Sengoku 5 results and quick recap

World Victory Road has just completed its fifth installment featuring a middleweight grand prix and a pair of mixed martial arts debuts. Sengoku 5 took place on September 28 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan.
Four-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion Xande Riberio was expected to use his world-class grappling skills to overcome wrestler Takashi Sugiura but instead used a surprisingly effective display of strikes to dispatch his venerable foe.
Not a bad debut for the MMA rookie.
Another first-timer who got people talking was Team Quest product Muhammed Lawal. "Mo" was sharp early on and obliterated the very experienced Travis Wiuff with a brutal ground and pound.
Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos was carried out on a stretcher in his loss to Siyar Bahadurzada, but not because of anything Bahadurzada had to offer. Santos dislocated his elbow while working for position. It was reminiscent of Shogun's kung-fu grip at PRIDE 31.
That victory brings Bahadurzada into the second round of the middleweight grand prix. Joining him are Sasaki, Nakamura and former UFC middleweight Jorge Santiago.
And poor Ryan Shultz just can't seem to catch a break in Sengoku. First he was upset at Sengoku 4 last month when he was Superman-punched of the lightweight grand prix in the first round by underdog Mizuto Hirota and now gets put to sleep with a flying knee by Jorge Masvidal.
Here are the Sengoku 5 complete results:

Wow Cro Cop eating a knee to the groin stopping the fight MIGHT have been slightly controversial, but how was Cyborg’s injury suspicious at all? I mean the guy clearly broke his elbow really bad and you are straight up going to call him a pussy? You are 100% retarded.
