Kimbo Slice vs. Ken Shamrock odds Elite XC

Elite XC: "Heat" is now less than one week aways at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla,which features the main event between Miami-based Internet street brawler Kimbo Slice against UFC Hall of Fame inductee Ken Shamrock.
Sportsbooks have pegged Slice as the solid favorite to win, indicating perhaps that the oddsmakers feel Shamrock -- who hasn't won a meaningful fight in about eight years -- is washed up at 44 years old. That of course could be true or maybe Shammy has one more surprise left in him.
After all this is mixed martial arts where anything can and often does happen.
The sportsbook is always available for those fans who like to make fights nights that much more interesting with a little betting action. Here are the odds:
| Ken Shamrock | +325 | BET NOW |
|---|---|---|
| Kimbo Slice | -450 | BET NOW |
All of the EliteXC odds should be out soon. Of course, we’ll pass them along right here at MMAmania.com when the complete lines become available.
To check out the complete EliteXC fight card click here. And remember that we will provide LIVE blow-by-blow coverage of all the action on fight night, which will be on October 4, beginning at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.

with those odds you really could make some money betting on Ken. I really think that if he takes Kimbo down heh would be easy prey for a leg lock or some other submission. And ken is a leg lock specialist

500 max bet on betus for mma nets 1625, thats to good to pass up. for those of you who don’t understand odds, (don’t let john explain it to you):
if you bet 100 dollars on shamrock and he wins, you get 325 pus your 100 back
-450 means to win 100 you need to bet 450. with the exception of john, no one in their right mind would take this risk for next to no return!

Hey kevin, with odds that lopsided, it makes me wonder if Vegas knows something we don’t. If Ken takes him down, this, to me, is a lock.

I hate to break it to you guys, but kimbo doesn’t hit that hard. Thompson has a glass jaw yet took every punch, on youtube, he was fighting guys like me, never ko’d anyone except for the guy who said he was done and kimbo cheap shotted. he really doesn’t hit that hard….kenny via 1st round submission or decisioon!!!

If this fight goes longer than three minutes it’s going to be the first fight in history to have mid-round oxygen breaks. Neither one of these guys is really built for a long, drawn-out battle.

Agreed, thompson is definitely top 10 glass jaw in MMA. Scary face and big muscle does not mean knowout power. Kimbo just doesn’t have it.

lol, wow, looks like it’s time to put a small bet on ol one punch Shamrock.. Just in case.. I saw an interview that worried me though, inside MMA episode where Ken says he’s gonna “expose” Kimbo, on the ground and in the stand up. Sounds like he’s gone senile again in reference to the stand up. But at those odds, what the hell, i won’t miss $40-$50, as thats about all the faith I got in Shammy at this point.
by O damn he got caught on Sep 28, 2008 10:53 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
You have about $40-50$ more faith in him than I do,lol.

I saw that interview to and thought there was something wrong with Ken, he could not stop moving & twitching and was thinking to myself “the guy looks like he has Parkinsons disease or something, seriously” I think either of these can win the fight but I will lean towards Kimbo, he is bigger and stronger and will probably KO Shamrock. I also agree with the 1st comment, if Ken gets him down and exposes a leg shes all over for Kimbo.

whoever loses to robert “buzz” berry obviously is not gonna catch kimbo in a leglock. he won’t even be able to take kimbo down, ken shamrock has been done for 8 years..

couldnt have said it better myself! kimbo, as much as i dont like him should probably win by ko or tko. shamrocks all done. he hasnt won a significant fight in years!
by allamerican on Sep 28, 2008 11:28 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
dude, bet kimbo. Shamrock can’t win this, and even if he could, i bet hes gonna take a dive. Protected kimbo ftw!
by Brandon on Sep 28, 2008 3:52 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Yep and his record shows it, a long list of T(KOs).

Is it just me or does Ken look exactly like a roided up Al Bundy now?
by Psyqo78®™ on Sep 28, 2008 11:59 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
hahaha!!! i love that show!! he definatly looks like al bundy. maybe he should give sellin shoes a try too cuz his mma career is done!!!
by allamerican on Sep 28, 2008 1:00 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Do you remember when Shamrock scored four touchdowns in one game?
by PW on Sep 28, 2008 1:48 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
OMG damn all American thats fricken funny. heh heh Shammy can sell shoes to fat women. LOL
by dancumbe on Sep 29, 2008 2:18 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
The funniest part about that is Ed O’Neill(guy who played Bundy) has a blackbelt in Jiujitsu under Rorion Gracie and would probably be a better fight for Kimbo than Shamrock.

or…Poke….hmmmm….that fills the rest of my day.
by Amos on Sep 28, 2008 3:22 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
yep, i wouldnt put money on this fixed shit
by keystone on Sep 28, 2008 3:47 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Who needs to fix anything? They want their star Kimbo to win and he will destroy Shammy. Ken has been done for YEARS.
by Gord on Sep 28, 2008 10:14 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
robert berry is a huge guy and had a ton of reach on shamrock, the loss is that shamefull his is 45. Shamrock won early in his career because other than Gracie NO ONE knew submissions. Kimbo is kinda like a guy from the 90’s with no jits so maybe Ken can win.
