I’ve been hearing a rumor that this fight was supposed to occur but Guida broke his foot while training :( and in doing so he broke my heart, now no Nate vs. Clay till ‘09. At least that’s what being said

Is Kevin Burns the fighter that caught Anthony Johnson in the eye. AJ had surgery after that fight. It was a good fight. To bad stopped from accidental eye gouge.

Yes it is a rematch…should’ve been a NC first time around.

Agreed. That was a ridiculous call to have Burns win. Quite simply, the rules say that eye gouges are illegal. How can you win that way?

mazzagatti thought johnson went down to a punch. he wasn’t aware of the accidental eye poke until well after the fight was over. A ref cannot overturn his decision and the athletic commission turned down johnson’s appeal to have it overturned.

and I always thought this fight took place in Cali, ’cuz only the CSAC made such stupid decisions. Right?

He just signed an extension with the UFC. Good try though

so? plenty of fighters have been contracted for a number of fights and been cut before they finished them all
i’m pretty sure the ufc reserves the right to cut anyone at any time regardless of extensions or contracted fights
