by LJ on Aug 28, 2008 5:09 PM EDT up reply actions

Yes and Yes.

by MMAmania on Aug 28, 2008 5:13 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeh, Glover is a great fighter. he has good BJJ (hes a black belt) and now hes been training with hackleman he can throw some bombs. the only reason he hasnt been in the UFC is because of visa problems. WAR glover

by GNP on Aug 28, 2008 5:14 PM EDT up reply actions

How does someone who trains at the pit have visa problems?

by texuspete00 on Aug 28, 2008 10:00 PM EDT up reply actions

he came over from brazil on a short term working visa, then decided to stay. however his visa only aloud him to fight in california, so getting a 3 fight contract with the ufc was never an option. instead he has had a fight in the WEC and then Palace fighting championship.

Look it up on your daily motion of web video.

by ARodOfIron on Aug 28, 2008 11:28 PM EDT up reply actions

There were rumors that he was going to be on this season of TUF. (Before the names were officially announced) I guess he gets to skip that whole process. Good for him. And yes, he was the one who knocked Soko out.

by R-Dizzle on Aug 28, 2008 5:20 PM EDT reply actions

yup..thats Chucks boy…and he is pretty damn good!!!!

by tex mex on Aug 28, 2008 5:28 PM EDT reply actions

yeah he had that 8 second KO (or however many seconds) over that dude on tapout. that was a hell of punch, dont even think i could hit like that with an aluminum bat

by medecine balls on Aug 28, 2008 5:51 PM EDT reply actions

I saw this guy on the Tapout show really impressed.

by HitmanBert on Aug 28, 2008 7:00 PM EDT reply actions

If Soko loses to Cane (which I think he will) then they should have a rematch between Sokoudjou and Teixeira.

by DB on Aug 28, 2008 7:30 PM EDT reply actions

Absolutely i agree! Luiz Cane has impressed me with his striking so i think he will beat Soko

by RoB on Aug 28, 2008 7:38 PM EDT up reply actions

It’s not Cane’s striking that’s going to lead him to victory. That being said, I think i read somewhere that Arona and lil’ nog have decent ground skills…

Is this cat a light heavy weight?

by gnanner1 on Aug 28, 2008 8:50 PM EDT reply actions

Yes he fights at LHW. I trained under Glover at the Pit. His ground game is SICK. He is a true BJJ black belt with unbelievable poise and power. He WILL be a force in the UFC. WAR Glover.

by PBL on Aug 28, 2008 11:20 PM EDT up reply actions

Hell yeah!!!!

by medecine balls on Aug 29, 2008 12:18 AM EDT up reply actions

I must be confused cause I remember Liddell had a buddy on tapout show who fought on WEC card who was his “house bitch” or something but he was only 145 pounds.

Liddell must have lots of buddies that are fighters.

by DirtyML on Aug 28, 2008 11:06 PM EDT reply actions

this guy Glover is a badass…he throws bombs and trains with Liddell at the Pit. Cant wait for him to fight in the UFC LHW division. I wonder if he will stay LHW or move down to MW…I cant remember if he was exceptionally large LHW, but I dont think he was.

Glover ‘Iron’ Teixeira went to Minotauro Team Academy and trained Boxing and Muay Thai with Junior dos Santos(Werdum’s opponent in UFC 90) and Lil’ Nog.
