Bisping moving down was a great move. He’ll be a lot better off.

he was scared cause there would have been no way! he could of beat shogun, liddell, w. silva, rampage, griffin, EVEN a rematch with Hamill…
Leben is going to expose him and Bisping is gonna get knocked out!

by mikeybear on Aug 23, 2008 12:51 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

No chance Bisping gets knocked out here. I love both of these guys and can’t understand how some ppl hate on either one of em but Bisping is just too well rounded and too smooth

Fight Analysis:

See Kenny Florian V Roger Huerta

by crowls on Aug 23, 2008 1:10 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I really hope hope this fight isn’t comparable to the Florian vs Huerta fight

There’s still a chance. It’s what you call a “puncher’s chance”, hehe!!

Bisping is faster than leben

by braveheart on Aug 24, 2008 6:23 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

so was sakara and he was a better boxer, he still got ko’d.

by ruan-fiy on Aug 24, 2008 11:58 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I’m sure he’ll be well prepared, he’s not a dumb fighter. Both Leben and Bisping have a lot to prove in this one and it will be a big test. That said, I hope leben knocks him out. Man, I don’t dislike the count anywhere NEAR as much as some of his fans comments. I dislike the way that the guy was a mediocre (at best) LHW, dropped a few pounds and people think he’s Jesus’s second coming. I need Leben to shut some people up.

Agreed.

Bisping is stronger than leben

by braveheart on Aug 24, 2008 6:24 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i think it’s going to be a very good fight… the problem for Leben is where does he go if he wins? Anderson destroyed him… he may have to do a Franklin?

by Robert on Aug 23, 2008 4:39 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Time for a RUDE AWAKENING!!! Bisping is going to pick Leben apart!

by john on Aug 23, 2008 6:13 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

With what though john, a jab? I guess he could out point leben, but that’s about it. He could do what he did against Hammill and jab and run, jab and run. But he’ll look like he’s scared to bang. IS he more technical? Yeah. But he just doesn’t have any KO power, not that’s been tested against anyone worth anything yet. To lose a fight by getting jabbed, would be like getting pecked to death by chickens, only far less exciting.

by chefdaddy on Aug 23, 2008 6:56 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

That is a good point. I’m a big fan of Leben, just always seems to have interesting/exciting fights. But IMO, he’ll never hold a belt. Not in the UFC anyways. But if he wins, maybe it could be Franklin down the line (unless he stays at 205). He’ll be an exciting gatekeeper to the upper echelon of the division, but that’s probably it.

by chefdaddy on Aug 23, 2008 11:19 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

We need Leben to KTFO of Bisping, and to STHU[shut the hell up] some peepz.

Bisping is more well rounded than leben

by braveheart on Aug 24, 2008 6:24 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

ive got absolutely no doubt that bisping will win this fight.as much as i like lebens personality hes really just a brawler with a great left hook a good chin and an average ground game.whether bisping finishes him remains to be seen but it will be a wide ud bispings got a crisp jab and 1-2 and although it lacks real power it will be enough to discourage leben and he will start getting reckless.it could even be a sub win by choke.

by SCOTT on Aug 23, 2008 12:19 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I hate the fact that Bisping is looking a lot better at 185. Really would like to see Leben KO him though. Give him a nice dazed look in his eyes while he lays on his back lol.

by Toms Bombs on Aug 23, 2008 12:23 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

This is what we Leben fans want to see…

by TheNegation on Aug 23, 2008 8:49 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Fingers crossed Bisping is speaking the truth, he has always had good conditioning and this fight is going 15 mins. Leben is a serious tough guy, Bisping is a more rounded fighter but he needs to stay away from Lebens bombs. UD Bisping IF he can get out of the first round without getting tagged.

by UKmmaBOY on Aug 23, 2008 12:32 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

i can see bisping keep using his jabs because he won’t get in to a brawl with leben, lebens best chance is to back bisping to the cage and brawl with him, like he did to alexio sakara(mispelled name i know) and know him out.. other than that bisping is too quick for him…. but if bisping wins will they take on next it won’t be Silva anytime soon probebly okanami??

by Ricky on Aug 23, 2008 12:38 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

ricky dont be surprised if bisping fights silva in the first british show next year.theyve talked about it already and i know silva wants to fight in britain again.now im not saying he deserves it but that doesnt count in the ufc anymore and it will sell big.i think the winner of hendo/palhares will fight the winner of marquadt/kampmann so that decides the next mw title challenger.i know that puts okami on the backburner but these fights sell better and are more fan freindly.

Bisping v Silva my dream fight! you know its going to happen and Bisping will win! little by little the Bisping haters give him more credit its so funny as the said he has zero/average talent but now he is in his correct weight class he looks as good as any other contenders.

by Tony on Aug 23, 2008 1:10 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

LOL. Tony, you are the King of All Nuthuggers when it comes to Bisping. Are you his little sister?

