I’m itching to bet on Herring…. Brock is soooooo raw and green going up against guy who almost beat the current champ….any one have any thoughts?

by Robert on Aug 9, 2008 11:34 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

hes a good bet at those odds i’d say he probably will lose but you never know with heath and brocks inexperience

by randy murders on Aug 9, 2008 12:15 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

me two i think herring will pull it off, but never the less if brock goes in their and try’s to run through him he’ll get careless and get caught with something… Dont’ forget herring has faced Fedor, and cro cop…. both to which he lost but atleast he fought them and put on a show.. and i dont’ see broke being more dominate than those two..

by Ricky on Aug 9, 2008 12:34 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

you got my blessing on herring. as an UNDERDOG veteran. +190. Only reason to chose Brock is for TD/Strength/Wrestling but if you look at the size comparison, he’s not even that much bigger. Not Herring’s first rodeo.
Herring Brock @ weighin

by b.w. on Aug 9, 2008 12:32 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I heard he had pneumonia the other day, but they said he was ok. That really sucks. Way too young to go…

by BNF on Aug 9, 2008 12:49 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

agreed.

I hate betus. I made half an account a few months ago (didn’t sort out the money aspect of it). I was about to sort out the money aspect of it till they started calling me like 10 times a day for 3 months straight, they’ve finally stopped now. I didn’t even know it was them for a while because it came up as “unknown caller” so i didn’t bother answerering for a while and then when i finally did it was betus. Lol you think im going to give all my detials down the phone to someone i don’t know ha, no thanks. And since you kept pestering me then im not even gonna use your site, if they would of left me to do things myself they would of had another customer. Oh and for future reference betus you came on a little to strong.

Is anyone else pissed that Manny Gamburen is on the main card, and Cheick Congo isn’t???? I really don’t like Gamburen since his last stunt where shock hands and kicked the guy right away thats a pure bitch move

by Ricky on Aug 9, 2008 12:40 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

yes i am as well. two big explosive hws should be on before 2 tuf scrubs. hopefully there will be some quick finishes(i dont see brock/heath going the distance) and they will air evenson/kongo.

by b.w. on Aug 9, 2008 1:49 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

before either of those i would like to see the cummo, barncat fight. war cummo! luke looked like he might be thinking about moving to lw weighing in at only 167. he would probably be more consistant and stronger at 155.

by b.w. on Aug 9, 2008 2:16 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

The battle of the nerds, as Rogan called it, that fight is going to be waaaaaay better than Manny/Emerson.

by BNF on Aug 9, 2008 2:22 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

When Luke Cummo came out I thought it was Rivers Cuomo from “Weezer”

by the_mexicutioner on Aug 9, 2008 3:00 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

lol!

by b.w. on Aug 9, 2008 3:31 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

War Barncat… MEOWWW! J/K, yeah I definitely think Cummo was making a statement to Joe Silva by weighing in with his warmups on at 167. He wants to take a stab at LW.

by UFCAddict on Aug 9, 2008 3:00 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Jason MacDonald might be a good play. Maia will most likely take this fight, but MacDonald is a big tough fighter and has a lot of experiance. Don’t be too surprised if he pulls off the upset and he’s probibly worth a small bet.

by DB on Aug 9, 2008 12:41 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Yeah, I was surprised how much Maia was favored. McD has more ways to win, and is much bigger. Still, Maia’s BJJ is unbelievable.

by UFCAddict on Aug 9, 2008 3:02 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Isn’t Emerson the guy who quit the TUF show? I didn’t think he would ever be in the UFC after that.

by Gary on Aug 9, 2008 1:01 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

No, wrong guy. I think Emerson got beat, then steped in again to fight when someone got injured, and lost again. Emerson is Dana’s sort a guy that will fight anyone anytime (but probably lose)

by MoonUK on Aug 9, 2008 1:52 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

no emerson never quit. you might be thinking of joe scarola, serra’s friend or noah whathis name, but not rob.

by b.w. on Aug 9, 2008 1:52 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

What ever happened to that guy, Jackson, or something. He got kicked off the show for jumping the fence to hook up with some chicks. I heard he got arrested for attempting to rape some girls at gunpoint.

by BNF on Aug 9, 2008 1:56 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

10,000/6500 gsp
100/200 herring
thats my bets guys, if fitch wins, my wife will be killing me!!!

by kevin doesn't know shit on Aug 9, 2008 1:13 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Unless you get the Herring pick right. What’s losing 10K when you won 200 bucks? Still, my guess is that you’ll be up $6400 after tonight.

by UFCAddict on Aug 9, 2008 3:05 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

comments here and stitch thread mania
off to company picnic guys, enjoy the fights, I’ll try to get on late night. sorry to disagree with you john, rampage is a great fighter, but he’s in some trouble here, if you think thats not enough damage to cause a miscarriage, do some reading my friend!

