Good point, Shadow! I’ve never understood why they get caught either! They obviously know that if they win, they will be tested. Which means, they end up losing, getting suspended, fined and embarassed! Apparently, sometimes they just don’t cover their tracks weel enough! With that said, I don’t believe Gina is ready for Santos! However, Santos is too agressive at times, and Gina is well composed most of the time! Which means that if Gina focused on utilizing lateral movement, kept her composure and remained technical, she could definitely beat “CHRISTOPHER” Cyborg Santos! I love watching both fighters, but, if anyone messes up Gina’s face, I’m gonna hire Fedor to kick their a@@!!!

Alot of people sell Carano short just because she is hot. Carano’s opponant last night had a FAR better record than the one Cyborg fought and Gina beat the piss out of her all 3 rounds. So both of Elite’s golden fighters will have losses. Cyborg is an impressive fighter, and Gina is impressive as well. i just don’t like how one gets that much more attention than the other. Cyborg is one tuff chick.

None of you can deny this: Gina’s canckles were in full effect last night. It looked like she was wakling on a couple of cardboard cylders.

I was there last night and Cyborg is for real. Gina will get destroyed. The Cyborg fight was the best of the night, everyone was going crazy.

I have as big a “crush” as the next 50 dudes in line on Gina…But gawd….Cyborg will kick her arse, no doubt in my mind about it, as sad as it makes me to say it. Cyborg scares me a little….or maybe a lot.

Chris Cyboy is bigger than Gina, stronger than Gina, and has two more testicles than Gina. However, Gina’s Muay Thai is better than Cyboy’s, and Gina is better on the ground. She (there’s only one she in this comment) is extremely flexible, and can utilize the rubber guard if need be. I’m afraid she’s going to get her pretty face mutilated by Cyboy, but I feel she will win by split decision as two of the judges will vote on looks and one will vote for fear of later getting booty raped in a dark alley by Cyboy.

Gina is the first (and I think still only?) non Thai woman to win a stadium muay thai championship in Thailand…she’s got a 12-1 record, fighting in Thailand…do you really think that Cyborg, who is smaller (tho not by much) than Gina is tougher than one of those Thai manics of Gina’s size? Come on!

When they meet, I’m betting on Gina…and I’m betting on it being a fun-to-watch sluggfest between two of the toughest muay thai chicks in MMA…and even if Cyborg wins, it won’t be the one-sided slaughter that ignorants think it’ll be.

WHAT MAKES YOU THINK GINA CAN’T TAKE A HIT? This pretty girl has been fighting for over five years and that’s just professionally. She has been in the ring with some of the worlds best strikers and yet she not only walked away with a win she walked away with her pretty smile. Gina is built for fighting that is why she still has her pretty looks. Case in point in her last fight versus Kelly Kobold. Gina knees Kelly in the face in the first round busting Kelly open making her bleed and then in the second round Gina herself takes a knee to the face and nothing it didn’t even faze her. Gina can take it and more to the point Gina can give it.

Cris has never faced a fighter such as Gina. Gina however has face many fighter just like Cris. Gina has won all of those fights.

I predict Gina will win this fight when and if it ever happens by a KO or a TKO by the middle of the second round.

Gina’s going to continue to be helped in ducking this fight, which should have happened this past weekend.

Gina Carano is going to win the fight hands down. Cyborg had a very difficult time in the last fight and coulldnt beat her opponet either, and was getting close to knocking her out either. 10 more seconds in Carano’s fight and Kobald was a goner. Wait to watch Carano beat the roids out of her!

first of all Cyborg is very muscular I give her that, but muscles in MMA don’t prove much. Endurance as a fighter to go 3 rounds don’t work in Cyborgs favor. She is so out of breath when the 2 round even begins. Cyborg is ‘JUST’ a walking punching machine.
In the other hand, you have Gina “Conviction” Carano who went down to 140lbs, which was hard for her, regardless she won her last fight. Gina can knock you out with her left hand, right hand, flying kicks, knee kicks (which all land) and make you Tap out! Gina is talented all around and has overcame any obstacle standing in her way. Gina Carano may have not been fighting in MMA for very long as Cyborg, but before MMA she use to fight guys!!!. So go ahead and give her Cyborg, for Gina Carano it will just be another walk in the park.

Well, all I can say is; it’s a fight that I’m achin’ for, and that my intuition tells me absolutely nothin’. I believe that Gina Carano is one sadist hottie with a lot to discuss in the Octagon and that Santos is a macho beast camouflaged as a woman.
I can hardly wait for this event.

After examining what I know of each, and examining their previous fights, here is my assessment:

Striking: Cyborg has more power, but Gina appears to have better technique. After examining their fights (yes, I did look at Cyborg vs. Bayszler, I’d put Gina narrowly over Cyborg in Muay Thai.

Grappling: Cyborg has a purple belt in BJJ, whereas Gina doesn’t have much of a history in grappling. Although she is learning takedown defense, etc. from Couture, and although she did manage to put a rear naked choke onto Evinger, and Kaitlin Young (who managed to last until the bell), she appears to be quite lacking in her Grappling, especially with regards to sweeps. If Cyborg goes for a grappling fight, Gina will find herself tapping out.

Endurance: Cyborg has the advantage here. You can see Gina getting tired in her fights after the first round, whereas cyborg doesn’t appear to tire… Since Gina doesn’t appear to have great knockout power, this can cause Gina major issues.

Verdict: Cyborg wins by TKO in Round 3 after a tired Gina fails fails to prevent Cyborg’s rampage, similar to Bayszler.

I can’t wait! This will be a rockin’ fight, without a doubt. I love Gina but Cyborg is scary strong. She hits as hard as any man of equal size. Gina got better all-around martial arts skills, so either could take the day. When it happens, let them fight 5 × 5 minute/rounds. Just like the men. Any world class fighter can go that distance, male or female. I wonder if they will fight at 150lbs or 145, neither can make 140. Cyborg was over-weight in her fight tonight and Gina has had weight issues as well. Bring then at 150 and get the best out of them both. I think it will be Cyborg by decision after a slug-fest but in my heart, it’s all about Gina. I really do want to see her win the fight, so I hope my prediction is wrong.

Carano can handle her own against Santos. There will be alot of vicious punches, knees and kicks…there is no doubt about that. This won’t be a submission match.
