UFC ringside announcer, comedian and all-around good guy, Joe Rogan, is a new daddy, according to the Orange County Register. Something that we never passed along here before this announcement.
It's a first for the 40-year-old. And, unsurprisingly, he's got some deep thoughts on the May arrival.
Here's a snip:
"... it's so odd. Babies, especially newborn babies, are so odd because they can't talk or communicate – they're almost like aliens, like little aliens and you have to teach them to be people. It's really fascinating but when they cry it's the worst feeling ever because you have to figure out what she wants – does she want milk, or to be walked around or be rocked or left alone, does she have an upset stomach? It's crazy how this little person that you just met, you'd do anything for."
Wonder if he ponders fatherhood and newborns in his new isolation tank. Regardless, congratulations, Joe.

WED MORNING CONVERSATION WITH KEVIN:
UFC VS. THE WORLD
First the video I put up with kung le talking about fighting anderson silva and the fight in the works, and now Randy saying he and fedor could still fight in the UFC. It got me thinking. what if there were a UFC vs. the world show?
Randy/Fedor
Silva/Le
GSP/Shields
Nog/Arlovskii
Brock/Kimbo
Chuck/aleks
BJ/kid or gomi
Wand/frank shamrock
sanchez/nick diaz
There are many other fights, but wanted to keep the trend of no UFC fighters against one another. Before you flame on me, think about it. It could take place in Japan where they could sell more than 100,000 tickets, and ppv #‘s would top 10 million. Not to mention the UFC wins 9/10 fights, and Dana shuts up gary shaw because there is no way Kimbo would take a fight against the UFC’s newest and most inexperienced fighter. At some point, something like this WILL happen!

- side note, the whole ppv buy thing started by me stating fedor only sold 15,000 in his fight against lindland, and that he’s not a draw. Roy jumped on it. You guys are acting as if I care if they sold tons. If they did, great, it will be better for us (the fans) in the long run. Those aren’t official #’s though, just the Vice president of afflictions estimate.

Not sure why you’re posting that in the Rogan blog, but I think you need to work on your matchups… Silva vs Le please that is a total mismatch… GSP/Sheilds… why there is much much better fighters in the UFC for GSP.. BJ vs Gomi.. BJ vs GSP is better than all of those.. If kid is going to fight anyone else it should be faber.. wand vs frank… why? Almost all of these matches are dumb because there are matches in their own respective organization that would be twice as good to see. Randy vs Fedor is the only good one and that has lost its luster
it just doesn’t make sense b/c the UFC has tons better competition in their own divisions

A very interesting read with some quality matches but unfortunatly it will only ever be fit for playgound/water cooler discussions.
The only way we’ll ever see these dream matchups is if Zuffa buy out everyone like they did pride and leave the fighters no options.
Not saying i want them to but thats how it is.
The UFC have got mma locked at the moment, almost like you call a ball point pen a biro, mma is the UFC (to 95% of the fans… don’t flame me).
Dana will never cross promote, he got burnt with Chuck when he tried that all those years ago, he has got too much to loose.
Its the ‘what if’ factor that stops him… what if Le knocks out Silva. Or Sheilds pounds out GSP… the UFC has got too much to loose.
