I am at school so I cant listen to the Audio. Does it mention what organization this fight will take place in?

by john on Jul 9, 2008 11:23 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

He sounds funny..cuz he got braces..he mentioned the organization is up in the air. He’ll fight Tito in 2009.. and that XC is making a good bid. He hopes XC.

Surely Trump is gonna secure Titos signature?

by Nick J on Jul 9, 2008 11:39 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I know this Can has money to get invisiline or something like that. He just lost to cung lee, there both washed up, But I see Tito taking the rematch.

LMAO Chase

by Pat on Jul 9, 2008 1:54 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Nick J, I don’t see Tito signing with Affliction, there’s probably going to be some good guys at 205 lbs and Tito wants to win, he’s going to go where he has a good chance of winning.. he’s probably going to jump around and fight 1 guy at a time, probably once a year.

by THORAZINE on Jul 9, 2008 4:31 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Thanks Pat haha.

by Chase on Jul 9, 2008 5:25 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

As much as I respect Frank I think Tito kills him. I see Tito as being the bigger, stronger guy here.

by OJR on Jul 9, 2008 12:24 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

maybe bigger and stronger but not better, i see frank winning again.and chase frank is not washed up yet.

by roy on Jul 9, 2008 12:34 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Tito has fought and lost to better competition since Frank first beat him.

Chuck, Machida, Randy, Belfort, etc.

Frank’s list????

by OJR on Jul 9, 2008 2:04 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

u do realize that Ortiz is only 15-6, and while he has fought better competition he hasn’t beaten better competition…

by O damn he got caught on Jul 9, 2008 2:24 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

yes tito has fought the better comp. losing to it. frank has wins over rutten and horn after beating tito he has not really lost a fight till cung lee even though he did not fight much. i just think he has alot better skills than tito.

by roy on Jul 9, 2008 2:27 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

O Damn and Roy-

15-6 is still a winning record.

Frank’s wins over Cung Lee and Baroni do not compare to Tito’s list of who’s who.

Tito may pale in comparison to UFC fighters but he is still a better overall talent than what Frank faces at EliteXC.

I would rather have a C average at Harvard than an A average at Joe’s State College.

by OJR on Jul 9, 2008 3:07 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

oops, I mean Frank’s loss to Cung Lee. My bad.

by OJR on Jul 9, 2008 3:08 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I understand your point OJR, but Harvard curriculum and State College curriculum is practically the same, only difference is Harvard cost more money and it’s more difficult for students to get in, at all levels… it’s probably safe to say, the brightest go there. "I guess I’m being picky about your comment since I went to a state college…lol.

Makes me think of the bar scene in Good Will Hunting.

by naturalshadow on Jul 10, 2008 2:06 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Who cares, really? Too little, too late, in my opinion. Neither fighter will make a statement in their division with a win, and Tito is just plain boring to watch.

by Josh on Jul 9, 2008 3:03 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I don’t see Frank losing this fight what so ever.

by "Mr. NC-17" on Jul 9, 2008 11:05 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Yep, there’s a lot of Frank bashing going on lately but I still think he’s top notch, Tito has no chance.

by O damn he got caught on Jul 9, 2008 11:33 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Yeah if Frank can overcome his ego trying to win at his opponants game (a la chung le fight) he is a handfull for most.

I don’t see how Tito beats him.

by Nick J on Jul 9, 2008 11:52 AM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Hmm, I don’t know, I really think Frank had a legit chance at beating Cung in striking, in the 3rd he was really rockin him with that right hand. I’d love to see the rematch though, hopefully Frank impliments a more well rounded game plan. Also I think the reason he’s so focused on striking is cause he’s trying to make himself more marketable, he probably figures a knockout artist is just a bigger draw.

by O damn he got caught on Jul 9, 2008 1:01 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I think a lot of the bashing comes simply from the fact that he’s Ken’s brother, leading everyone to assume that he’s over-rated, washed up, not good enough anymore.

by chefdaddy on Jul 9, 2008 3:07 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Frank is still a top notch fighter and he has very bad knees. Tito would not be able to win this fight. But it would be nice to see who has the bigger ego. That victory in my eyes.. goes to Frank.

by "Mr. NC-17" on Jul 9, 2008 10:22 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

LOL!! Late 09. Frank is the best! These two clowns will be talking about the possible meaningless fight for the next 18 months oh boy thats just great.

by damaja on Jul 9, 2008 11:35 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Frank is full of it. I would bet that none of these fights will happen.

by Silo on Jul 9, 2008 11:35 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

I really hope that all of the fights that Frank spoke about happen. Ken Vs. Frank would be an amazing bout.