by kevin doesn't know shit on Aug 9, 2008 1:21 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Unlike u, I prefer to not judge the situation and just leave it alone, since none of us really know any of the facts. I am not the judgmental type and I refuse to play that game with out being privy to all the facts!

by john on Aug 9, 2008 3:49 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

What don’t you know? he was driving on sidewalks, sideswiped someone and got taken at gun point! Was he not in the monster truck with him plastered on the side? I don’t know how many more facts you need! He may NOT have been the cause of the miscarriage, I’ll give you that, but it looks bad, and civally, he’ll be paying a lot of money to this woman!

by kevin doesn't know shit on Aug 9, 2008 7:00 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

LOL, you judge my OPINIONS all the time, but don’t see the facts here? I’ll admit, you can’t prove what caused the miscarriage, but it doesn’t matter when it comes to a civil suit. As far as the rest of the situation, what evidence more do you need? He sideswiped someone, fled, eluded police (on a side walk) and was arrested on felonies, at gun point. So are you saying it was a body double and he was actually at the dodger game? He’s gonna pay this lady, and In my OPINION was a direct affect on her miscarriage. Do I really care, nope, I care about my life, I come here to give my insight, and some of you guys have to bash. I could say the sky is blue, some of you guys just dislike me so much, you’d argue. If you’re trying to hurt my feelings, stop, because I could truly care less what my mom thinks of me, never mind you guys here. I read and agree or disagree with what you say, but I try my best (unless you come at me) to give an open and honest opinion or take. sorry some of you guys can’t handle someone that disagrees. As far as facts, unlike some of you, I quote sources every time I cut and paste and/or email a story to mania. That way you know when I’m stating a fact or giving an opinion, maybe you guys should take a remedial writing class to try to learn the dos and don’ts

by kevin doesn't know shit on Aug 9, 2008 7:14 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

no worries kevin and everybody else. we all just come on this site to joke around and have fun, talk fights, voice opinions. everybody gets bashed. just water off a ducks back.

irrelevant but found some of those olympic commercials kinda inspiring: visa come together commercial

enjoy the fights n drive safe!

On a previous thread I mentioned this, but if anyone wants to get in, here’s another chance. People say you can do this on MMA Playground, but I just thought I’d try to set up some rules for those of us at mmamania that would make things even. Suppose you have $1000. You have to bet a minimum of $200 on these three fights (fitch/gsp, brock/herr, huerta/ken). Let me know what your betting on whom and let’s see who comes out with the most fake money. Oh, and keep the bid incriments to $50 at the smallest.

My bets are

Ken-Flo $600
Brock $200
GSP $200

by Punch You in the Ovaries on Aug 9, 2008 2:35 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I will give it a go.

Florian $500
Brock $400
Fitch $100

by BNF on Aug 9, 2008 2:46 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Herring $600
GSP $200
KenFlo $200

by Lucas on Aug 9, 2008 2:56 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Ken-Flo $700
Brock $200
GSP $100

by UFCAddict on Aug 9, 2008 3:08 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Looks like, I win. Too bad, I only won $10 for real on BetUs. I tried to win $10 on Kenny, Brock, GSP, Maia, and Manny. Manny cost me $30, which left me with only a $10 win. I paid $45 for the ppv, and only one friend chipped in, giving me another $10. So, all in all, the ppv cost me $25. I did, however, finish 31st in the UFC Fantasy. Now, I’m only 126 points away from cracking the top 50. Man, I may have to change my name to UFCGeek.

You can back Jon Fitch at +340 at Betfair.com

Those are tasty odds.

by RobH86 on Aug 9, 2008 4:44 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

give me fitch +250 8 days a week
Fitch $400
Huerta $200
Lesnar $400(no brainer)

by day1er on Aug 9, 2008 6:53 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

what the hell was joe silva thinking, manny vs. rob emerson is the most lop sided fight I can ever remember. The fight offers no possible scenerio for emerson to make this fight competitive. Manny should be fighting higher caliber fighters than this guy. Give him a Clay Guida, or a Frankie Edgar or someone of his own pedigree.

by day1er on Aug 9, 2008 7:02 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

lol. agreed.

Oops. I guess you were wrong.

I am very dissappointed in what I just saw Broc Lesner is the most disrespectful fighter I have ever seen. I have never seen someone in the UFC be so disrespectful to anouther fighter after a match! This is not the WWE and that is why we watch. All the fighters give there respect after a fight how dare he be so disrespectful to the texas crazy horse or any fighter for that matter. The texas crazy horse may have lost but deserves respect for the beating he indured all the way to the end. I lost all respect for broc!!!!

by Ro Erhart on Aug 10, 2008 12:52 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

its spelled BROCK! youve spelled it wrong on every thread you posted this same blog. we get it. you hate brock with a K.
