I’m looking forward to this free event. The fight nights are always pretty good. The only thing that would be great, if they got like 3 main sponsors to buy all the commercial time, and just promote them like a ppv. “bud light time clock” or “harly davidson ref check stop” etc. The commercials really kill the flow of the event. If ford can sponsor nbc to show a movie in it’s entirety, someone like stinky could probably afford to buy two hours of ads on spike!

match making and which fights are being aired could be better. All in all, they are always solid events

Anybody know how Neer’s stand up looks like?
What are his best chances of beating Nate?
I know he survived Guillard’s onslaught and got him in a sub. But that was ages ago…

neer is actually one of the only Miletich fighters that I have ever liked, but I think Nate is on another level. Nate reminds me of a lightweight Big Nog….He’s going to catch you, its just a matter of when?
If Nate and Mac win next wednesday, I would like to see them face off as the main event for theh December UFN show on the army base

JOHN. sounds like a good idea. i was thinking fitch and gono would make agood main for that event as well. they were supposed to fight before and thats still a match-up that i wanna see.

oh man, that would be a really good main event for the December fight night!

I would love to see gOno against anyone BW, but he is fighting Dan Hardy in Englan in october so I doubt he will be ready for Fitch by december 10th

He is always a di*k, that is why I generally don’t respond to his posts. But, yeah great idea Kevin, I’m sure no one that works for UFC has ever thought of it.

Should be a good fight. But Diaz needs to watch out for his normal strategy of taking punishment while looking for the submission or his face might get rearranged! Still, Looking for Diaz to take this one.

i like diaz more than i like neer, but i cant count out neer. alot of people were picking din thomas to steamroll him, and neer dominated him the whole fight. i think nate can submit him, but its either nate winning by submission, or josh gettin a decision (much like against joe daddy)

Is this the first opponent that both DIaz bros have fought?
by DirtyML on Sep 12, 2008 11:19 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
No, I know they both fought Oishi but i’m not sure if there have been any others.

This will be my first live UFC event and I can’t wait! I don’t think it’s as solid as a card from a big name standpoint, but I think their will be some solid fights. I’ve seen a few people complain that Houston Alexander is on the main card, but what do you expect, it’s his home town. He’s got a boatload of pressure on him so I hope he puts on a good show.
Sidenote, does anyone know what the normal attendance is for a Fight Night event? The arena where this is held seats around 9500.

I hope alexander get ko’d again. I just don’t like his attitude. yes, he’s a great guy and single dad, so is chef daddy, but at least chef seems humble and coherent when he speaks!

Schafer is a black belt now…if that matters

I don’t mind Houston’s schtick. I chalk it up to the fact that he knows he is an (exciting) one-trick pony so he needs to ‘WWE’ his performances. He acts more like a clown than a disrespectful fool.

I don’t think he means to be a dick. From what I’ve heard from people who know him is that he really is a nice guy. I just think he just gets caught up in the moment and it takes him a while to calm back down. He just needs to own-up to getting KO’d though. Everyone else saw it, so don’t act like it didn’t happen.
The other thing I don’t like is the whole “Nebraska is in the building” schtick. Honestly, the only people who give a shit are die-hard Husker fans. No one else cares and it makes you look stupid.

I got Neer on this one. Dude can take some punishment. I feel that he will come into this fight with some fire for sure, he doesnt want to lose to both bros. I also, cant help but remember that submission win over Melvin. Plus, I dont feel that Nate is any where close to the skill that Nick is at.

I’m most excited for Alexander. This will be the point where we see if he is capable of evolving or if he will fade into obscurity.
