Wilson Reis vs Brian Caraway Elite XC fight set for 'Saturday Night Fights' on Showtime
Undefeated Brazilian jiu-jitsu stud Wilson Reis (4-0) will meet Brian Caraway (9-2) in a featherweight bout during Elite XC's second installment of "Saturday Night Fights" on July 26 at the Stockton Arena in Stockton, Calif., according to FiveOuncesOfPain.com.
Reis dominated Justin Robbins on the May 31 inaugural edition of Elite XC: "Saturday Night Fights" in New Jersey. He's a monstrous 140 pounder and he's a lightning quick. Pair that athleticism with his jiu-jitsu black belt and you've got one dangerous man in the featherweight division.
He's submitted his last three opponents, including a very game Zach Makovsky at a Sho XC Challenger Series event in January. In fact, that win served Makovsky his first career loss.
Caraway was part of last Saturday's Strkeforce: "Melendez vs Thomson" event in San Jose. He submitted Alvin Cacdac with a first round rear naked choke in impressive fashion. That win was Caraway's seventh consecutive, and he is undefeated at featherweight under the tutelage of Dennis Hallman. Each of his nine wins have come via submission.
This should be an explosive fight with two extremely athletic and gifted jiu-jitsu players.
The 140-pound fight will kick off Elite XC: "Unfinished Business" for the television audience on the Showtime portion of the co-telecast. There are scheduled to be three fights aired on the premium cable channel.
Antonio "Bigfoot" Silva vs Justin Eilers for the first-ever Elite XC heavyweight championship is one of those that has been confirmed. There are also reports of the third bout on Showtime involving light heavyweight standout Rafael Feijao, but nothing is confirmed at this time.
The action will start at 8 p.m ET (5 p.m. PT) and run for one hour before moving directly to the CBS telecast at 9 p.m ET.

I’ve known Caraway for four or five years now. He’s VERY VERY slick on the ground. He can bang too! Can’t wait to see him on the big stage!