No there domestic partners.

by DBG on Aug 24, 2008 11:17 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

please explain to me in what area Bisping can get silva?? speed-no.. strength- DEFINATLY NOT- striking-not even close- ground game- umm again no-.. if dan henderson couldn’t beat him, and rich couldn’t outstrike him.. trust me bro bisping can’t touch him.

by Ricky on Aug 23, 2008 6:24 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

This should still be a pretty entertaining stand up fight. I think Bisping will use his speed and reach to pick Leben apart. I am hoping Leben tags him with a couple to see if he can take a real punch. Day, Rashad, Mcarthy, and Hamill don’t really count as “great” strikers… it’s pretty unbelievable how heavy Lebens hands are. Will be interesting to see if Bisping tries to take him down. I can also see Bisping getting to comfortable for this fight. He just came of 2 wins against average guys who didn’t stand a chance. Lebens one chance of knocking him out is a hundred times better than Day or Mcarthy ever beating him. None the less, if he doesn’t screw up he’ll win by whatever way he wants.

by ArlovskiRush on Aug 23, 2008 7:23 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

keep dreaming. silva is on another level. bisping will get destroyed mid 2nd my guess.

hahahaha! Evans and Hamill are having good fights at the next UFC considering the bums? Bisping hasnt fought anyone you lot say? well how have Evans managed to get Chuck? and how has Hamill managed to get Franklin? also you are looking at the Silva Bisping fight on paper! Its a fight anything can happen.

by Tony on Aug 23, 2008 9:18 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Bisbing maybe has a slight edge in this fight, but there’s no telling what will happen. Bisbing is definatley quicker and probibly has the better wrestling. Leben has the better ground game and knock out power. Leben has a great chin, but Bisbing’s hasn’t really been tested. Thsi fight is really peaking my interest beceause Bisbing hasn’t fought a striker in the UFC. He fought Haynes who’s not really good at anything, Schafer who’s a jits guy, Sinosic who’s a submission fighter, Hamill who’s a wrestler, Rashad who’s a wrestler, McCarty who’s a BJJ guy, and Day who maybe you could consider a striker, but is more of an all around guy. That’s what makes this one so tough to call. It’s really the first time Bisbing has fought a striker and we don’t know what he will do againster another stand up fighter.

This fight could be really exciting or really boring but people hyping bisping should remember that leben decision’d cote….

by Colin D on Aug 24, 2008 5:02 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Colin – I know and i say Bisping beats Cote in 1 round! Cote is average he is one of the most over rated fighters in the UFC.He doesnt have super ko power its a myth.

Like my name suggests I’m confused.

Ive checked every Bookmakers I can find and Bisping is the clear favourite, where I’m from bookies aren’t in the bussiness of giving away money, so either the bookies are stupid and they are going to lose alot of money (unlikely) or the guy’s hating on bisping are just twisted and bitter and need to move on…..

as for the bums bisping has fought in the MW division, at the time of the fights the same people calling them bums were saying that they were going to destroy bisping exposing him as the fraud he is, Didn’t bisping stop both in the first round?

And if he doesn’t have power why were they unable to continue after just one round?.

Seems to me like some people cant connect thier brains to thier mouths when it comes to bisping.
I’d like to be helpfull though so feel free to use this as a template for bispings future fights, that way you wont have to think at all :

" is going to KTFO bisping, WAR , Bisping has only beaten bums he’s a FRAUD"

by Confused on Aug 24, 2008 10:49 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Bottom line is Mcarthy and Day are bumbs. Only and idiot would have thought those 2 had a chance. This is his 1st true test at MW. He hasn’t even beat a top 10 fighter in MW…tell me why he deserves such a high praise? He lost to Rashad…pretty much lost to Hammil…beat a TUF bumb…beat Day(who may not even be ranked top 50 in the world). Tell me why he deserves a fight against the champ?

by ArlovskiRush on Aug 25, 2008 12:08 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Who said anything about a title shot? if bisping can beat 2 of the three leading contenders in the MW division he becomes the number 1 contender thats how it works. I think these fights will happen quickly, journeymen in the MW division just cant hang with bisping (I include leben in that) The UFC is going to have to put him in against someone the fans cant say is finished or a bum. I dont think Bisping can beat Silva but I dont think Bisping has anything to fear from any other middleweight. I’m dissapointed in the whole match up…..its going to be over quickly, it will not be a 3 round war. I want to see Bisping tested aswell but Lebben isn’t going to test him and I think deep down everybody knows that. if Hamil who is 40-50 pounds heavier than Leben cant drop bisping Leben cant drop him…..its all hype for the fight.

I’ll be impressed once he fights Hendo, he doesn’t need to win that fight he just has to hang with him.

by Confused on Aug 27, 2008 5:54 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

i hope leben exposes this goof for that hack that he is

by dibby on Aug 24, 2008 11:10 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

IF Bisping hits harder then sakara he will KO/tko Leben in the first round. If he does not hit harder then sakara then he still has more skill then sakara and can use those knees to ko/tko Leben. In short Leben just has a punchers chance thats it.
