Texas Crazy Horse is going to beat Lesnar, and send him back to the WWE

by mikeybear on Jul 24, 2008 9:52 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Brock will never go back to the WWE, so I am not really sure whatthe hell u r talking about. He is an mma fighter, and he is respectful and works hard at it, so stop the hate and appreciate the Phenominal athlete that he is.

Athletically, he is basically a 300 lbs version of GSP. Once his skills catch up, Brock will be a bad dude!

by john on Jul 24, 2008 10:32 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

GSP!!!!!!!! yeah right, he got submited in the first round with ankle lock for god sake he aint going do nothing in mma. The guys just big thats it end of story.

Lets Go Crazy Horse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

by Kahaluu Caz!!!!!! on Jul 24, 2008 11:59 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

It was a knee bar brother, not an ankle lock. And he will be a beast you will see. Brock is going to win that fight.

by JV on Jul 24, 2008 12:15 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

and john was saying athletically not skill wise, bigggg difference.

by mearls on Jul 24, 2008 12:42 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

yeah, I think some of u people are dislexic and cant interpret the actual words that u see on your screens.

I was comparing them athletically! Damn…Try actually rEADING for once!

by john on Jul 24, 2008 12:54 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

john, don’t waste your breath. the guy couldn’t even throw together a semi-readable sentence, so i’m pretty sure he is lacking in the brain cell department.

i’m really looking forward to this fight. i really like both fighters so i’m torn, i don’t know who to pick.

i just hope that Mazagatti isn’t the ref again this time so he can screw Brock over yet again.

by KitsuneX on Jul 24, 2008 1:02 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

mazzaggatti should never be allowed to referee a fight involving a fighter that he already screwed over. Once should be enough for all fighters!

by john on Jul 24, 2008 5:40 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

knee bar or ankle lock it was NOT a memorable fight and thats my point. You WWE fans can say what you will but the guy looks like crap when he’s throwing punches. My 11 year old daughter throws more from the hip then he does. He is and will be only a wrestler in the MIXED MARTIAL ARTS WORLD! Now Cain Valasques is the real deal.

by Kahaluu Caz!!!!!! on Jul 24, 2008 8:27 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Damn he does look like he’s in the best shape of his life. But letting that fat guy take him down… I’m starting to doubt if he has any chance of stopping a Lesnar take down. I’m still takin Heath tho GO TEXAS CRAZY HORSE.

John, you are the king of hijacking posts and off-topic conversation.

Isn’t there a forum somewhere you can vent?

by jd on Jul 24, 2008 9:28 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

It would be nice, or maybe you could start your own post for once..

by O damn he got caught on Jul 24, 2008 10:18 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Get off my nuts! THis match up has been talked about a million times already, thats why I posted the news under this thread. If you dont like it, ignore it!~ its not hard, I ignore you 2 every single day of my life, trust me its not hard!

This is the last month I will be posting on this site! starting SEptember, I begin my 6 month internship, and I doubt I will be able to post during the day.

So I will be out of your hair! Will u miss me? lol

by john on Jul 24, 2008 10:28 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

No one will miss you and obviously you don’t ignore us if your replying to the post… And honestly I don ’t think a whole lot of people give a damn about a Babalu vs Tito Ortiz fight. Aleks testing positive for hepatitus sucks and I wish him the best.

Yo John: These threads are ours to comment on and debate subjects.. The author of the thread puts up a topic of choice and “us” readers run with it. The thread goes where it’s going to go. Where we take it. Their Hater’s.. if they wanted to stay on the subject at hand.. all they need to do.. i was do that..but they don’t they need to say “how your the king of Hijacking threads”..yeah sure.. all threads are to “hijacked” by us readers.. there for us. Without us daily coming on this site.. where would this site be. I love MMAmania.. as we spoken on this before..the best place to share/debate our MMA opinions..is right here.

It’s human nature to hate.. I don’t know why..but it is. Peeps like us a huge rocks that don’t move.. the haters ..they’re just little pebbles.. tiny little grains of sand that get stuck in between our toes.. htey can at times be annnoying..but they are everywhere. So please don’t them, let them sweat you.

I don’t have a problem with him posting something off topic, but shouldn’t that be a new post? Why reply to someone’s post with a completely off topic line of conversation. Sure I don’t mind hearing the “breaking news” stuff or off topic info, but why can’t that be a new post??

by O damn he got caught on Jul 24, 2008 10:57 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

why does it matter? What did u mention that was so important that I shouldnt have “Jacked it”? that some little fat dude was taking down Hearing?….Sorry to ruin your garbage of a post… Lets just agree to ignore each other, because, I make more relevant posts in 1 day, then you make in an entire month.

The reaosn I posted it under yours, was because you idnt post anything worth leaving it alone and I didnt want to Jack other peoples post, that actuially bring something relevant to the table.

Phil, as usual you are right. you are very wise Daniel Son….“Always look in eye”… "tatatata…Look eye Daniel son! lol……THese little haters arelike annoying pebbles in my toes…

U may not miss me, but I am sure you know who I am, you on the other hand, are a blip in my radar. HOw many people that you have never heard of E-mail you questiopns about mma? I get about 5 a day from people on this site asking me to drop knowledge on them…..therefor, there are people on this site tyhat value what I have to say, can u honestly say the same? Doubt it!

