CB Dolloway vs. Jorge Rivera? UFC 92???

by john on Sep 16, 2008 5:53 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I cant stand CB and dont care much for Rivera, SOoooo!!! Whats the big news you had? I made it threw hurricane Ike, and want some good news! Right now the only good news there is, is UFN and the start of the Ultimate Fighter.

by JV on Sep 16, 2008 6:03 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

JV, you were dealing with IKE? fill me in dude. i have lots of family down in corpus christi and my dad drove halfway there (were in salt lake city) to grab some of them because they couldnt get any gas. we got off lucky though! mad love to all the families who arent getting off so easy.

Im in Houston and it got bad Saturday night! Theres still alot of people without light service. I got lucky on my house and power came back Sunday afternoon. But my neighbors had alot of damage, roof, carports and wood fences. My house didnt even get scrached. How was it in Corpus Christi?

by JV on Sep 16, 2008 10:12 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I wish your neighbors well. Cann’t wait till fight night. Go Ed, Mac and Nate.

by iagoof22 on Sep 16, 2008 10:50 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

thats a big jump up for CB, going from fighting a bunch of amatuers to a veteran… I think he definitely has a chance but hes gonna need to train his stand up to set up take downs and exploit jorges weak ground game

by brendan on Sep 17, 2008 12:22 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

its still in the rumor stages, so don’t hold me to it!
Aoki has also been added to DREAM 6

by john on Sep 17, 2008 7:29 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Jorge is a journeyman. If CB can’t get passed Rivera, then he has ZERO future in the UFC.

I have 185 on my pc

No problem, Mania.

You shouldn’t apologize.

I don’t apologize for my fat dick. :)

If I saw Nick Diaz in the streets (not knowing who he was), I would have no doubt in my mind that I would kick the crap out of him, especially with that lisp.

I hope something that unfortunate never occurs, you just never know these days. I would get my ass handed to me.

by Kimura by Fedor on Sep 16, 2008 8:06 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I also was thinking that he looks like such a skinny kid. I may have 50 pounds on him, but I don’t have any doubt that he’d clean the floor with me. (Note to self: start training)

by BobC on Sep 17, 2008 9:50 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

ya, why did they give herman 10 Lbs?

by The Hurricane on Sep 16, 2008 5:39 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

sakara is a big 185er, he looks like a dried up raisin! and he looks real tired too, shows that he had to cut alot of weight… i hope he takes this one!

by brendan on Sep 16, 2008 9:51 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

For his ego maybe?

by chefdaddy on Sep 17, 2008 9:59 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

haha i was gonna say… that seems to be surprise worthy…… i’m guessing it was a typo

by san shouer on Sep 16, 2008 5:39 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

i’m going to assume the herman weight is a typo.

by kitsunex on Sep 16, 2008 5:39 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Geez!! one little typo and they’re all over you mania!

by blackBEERd on Sep 16, 2008 5:58 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Really very hard to be under the scrutinizing eyes of an mmamaniac!

Maybe a trip to the Dentist will help Nate talk a little more clearly. He is such a sthmoov cwiminal.
Stating the obvious, each one of these fighters will try to get the other to fight his fight.
Nate’s standup looked pretty lame against Batman. If it stays standing, Neer has a puncher’s chance. (all digits crossed!)
Neer doesn’t stand a chance on the ground, even on top. If it goes to the ground…Instant Submission

by Toad on Sep 16, 2008 6:54 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

wow. every body made weight perfectly. no 156s 186s. no 155.5s no 170.5s etc.

by teddy on Sep 16, 2008 6:55 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

yeah thats nice to see

by medecine balls on Sep 16, 2008 7:12 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

No. The commission likely set the weight at each limit and if the balance didn’t move up they prob. just recorded him on weight. It just means no fighters were over. For example, we know that Alexander weighed about 202 pounds before he stepped on the scales.

by MMAmania on Sep 16, 2008 7:54 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

ohhh i see, thanks mania. i didnt know they did that

by medecine balls on Sep 16, 2008 7:57 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Minnesota did it, too — St. Pierre was well under 170. Not sure if it’s because they are newbs or what, but I guess each does it their own way.

by MMAmania on Sep 16, 2008 7:58 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Do the NSAC and CSAC do this too?

by medecine balls on Sep 16, 2008 8:08 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

No

by MMAmania on Sep 16, 2008 11:02 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I had no idea that GSP came into the Fitch fight way under 170. Interesting! I wish they wouldnt do this and instead list the actual numbers

by john on Sep 17, 2008 8:38 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

how much is way under?

by Ro-J on Sep 17, 2008 8:52 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, I was going to say I’ve never seen Houston weigh more than 203. Can you imagine him at MW?

by UFCAddict on Sep 16, 2008 10:32 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Interesting idea. I hope he does better tonight, but he’s just got to work on his flexibility and ground game. When he stands in the ring, I always notice his lack of shoulder and core mobility—in the context of the UFC, he exemplifies muscle-bound.

by BobC on Sep 17, 2008 9:53 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

What professionals.

by Macho Bullshit on Sep 16, 2008 7:36 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

like just said, its impressive to see 20 fighters exactly on weight. thats how it should be every card… gotta love ufc fight nights, never the best cards but always the cheapest! im real excited to see jason brilz in the UFC, hes a diamond in the rough but theres an assload of potential there.

by medecine balls on Sep 16, 2008 7:51 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

not only are they the cheapest but many time they end up having the most exciting fights.

by matt on Sep 16, 2008 8:45 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Nate looks big next to Neer.

by Ixian on Sep 16, 2008 8:57 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Nate Diaz is going to choke Neer out just like he does everyone else he fights. I love the Diaz bro’s. Nicks fights are always exciting or contovesial and Nate is a submission maniac. Come on Nate anyone with there name tattoo’d on them needs to be beat down.

Yeah, I actually beat the guy that did Josh’s “Neer” tattoo in an amateur fight.

…Josh is gonna man-handle Nate. No disrespect to the Gracies, but he’s got his hands full with Neer. Good luck Josh, see ya tomorrow.
