What another SNOOZEFEST…Can someone please tell me why Kimbo Slice is the headliner!…Co-Main Event I can kind of understand…But you are trying to build a company why put a horrible fight on as the main event…

AA is a good addition and to be honest I will be rooting for Shamrock…not bad for a free Saturday night of fights. Yes the card is horrible but again it’s free and better than nothing.

by Robert on Sep 24, 2008 8:33 PM EDT up reply actions

That’s the truth. Might not be the best for serious fans but it’s on TV, free and not a terrible card.

by Jake on Sep 25, 2008 1:22 PM EDT up reply actions

Yes Kimbo is a Joke and Bas is a bigger joke he has goten Kimbo fights that my kid could win now Ken has lost his last 5 fights and is way past his time I just hope he don’t get hurt

by Enzo on Sep 25, 2008 5:30 AM EDT up reply actions

dude, two words “andrei arlovski”, not such a SNOOZEFEST with him knockin the shit outta someone…and give kenny some credit, i seriously think he can kick kimbo’s ass…

by loop on Sep 25, 2008 5:05 PM EDT up reply actions

This card is crapp!!! Kimbo gets a shot at a can, what a joke. I agree he should be on the undercard none of his fights have been good, and I hope Ken pulls off the upset, but it is an elite XC show so Ken might take a dive.

Where is nick Diaz? they should have cyborg vs Gina extinction Carano. Most of the fighters in elite XC are all show and no go.

Nick Diaz get out of there NOW!. please don’t let Elite ruin your carreer.

Jake SHields vs Paul Daley is a good fight, and I enjoy all of Ninja’s fights!

by brendan on Sep 10, 2008 12:29 AM EDT up reply actions

So who wants to bet on whether or not Gina comes in overweight?

by IhitU.uHITfloor on Aug 28, 2008 5:23 PM EDT reply actions

I agree, why isn’t the Shields vs. Daley fight the headliner, at least fans of the sport know these guys and moreover they’ve both earned championship status in MMA organizations, not inherited stardom from the popularity of youtube. I watched an 8 year old Chinese kid play some beetles tunes on the guitar the other day on youtube. Maybe Universal or Sony/BMG will sign him to a recording contract. I realize that’s not exactly the same but you see my point. Elite XC is screwed up, I’m not even excited about the Shield/Daley fight. However, I’d probably tune in at least believing that Elite XC is making an effort to become legit, but they’re not and most likely I won’t tune in as a result.

People that bag on UFC or any other decent promotions for over hyping fights that are mediocre should apologize immediately if they have watched the CBS shows. I’m sick of Elite XC pissing in a glass and telling me it’s pop.

Ken Shamrock = washed up . Gina will get crushed by Cyborg. Scott Shields is the real deal, but would get demolished by GSP …. but Brock Lesnar will be a UFC champ, i guarantee …… and who knows, perhaps Ken Shamrock Still has the skills to beat Kimbo… He would have crushed him in his prime, the guy is not a joke. He WAS one of the best that ever did it. He still has great submissions

by Pete on Aug 29, 2008 4:43 PM EDT reply actions

GINA IS NOT FIGHTING CYBORG AND JAKE SHIELDS IS HIS NAME BRO.

by Adam on Aug 30, 2008 12:58 AM EDT up reply actions

your right scott shields is the real deal as the pitcher of the tampa bay rays

by decker on Sep 22, 2008 1:13 AM EDT up reply actions

Kimbo will any elite XC fighterhe should move to ufc and taker on brock!! he is impressive.. dont underestimate the coaching a BAS ruten!

by Paul on Sep 1, 2008 9:41 PM EDT reply actions

haha you try to put the square block in the round hole don’t you……

by san shouer on Sep 28, 2008 1:44 PM EDT up reply actions

There Obviously protecting Gina Corano and Kimbo. Cyborg is on the same show and same weight class and is the best contender to beat Gina but yet the fight doesn’t happen. And Kimbo vs Shamrock thats a joke Shamrock is just a name drop for the people who are not familiar with MMA and outsider might say omg Ken Shamrock anyone who knows him knows that not only is and has been washed up for a long time he also doesn’t have the new skill sets to contend with the new generation that old bs that use to work doesn’t work anymore now smarter faster and more diverse fighters are the new breed.