Just so you know, if you post something inciteful, I leave the thread alone, but if you are going to just post something for the sake of posting it, then Hell yeah, I am going to Jack it! Get used to it Buddy!

i’ll miss you john. we dont see eye to eye on alot of things, and your 1 of the few guys i can have a heated debate without it getting personal, but we always agree on 1 thing, our love of mma, all mma. you’ll be back though somehow i think………. and btw, a.a. by 1rst rnd ko. ha!

by b.w. on Jul 24, 2008 11:11 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

B.W: thank you for your support. U r right, we really dont agree on much, we debate the crap out of it, with out letting it get personal. Thats why I respect you! Keep it up, and of Course I will still check this site as much as I can, but I am in the process of interviewing with companies, so I am not yet sure where I will be working, or If I will have the opportunity to check this site through out the day. Hopefully, I land with a cool company that wont keep me completely away from this site

I will probably only be able to make like 1 post a day, so I will probably have to do what Kevin does, just make 1 big post and incorporate all the days in news in that 1 posts!

by john on Jul 24, 2008 11:33 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

good luck. and im sure you can be more original than kevin! lol!

That is totally retarded john, you arn’t replying to his comment. Lets say I want to have a conversation with him, how the hell can he read my reply, when you are discussing your relationship in his reply section?
Do you honestly think you know more about MMA than all of us? Even if you did that makes your opinion no better than ours.
NEWS FLASH>>>>>>> who the hell would email you about your “knowledge” of MMA, when there is wikipedia?

by NewGuyTheGunMan on Jul 24, 2008 12:01 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

U werent going to respond to his comment cause it was stupid! that why I posted mine underneath his! What the hell did he write that was worth replying to? How Hetah was being taken down by a short fat guy? Give me a break! wTF could u possibly have to say about that?

BTW, it doesnt take much to scroll past my comment and keep your conversations flowing. I am making an effort not to interupt good conversations, but that was not one of them! Sorry!

by john on Jul 24, 2008 12:56 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

THANK YOU NEWGUY! And you’ll notice all I said was, “why can’t you start a new post?” Nothing belittling or insulting about that comment and he goes straight to being condescending/arrogant. It’s like he has to write 3-4 paragraphs just to say “your stupid”, if you disagree with the guy. John you don’t write even semi courtious responses when someone disagrees with you. You make it a point to attempt to get personal with/belittle that person for having a different opinion. Seriously get off your high horse, cause no one here thinks your a big shot except for you John.

Sincerely,

Blip on your radar

My my my its going off in here!!

Don’t want to hate on anyone but at times i have been frustrated by some posters.

F*ck it, lets be honest i’m talking about John. I respect your love for mma and would happily have a beer with you and right the worlds wrongs but you do tend to shout down others which gets on my tits.

There, i said it… its just you do yourself no favours by saying, ‘oh well people know me on here’ and ‘more relevant comments in a day than you in a year’????

Mate, its cyber world so thats nothing to be proud of and this is an opinions website respect all comers, but most of all… don’t get too stuck into your own self importance.

That sounds like a bitching session, its not because as i said abouve you clearly love your MMA and i’ve got nothing but love for the true fans, but be carefull because sometimes you can come across as an arse.

This is a sick card…shit, UFC 88 and UFC 89 are shaping up nicely as well. Also, Herring will not be able to stop that takedown.

Why? Its a crappy card!

by john on Jul 24, 2008 10:29 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Card looks good to me, personally I wanna see the Tavares vs Pellegrino fight, Rich vs Matt, and I don’t care who Hendo fights I’ll watch a Dan fight any day. The rest are worth a look but I’m not really looking forward to Chuck vs Evans. Yoshida vs Karo might be interesting, he looked good against War Machine but then again, Koppenhaver probably wasn’t the best guy to really test him. Karo getting a lot of hate lately but he’s still a good fighter and I think it’ll be entertaining. All in all, yea I’ll buy this one if I got an extra $40 layin around.

by O damn he got caught on Jul 24, 2008 10:44 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

THis card is Stupid and its filled with fights that should have not been booked!

Chuck vs. rashad? r u kidding me? another tailor made opponent for Chuck….if these are the types of opponents that chuck will be spoonfed, why not justlet him keep fightingf Babalu and Tito over and over again? I mean, whats the difference?

Hendo vs. Rusimar is CRAP! Why? Because Franklin is also involved in a CRAP of a fight on the same card, so why not book a MEGA co-main event between Hendo vs. Franklin? Especially since we are already getting a watered down main event! Sometimes I just dont get what Joe Silva is thinking!

The only match up that I really like on this card is Karo vs. Yoshida….every other match up on this card could be much better….I mean seriously, WTF is Franklin vs. Hamil all about? Just Stupid, if u ask me!

by john on Jul 24, 2008 11:37 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Tavares vs. Batman, probably wont be televised!

