CBS is probably excited, I doubt they wanted anything to do with Kimbo anyway. Though following that logic they wouldn’t want Tito because he’s married to a better known porn star then Kimbo ever was associated with.
And Kimbo isn’t anymore gone than Chuck after losing to Jardine and Rampage, or Rampage after losing to Forrest and killing a baby.
He will just end up undercard and televised.

I’m excited to watch the next “Inside MMA” to see what Bas says. He admitted in the past that Kimbo wasn’t ready to fight a well rounded guy……especially a guy with 7ko’s out of 10 fights. Way to go Jared; go back to Maroon 5 you douche!!!