by Foy on Sep 4, 2008 4:10 AM EDT reply actions

id rather watch cyborg fight then carano

by cyd cyanide on Sep 16, 2008 2:29 PM EDT reply actions

why isnt anyone giving kimbo a chance? sure he has fought washed up fighters that were good in their prime but… he does a great job of beating there ass. u cant blame him for trying to put his talent to use, also ken shamrock still has a few skills….and this should be a decent fight,

by webb on Sep 17, 2008 12:03 AM EDT reply actions

Pete do you even read the cards before you go an badmouth everything…. How are you making predictions on fights that are not even scheduled? If you got a problem with this card and want to talk about it, at least do everyone including yourself a favor and read before commenting. Most of the people on here know what they are talking about, so try not to be “That Guy”

by riskreturngroup on Sep 20, 2008 11:05 AM EDT reply actions

First of all the truth of the matter is Ken Shamrock is a washed up has been who’s last win was against Kimo, who’s a never was. This is just a ridiculous fight that will showcase Kimbo Slice bullying and beating his unworthy adversary in a very short time. The real match up for Kimbo should be Bret Rogers who’s coming of a win and basically called him out. Elite XC is losing money and going belly up, so Kimbo is all they got which is why they are trying to protect they’re commodity by only give him fights they know he can win. Personally in my oppinion they’re a disgrace to MMA, this isn’t WWE!

by Fouad on Sep 24, 2008 4:29 AM EDT reply actions

kimbo losing will put xc out of business ,at least if kimbo loses to brett rogers we can accept it ,but to an over the hill fighter ?no way!!im sure xc realized their “poster boy” would’ve lost to brett ??and they are losing money NOT having the magnificently planned digs from grim rogers forked tongue explode the airways ,he /they were all set for an welll placed grudge match ,i guess it was gary shaws last fuck up ,lets hope ken gets hurt b4 that night and bretts ready to roll,or move the cyborg fight up …cuz shamrock/slice is about as interesting as watching chess

by cyd cyanide on Sep 25, 2008 3:20 PM EDT reply actions

well i guess you like chess because you will be watching kimbo fight that night

by dah-vid on Sep 26, 2008 2:54 PM EDT up reply actions

how can yall bad mouth a card with the “pitbull” on it…this fight night just got some serious juice pumped into it with arlovski in the mix!
and i dont think ken is gonna be to much of a pushover…if he can take the fight to the ground i think he’s got a serious chance to pull off the upset

by loop on Sep 25, 2008 5:08 PM EDT reply actions

for one i have fought in mma for several years and i know what it takes to get ready for a fight .Ken has trained verry hard for this fight and harder then i have ever seen him train although he is gettin up there and cant compete with the new breed as you all refer.I guarantee he will ko kimbo in the first ken has stated this is probably his last fight and he wont let kimbo ruin that and if possible he will keep it standing ,he wants to go out with a bang. and the card is not ufc callibure but this is were the new talent starts and i respect elite for giving them exposure as crooked as they might be

by dozer on Sep 25, 2008 10:07 PM EDT reply actions

Dozer..no clue what you’re talking about. Ken Shamrock has been knocked the f*ck out in pretty much his last four fights, maybe more. His last fight he got ko’d by a relatively unknown fighter. I don’t think he should be fighting anymore, even one more fight seriously jeopardizes his health. I must say Andre “The Pitbull” Arlovski is the only reason i’m gonna tune in to this card.

by Fouad on Sep 26, 2008 5:48 AM EDT reply actions

Why are so many people trashing this card? Obviously Kimbo vs Shamrock as the main event is a joke but getting to see Gina Carano and Arlovski in action is enough for me. And what kind of MMA fan isn’t interested in Ninja vs. Benji Radach? C’mon people it’s free.

by deathreat on Sep 26, 2008 7:09 PM EDT reply actions

AA is good to have on i’ll grant that …. but honestly i just don’t think girls fights are that exciting, i’d rather see her (gina) in another type of action

by san shouer on Sep 28, 2008 1:46 PM EDT up reply actions

is this going to be broadcast in the uk???

by john on Sep 30, 2008 8:17 AM EDT reply actions

Hey man,
As ever Elite XC not on any UK TV stations?
So you will have to revert to other shall we say “online” sources to pick the action up

by MJC_123 on Oct 2, 2008 2:46 PM EDT up reply actions

Kimbo got killed…I was pretty dissapointed i was pretty much sure he was going to get beat up but end up knockout out seth. He got put down by a weak little jab. OH well atleast arlovski got the job done:D
