That hurricane that hit Florida, which I never thought would effect me, has actually really bothered me. The WEC event that was supposed to take place THIS WEDNESDAY has been pushed back until NOVEMBER. That is SUCH a LONG way off. THe fighters were all getting and are prepared to fight this week. Why not a change of venues and have them fight in 2 weeks? That is enough time to sell tickets and refund the Floridians.

We only get like 4 WEC events a year, so pushing one back 2 months is a big deal.

VM. VS has made a deal with th wec to show 8 live events in 09, so things are looking up. i would like to see the sonnen/fihlo moved to the ufc to the oct event since the wec is dropping thier lhw and the mw class and losing the silva/machida fight. sonnen/fhilo would help out with that absence, if the ufc cant find a replacement for t.silva. easier said than done with machida though.

That’s a really good idea actually. They can still bill it as a title fight too and get a 5 rounder out of it. Like ViolentMike though, I had tickets for the Sept. 10 show and it would suck if they changed the card up on us.

Woohoo, can’t wait to party with Jensen and Brilz (with a high degree of sarcasm)…I’ll pass. I really wish they would have filled the card with with non-local talent. I can and have seen them fight locally many times, what’s the exitement in that?

There won’t be too much time for after-partying. Our lame ass bars close at 1:00.

“This is the year of the W” – Clay Guida. I tend to agree.
