Seth Petruzelli vs Aaron Rosa Elite XC fight scheduled for October 4

A light heavyweight bout between former Team Punishment member Aaron Rosa (11-2) and "Ultimate Fighter 2" alum Seth Petruzelli (9-4) has been added to the undercard of Elite XC's "Saturday Night Fights" on CBS event at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise, Fla., on October 4.
Rosa won the first 10 fights of his career, competing mostly under the Renegade Extreme Fighting banner. His strong resume earned him a contract with Pro Elite and a slot on the Sho XC Challenger Series 1 card against Jefferson Silva in July of 2007.
He made quick work of Silva, dispatching him with a first round technical knockout. Company officials were again impressed and opted to match Rosa against fellow undefeated fighter Jared Hamman three months later at Sho XC Challenger Series 3.
This time, however, Rosa lost to a better prepared Hamman, suffering the first loss of his career in a second round submission loss. To make matters worse, he lost a lackluster decision to Jaime Fletcher at Sho XC 5 six months later.
That was his last fight for Pro Elite. He has fought one time since then, beating Ron Fields by second round technical knockout at Adrenaline MMA 1.
Most of us remember his opponent, Seth Petruzelli, from his stint on "The Ultimate Fighter 2." He made it all the way to the semifinals before losing a razor close split decision to eventual runner-up Brad Imes.
He's only lost twice since November of 2001 and both losses were in the UFC Octagon against Matt Hamill and Wilson Gouveia, respectively.
This should be a decent scrap. Both guys are experienced and know what's going on inside the cage. Of course, there is also definite potential for this to turn into a boring hug fest, but if these guys come to fight the fans in Sunrise could be in for a treat.

I was a fan of Petruzelli immediately on TUF 2. I was hoping he’d do well but things obviously didnt work out in the ufc. Don’t know to much about Rosa, hope Seth can win this one.

I was always a fan of the silverback as well.
At this point my dREAM scenario is that EliteXC continues to struggle financialy and Affliction buys them out. Combine both organizations stable of fighters and you get some decent match ups. Too bad it isnt going to happen cause at this point I doubt Affliction could purchase another company. THats why I called it a “dREAM” scenario

Haven’t had much free time at work the last couple of days, but I did notice that BetUS got the odds up for the WEC event that should have happened this past wednesday…
The Cowboy, Donald Cerrone is a slight favorite over the former champ, Razor Rob.

It was a 1/2 hour special that gave interviews with Mir and Nog about the upcoming season and mostly their thoughts on each other and thier upcoming fight. It was like a super early countdown show. It actually got me excited about their fight and the new season of TUF. Check it out. I am sure they will replay it before next week.

I know that tonight they are showing the finale of last season’s TUF. I believe the main event was:
Luigi vs. Diego and thats a fight I want to watch again to analyze the new and improved Diego now that he is about a month away from fighting my boy Alves.
Didnt Evan Tanner fight Kendall grove that night as well?

Jeremy May is a horrible person.
I don’t say that about many people, but when you go out of your way to make other people’s lives worse for no reason other than personal gain, you are horrible.

Jeremy May is a piece of dung… A few guys writing on the site said they knew him personally and he was an asshole. Jeremy even tried to plead his case that Spike just showed the worst of him and spliced it together… He said some really rude sexual stuff about his girlfriend on national tv… he admitted he intentionally lied about his injury to get out of training,,, just a jerk all the way around… I don’t know if he was the worst of the TUF contestants but he’s definitely in the top 5.
Damn we should have a Top 10 TUF Jerk Off’s poll… lol.
