these are some good fights but these boys have no cardio/conditioning is lacking…no wonder why ufc hasnt signed tarzan douglas

Taking leg kicks like that from a guy like that takes away your cardio pretty fast.

For some reason channelsurfing wasn’t pulling it up earlier, but I got it on TVU (http://www.tvunetworks.com/) (searched mma, pulled up mmatv which is showing it)
Not a bad show thus far. Obviously not top-tier quality, but I’d say it’s worth watching.

I posted another comment after the Malaipet/Tarzan fight, something along the lines of “there hasn’t been any fights that are quite top tier, but definitely a few good ones tonight” – I’m glad it didn’t post now, because Cullum/Reis was top-tier. I had almost as much fun with that as I did with Maeda/Torres.
Definitely ended the event on a strong point.

Agree, that was a BJJ based fight that delivered in spades, glad I watched it

Anyone else excited about Shane Del Rosario?
This guy was a MT world champion who was approached by the UFC but did not want to give up MT at the time. Has looked better and better everyfight and almost pulled off a triangle choke tonight.

That was a GREAT card. Hopefully people got to see the card. Douglas vs Malapeit, Jara vs Santana, and Reis vs Cullum were AWESOME fights.

I am an obsessed MMA fan who trains at Daddis fight camps in Philly (where Wilson instructs) and upgraded my comcast package to include showtime specifically so that I could watch Wilson and Matt Mkowski’s fights last night. Even though I tried to get out of it, I had to bounce at my bar last night and was forced to DVR the fights. Of course when I got home and watched the Wilson/cullum fight I was privileged to witness only 4 of the greatest rounds of grappling I’ve ever seen instead of the full 5 because my DVR cut out right after the 4rth round, even though I set my DVR to run 20 minutes over the scheduled time as Ive had problems with it cutting out too early in the past. These fights arent yet on demand and they arent scheduled to be replayed at anytime over the next 7 days (yes I gleaned the entire programing schedule for every Showtime for as long as its available).
SOMEONE PLEASE SEND ME A REAL LINK THAT CAN GIVE ME CLOSURE BY LETTING ME SEE THE FINAL ROUND, because Im contemplating running my head through the wall.
Also let me just say, that fight was better than all of Sakuraba grappling wars with the Gracie’s combined, better than any of Big Nog’s incredibly inspirational submission victories, and with out a doubt, one of the best and most prolific displays of submission attempts and escapes that have ever been artfully constructed in the history of no-gi grappling AND I ONLY SAW FOUR %*&#! ROUNDS!!!! My only criticism is that Wilson should have thrown strikes to set up his passes and sub attempts, and also tried to do more damage with his strikes from the dominant positions he skillfully obtained. I guess Cullum’s incredible guard and the difference in height made that difficult. But hey, it’s easy for me to say that while sitting on my ass and watching the fight on TV.

i was fortunate enough to get 6 months of showtime free recently and thought the whole event was very entertaining. all fast paced fights (even the hws) and not alot of crap in-between. this was much better than that strikeforce crap that i sat through last week. showtime has been showing reruns all of elite’s prior shows and strikeforce all this week. id have to say i like this shoex better than the regular shows. all these guys are young diamonds in the rough, and who knows, some of them could end up in the ufc or wec someday.

i got showtime for free but i had to miss the the fights all after jara which was a good fight specially for old guys, just wanted to let you know that showtime plays an elite event at some point during the night every night from what i’ve seen

yeah, it looks like they are trying to build up to the oct.4 card, although they probably shouldnt show the kimbo/cantrell fight. it’s still painfully obvious that he took a dive (wether he was paid or afraid, he wasnt hurt).

Yeah, showtime tends to stack all of their previous shows with Elite/Strikeforce up everynight for a week or two leading up to their previous CBS shows. No complaints here.