Who really wouldn’t want to watch tito get his ass beat from frank honestly.

by Steve-0 on Jul 9, 2008 11:46 AM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Ken Vs Frank would just be embarassing for Ken, unless Frank decides to carry him a couple rounds..

by O damn he got caught on Jul 9, 2008 12:00 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

Frank vs ken would not be a great match, unless you consider Ken extending his loss streak great. Frank would kill Ken. Ken should fight fellow douche has been Phil Baroni instead.

by the_mexicutioner on Jul 9, 2008 12:09 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

baroni may be a douche but i think he would really hurt ken not a good fight, shit berry knocked out ken what do you think phil would do to him.

by roy on Jul 9, 2008 12:36 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I gotta say SILO is probably right even though I’m in agreeance with Steve-O as well. I want to see it but Frank talks way too damn much. Frank Shamrock is talented but he’s not very reliable when it comes to fight dates.

by Dan on Jul 9, 2008 10:08 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

anyone vs. ken would not be a good fight, ken is all washed up and should just retire and try to save some face at least.

tito all the wayyyyyyy

by the real deal on Jul 9, 2008 12:08 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

Ken vs Royce. Ha! I give it to Royce.

by O damn he got caught on Jul 9, 2008 12:26 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

If Ken stops right now I gotta believe that maybe he retains a little credit. It’s like Brett Favre right now. Sorry fellas. He’s sort of embarrassing himself. When UFC 44 Vendetta hit I was the biggest Shamrock fan. Now? I just cringe and hot he gets out of the ring with his brain intact. Sorry Ken!

What senior’s complex will this event be held in??

by DJ on Jul 9, 2008 12:51 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

late 09? WTF

by FukStyck on Jul 9, 2008 1:16 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

IMHO Shamrock tarnished his reputation when he “played around” with Le (by not even trying to take the fight to the ground). Tito once said that he really liked Lorenzo Fertitta. Now that Lorenzo is working full time with the UFC, will Tito now be open to returning? At any rate, Tito vs. Shamrock probably wouldn’t be that big of a card except for us hardcore types. Personally, I don’t think that EliteXC will even be around in a year.

by Muscle Dolphin on Jul 9, 2008 3:28 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

this would actually be a really good fight if both came 100% full force and didn’t “play around”.

by kama kaze on Jul 9, 2008 6:32 PM EDT up reply actions   0 recs

I disagree. The UFC was able to milk Ortiz-Ken for 3 fights. Both Tito and Frank are known by casual fans, more so than a name like Fedor.

Ken vrs Tank loser retires for good

by Mike on Jul 9, 2008 3:32 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

difference between the 2 is tank can throw bombs and is kinda cool and doesn’t go bashing people for no reason, ken’s just a piece of trash follower who never was any good and doesn’t deserve to have been named as “the worlds most dangerous man” at one point i never seen a fight he looked decent in he has no skills and has no brain

tanks just a drunken idiot who likes to fight whether he wins or loses it wont go to a decision LOL

They should start a senior tour like in golf.. i think as many fans tune in to see Ortiz as do to get a glimpse of Jenna.. She is a nimble little manx….

by DRE on Jul 9, 2008 3:46 PM EDT reply actions   0 recs

sup with that, tito’s returning to the fight game again, why can’t Jenna make a couple more video’s…

Frank Shamrock is one of the earlier pro-types for the complete mixed martial artist. Great subs, can strike and wrestle. He’s still a factor at this stage against any of the top guys, though he might not beat the best of the best.

But the thing with fighting Ken I don’t get at all. He acts like it’s some kind of major event, when I think it would be an embarrassment for both of them. Frank, while he still has a couple of years left at the top, should be looking to fight champions or serious contenders, not someone (even if there is the brother story line, sfw) who should have retired years ago and has absolutely no chance against him.

The only fight left for Ken is Kimbo, if he wants to go there. If Kimbo is going to rebound from his mystique shattering “win” over Thompson, he needs a big KO against a name guy. That’s about all Ken has left to offer and it would get him one last pay day. Also, Ken could beat him if he just remembers to take him down and use those sub skills he actually has.

Somewhere along the line, Ken devolved into a guy who just tries to stand and bang (think it was around the Don Frye fight). Say what you will about “The World’s Most Dangerous Man,” he was THE prototype for the modern MMA fighter. He was the first guy to put together striking, subs, wrestling and physique into one package. At his best (the first Servern superfight) he was the undisputed #1 fighter in the world.

Fighting Frank would be more along the lines of an exhibition and I don’t see any serious MMA fan giving a damn about the fight. But Frank seems more interested in the business side of things and maybe he thinks this can be promoted to the general public who know very little about the actual details of MMA. I myself have no interest in fights where one fighter has absolutely no chance against the other one. I’m not talking about underdog fights, I’m talking about mismatches that have no business taking place.
