This has to be the heaviest (lbs) card in MMA history. Has to be around 5000 lbs total.

watching live on fight network right now…..

by canuck on Jul 18, 2008 6:19 PM EDT reply actions

I dont understand the “Affliction is gonna fail!” talk… The powers that be in this company have obviously considered the fact that fedor costs more than they are going to get in PPV’s and ticket sales, and they are still going through with it… are they just dumb? obviously not… they are running a very succesful clothing company and probably have plans for the future with this thing… whether it be just a gigantic advertising opportunity for their clothing line, or perhaps to show what sort of match ups theyre going to have as a company, and tone down their fighter revenue in the future.

by brendan on Jul 18, 2008 6:33 PM EDT reply actions

Affliction clothing wont fail, Affliction MMA will. The reason Affliction doesnt care about loosing money is cause their in it for the clothing line. Even though this is a great card, what are they going to do with the 2nd card?

Tim Silvia via 1st round KO.

by anthony cazares on Jul 18, 2008 6:42 PM EDT reply actions

I don’t know about first round ko, but Timmy will win.

by Rubberman on Jul 18, 2008 10:27 PM EDT up reply actions

Wrong! and Wrong!

by RipTheSystem on Jul 18, 2008 10:31 PM EDT up reply actions

If Timmy wins, it’s just going to throw a big wrench in Randys plains. Will he go back and fight Nog, will Tim go back to UFC, what?

by Rubberman on Jul 18, 2008 10:42 PM EDT up reply actions

woops, someone said something like that below, sorry

by Rubberman on Jul 18, 2008 10:44 PM EDT up reply actions

Mike Whitehead via 1st round ground and pound.

by anthony cazares on Jul 18, 2008 6:43 PM EDT reply actions

You must mean LOSE by first round ground and pound. It will actually be Bobalu by 1st round submission.

by chefdaddy on Jul 18, 2008 11:36 PM EDT up reply actions

Fedors parents probably had to tie some meat around him just so the dog would play with him. I still wonder if Dana is paying Tim some money under the table if he KO’s Fedor??? That said, LETS GO BIG TIM!!!!!!!

by JV on Jul 18, 2008 6:43 PM EDT reply actions

LOL… I wouldn’t put it past Dana. I know your still a Randy supporter and if Tim wins the entire Randy crusade is meaningless. If Tim does win maybe he will pull his head out and come back and fight Big Nog… Are you going to buy the PPV? If not where will you watch?

by BNF on Jul 18, 2008 7:43 PM EDT up reply actions

I agree man, I also would love to see Big Tim KO Fedor, Sylvia deserves it.

by Haze on Jul 18, 2008 7:46 PM EDT up reply actions

Just knock him out tim!

by Ro-J on Jul 19, 2008 12:30 AM EDT up reply actions

I bet u have never watched a fedor fight!

by john on Jul 19, 2008 9:07 AM EDT up reply actions

It’ll be interesting to see the implications if Timmy wins… Couture will have no one to wait around to fight.

by AmishPhysicist on Jul 18, 2008 6:46 PM EDT reply actions

does anyone even care about couture anymore? hes retired, isnt coming out, bounced because he couldnt choose his fights as champ… who cares about this geezer? he either needs to put up or shut up

How could someone with a name so simmilar to mine come in 4 lbs overweight?

Justin Levins= Fat Loser
Dustin Blevins= Awesome

by DB on Jul 18, 2008 7:30 PM EDT reply actions

I was sort of wondering what Affliction could possibly come up with next. We’ll see. I also wonder why Fedor thinks he’s worth so much when he doesn’t pull a huge draw? Why not charge something reasonable until he gets a fanbase?

by dave on Jul 18, 2008 7:54 PM EDT reply actions

I was at the weigh-ins everybody keeps saying how Fedor has no fan base the arena must have only been filled to 1/10 of it s capacity but it sound it like there may be a full house when they annouced Fedor, Tim didn’t even get that big of a response but he got alot of boo’s. It must of suck for him everybody got cheered except for him.

by hk on Jul 18, 2008 8:11 PM EDT up reply actions

It always cracks me up when Tim Sylvia is at a weigh-in. He ALWAYS sucks in his flabby gut. Just look at the pic. He’s totally sucking in his stomach.

by Sean M on Jul 18, 2008 9:41 PM EDT reply actions

Not only is this a better fight card than any that has ever taken place in the UFC. It’s got more pale skin an body fat than any UFC card in history. This might be the chunkiest card in MMA history!!

Seriously though, Tim’s body is disguisting. And Rizzo is gonna KO JB again, EASILY

by Dom on Jul 18, 2008 10:05 PM EDT reply actions

AA, Lind, Nog, and the lighter fighters balance it out.

by RipTheSystem on Jul 18, 2008 10:30 PM EDT up reply actions

I expect most of the fights to be gas out fests

by Ro-J on Jul 19, 2008 12:32 AM EDT up reply actions

why do promotions always make a spectacle out of fedor’s fights. fighting these huge circus freaks is eventually gonna take its toll on him. goin in to this card i’d have rather seen 6’8" timmy fight 6’6" aleks, what a match up that would’ve been, but aleks hands are twice as quick as timmeh’s. it don’t matter much now though seeing how aleks is off the card.

by deuce 4 on Jul 18, 2008 10:44 PM EDT reply actions

what happened to Pat Speight?

by Teap on Jul 18, 2008 10:49 PM EDT reply actions

I wonder if Josh Barnett is still pumped full of anabolics like right after he beat Couture for the Heavyweight belt in the UFC and then tested positive, lost the belt and Dana White kicked him out. Instead of the Baby Face Assassin it should be the Steroid Face Assassin.

by CaptainAmerica1967 on Jul 19, 2008 1:15 AM EDT reply actions

dude who gives two fucks about josh barnett.
thats a fight i would love couture to fight.

Funny how a lot of people thinks that affliction is going to flop ,those people know that most of the this fighter build the foundation of the UFC.I bet you joe rogan will be watching affliction while his doing commentating in UFC and maybe dana white too.
