Last week I made a post about when Antonio Mendes would fight again in the UFC. Well I will now answer my own question. Mendes will be back in action against an undetermined opponent on January 17 in Dublin, Ireland which will probably be UFC 93.

Rumored main events are:
Franklin vs. Liddell or
Hughes vs. Serra

Like I said, these are just rumors at this point but what I do know is Mendes will be back in action on this card

According to Tatame, Mendes’s opponent might be Andre Gusmão.

Hughes probably wont fight till about April or May. He said his knee probably wont be fully healed untill Jan or Feb. Also Franklin/Liddell probably wont happen either. I really hate the Mendes/Gusmao match up.

You mean Mendes, the guy that was getting his face beat in by Thaigo Silva so bad that he tapped? WHo cares about this guy, really. Yeah he got a head kick in on Siva, but then what? Nothing. Don’t let the guys record fool you. He hasn’t beat anyone thats above average or notable. He needs to go back to fighting in KSW or MMA Poland.

u have to admit that fighting a guy like silva

is no easy task.

i felt he did a well enough job to warrant another

fight in the ufc.

he may not be a big name and he is coming off a loss?

but i am still interested to see him fight agian

so i will no for sure

if he should go and fight in poland?

or if he is legit to hang around for a bit.

but i do think he should be on an udercard rather then

on the telivised portion.
