This was by far the best event the UFC held all year.(hands down)….Every fight on the main card was awesome…
BJ totally demolishing Sherk, the return of the “axe murderer” Tito’s long awaited exit from the UFC, and two impressive new-comer’s in Mendes and Reljic = Great night!!
I really look forward to Mendes and Reljic’s next fights..

Amazing event! i agree that Mendes and Reljic are two great additions to the sport and I too look forward to watching them compete again. The only problam is that Reljic is oving down in weight to fight my Boy tHales. THis fight scares the crap out of me. Goran is GAME and should be a HUGE middleweight. Also, tHales has NEVER faced a South Paw. Reljic will be his 1st and that scares the crap out of me.
I have known who Melendes was for a while now. Great Addition to trhe UFC. THe kid impressed me ever since I watched him beat baby Fedor, Kiril. Cant wait to find out who Mendes’s next opponent will be!

john, I would be worried too if I were Thales..Reljic has some nasty kicks, thanks to his buddy Mirko. His kick are already fast, and dropping down will increase his speed alot….If he can get with a proper nutritionest and weight and strenghining coach, he will be a definite threat to any top MW…He seems like a very composed fighter..I would like to see him fight Bisping..Two skilled strikers going at it, with their new found speed from dropping to MW from HW??

Bisping vs. Goran would be bad ass!
U hit the nail right on the head stagger! hIS composure IS WHAT WAS MOST IMPRESSIVE! Thisd kid is going to be a PROBLEM at middleweight!
I hope he can get on a 3-4 fight win streak because I wouldnt mind seeing him face the Spider. THey are both Tall, long and Lanky strikers and I would love to se ethat match up down the line. Goran has to earn the right to face Silva….Hopefully sometime next year it iwll happen!

Is this because piracy is so rife in the Bronx, just like it is here in Manila?

I FINALLY shook BJ Penn’s hand tonight!! I met him backstage at the Steel Pulse and Sean Kingston concert on Oahu. He’s really down to earth, and I had the chance to talk to him for about 2 minutes. Haha I was so nervous that I couldn’t think clearly. I wanted to leave a comment on here sooner, but I can’t access mmamania.com properly on my cell. I felt like an MMA Groupie meeting my idol.. WOW

I ain’t gonna lie mang.. BJ Penn’s my idol. I can’t even sit down during his matches.. I walk back and forth around the bar when he fights. I don’t know if any of you get that feeling when your favorite fighter fights. Whenever I see the lights go dim, and I hear the Hawaii 78/E Ala E, I feel a sense of euphoria…… And it’s great :)

This was an awesome event. This one is my favorite so far this year mainly because I was there and it was the one I attended.

Your lucky mang.. I’m still waiting to attend my first UFC event.

This fight had three main events- Penn/Sherk, Silva/Jardine and Ortiz/Machida. The undercards were great- they all ended in submission or knockout-thats why they were all televised on the ppv. BTW, I got meet Wandelei Silva at a local fight and he was very cool.