Anyone know When Gorenj Relik will be fighting again? T Hat Kid is an animal and I am dying to see him fight!

by john on Jul 24, 2008 11:38 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

ha. I have to say I disagree with you about UFC 88. I find it to be a very intriguing event filled with interesting storylines. You seems to think that some of fights are “tailored” made for certain fighters, but you as an avid fan of MMA world, should know that nothing is ever guaranteed. Am I right? Nothing’s guarantee is why all (in my case, any) fight cards are interesting even if the odds are lopsided. Maybe it’s just me, but I’m always rooting for that “puncher’s luck” and hope for a surprise fight.

by 123boogie on Jul 24, 2008 12:24 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I am with you Kevin on both counts. Brock has been taking people down for almost all his life. I dont think a few weeks training takedown defense is gonna help Herring all that much. He better work on getting up off his back more.

by NorthStar on Jul 24, 2008 11:59 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Dont understand why people are counting Herring out or overhyping Lesnar so much. Heath is a veteran and has been through wars with some of the best. His stand up and bjj is very good. He pretty much had the current interim champ Nogeira beat in his fight but he just made a costly mistake. I look for Herring to pull of the “upset” against Lesnar.

by Bobby O'shea on Jul 24, 2008 9:27 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

his bjj? are you serious? when heath gets on the ground he looks like a fish out of water with the exception of a rnc on an already downed opponent.

by newkoba on Jul 24, 2008 9:58 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

herring hurt big nog whos 230lbs brocks coming down off being 300 and is a beast with that double leg no way he stops a takedown or hits brock

by randy murders on Jul 24, 2008 10:11 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Eh, he dropped Kongo opening of rd 1 with a right hand. I bet if Brock fires out like a cannon and gets all crazy with Heath he gets caught.

by O damn he got caught on Jul 24, 2008 10:19 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I agree! but keep in mind, YES he has been in there aginst the best, but he never really beat any of the top fighters that he has faced. I give him a good chance of beating Brock…He should dominate the stand up! Problem is, I doubt he can keep the fight standing very long.

by john on Jul 24, 2008 10:30 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

As long as Brock has a decent chin, I see him winning this fight. Meaning as long as Brock doesn’t take Heath’s best punch right on the button, there is no way that Heath is going to be able to keep Brock from taking him down and I don’t see Heath submitting him like Mir did. Brock has had more time to train and Heath isn’t near as good on the ground as Mir.

by brac on Jul 24, 2008 12:56 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I wouldn’t see it as an upset. The guy is 1-1 in MMA. This fight can only help Brocks credibility. Through victory. If he loses, then so what? He has been fighting top competition ever since he entered the UFC. He has potential and he could really do big things in the world of MMA. This is also a test for his chin. I would imagine that he could take a punch but then again, ya never really know.

by RyanHobbs on Jul 24, 2008 8:30 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I rewatched the Lesnar/Mir fight last night. I forgot how huge Lesnar actually is. Mir is a big HW and Lesnar made him look small. He was lucky to get out of there alive. Lesnar only hit him once in the back of the head, Mazagatti could have waited to see if he would redirect his punches… I can’t wait to see if Lesnar will be little more patient, get the takedown and use those clubs to work a little GnP for the TKO.

by BNF on Jul 24, 2008 11:18 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Lesnar was very impressive against Mir. Mir’s face looked as if he got pounded with a sledgehammer after only 1 min. If Lesner never stands up and gives Mir his leg then that fights ends on the ground with Mir unconcious.

by Fokman on Jul 24, 2008 3:51 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Brock wins this fight easy

by Mike on Jul 24, 2008 12:14 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Herring is a big heavyweight, and until I see how well Lesner takes a punch off him or maybe a knee to the face, then I am going with Herrings experience over Lesners wrestling abilty. Without doubt Lesner is the better wrestler, but it is his chin that will determine how far he goes in the UFC, I will make my judgement on him after this match.

by Ade on Jul 24, 2008 1:22 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I don’t doubt this guy can take a shot but what about cumulative damage over 3 rounds of action. We already know Herring can take a beating and keep on going, and 3 rounds isn’t gonna be a problem for him. Will Brock blow all his cardio in rd 1 trying to put Heath away? I think his desire to be an exciting fighter and to prove himself might be his undoing if he doesn’t pace himself and stick to a gameplan. If Heath can weather an early GnP and wear Brock down a bit I’ll give it to Herring (assuming he can’t catch Brock early with a good shot). Brock is heavily muscled his body just needs more oxygen, I think the longer this fight lasts the better Heath’s chance’s are.

by O damn he got caught on Jul 24, 2008 1:33 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Herring needs to attack Brock like he did Kongo in the beginning of the fight.

by Tito is Still Bada$$ on Jul 24, 2008 1:40 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Its a good card Herring i think is going to win the fight. brock is good put some wins under him going to be one of the best at HW

This fight sucks for me, I like Heath and also want to see Lesner do well in the UFC. Both guys seem to be good hearted and don’t think their sh!t don’t stink. Hope its a good fight.
