I do know about Mike’s MMA judgement..he pick Chuck to beat Page last year?? Did he see what Page did to him in their first fight in Pride? He is picking Kos over Chris Lyte…Oh I don’t know there buddy.. And he goes on to answer the email by saying "If Chuck beats Rashad..he will be the most logical pick?? He must be Dana’s lil homie..for saying stuff like that. I did agree with him inregars to the MW division…and Page over Forrest.

not to mention immediate title shot if page looses to forrest (which is not going to happen), but to say that would be possible in the most stacked division is crazy!!!

That guy sure did go out on a limb for his picks… All favorites, not a single upset. Does he know that this is MMA?

Dessert Dog does the same thing…..Picks all the favorite on the main card… If you arent going to go out on a limb, dont even make any picks. this is mma, and at least 1 upset will occur on every single main card.
UFC 86, I think the upset is Lytle over Kos…for sure
and I have a feeling Maximus is going to pull off an upset as well.

Forrest and his camp are counting on Jackson not being able to defend against the Knees out of the Tai Clinch. It has been 3 years since he has been hurt by a tai clinch….and that was all before he had juanito by his side. Trust me Juanito has corrected it!
I have a feeling that Forrest will try and Tai Clinch Rampage and Blast him with Knees, 1st Knee Forrest throws, Rampage will catch his leg and turn it into a body slam!
U heard it here 1st!

I love it John and can totally picture it!!!
I can also see Forrest going for the clinch, Rampage accepting it, and hammering him with repeated hooks to the giant ears. Rampage has powerful punches, especially hooks, in the clinch!

Dont forget about his uppercutts! I think Rampage has some of the most powerful uppercutts in all of mma, especially in the clinch.
I have been saying it for months, it will end with an uppercutt, hook combo!

I wouldn’t mind seeing one of his slams..at least once.. then give Forrest the uppercut of death. Forrest won’t even feel nothing for like 5minutes. Rampage is going to drug him up as he gave him a shot of morphine.

The next most “logical” fight would be Rampage and Wanderlei. If either fighter wins, there’s intriguing scenarios.
Rampage wins – Would have avenged his 2 devastating loses vs Wanderlei. Then fight Machida next.
Wanderlei wins – Then a title fight against poster boy Lidell would be called for. I think Silva would win the 2nd time around (just by looking at the dismantling of Jardine)

WHAT!!!i wouldnt mind seeing Rampage get his revenge against Wandy,or fight Chuck again, but i never, never, never wanna see Lyoto fight again, especially for the title.Machida is a f-ing bore.

Man! i say if i had to money on this fight i would lay it on Rampage Jackson KO,.. but i love the underdogs and Griffin is a great pick cause of his big heart and conditioning….
by mikeybear on Jul 2, 2008 9:17 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I like Forrest..and he has super human condtioning..a heart of gold..but it won’t help him when Rampage starts attacking him like alaskan Grizzle Bear..Page is going hurt Forrest. Bad.

I have been saying it all week. Forrest is getting his Jaw broken in 3 days! I like Forrest, but he isnt on Rampage’s level….Its as simple as that!

philQNy: yesterday u informed me that mma was about to become legal in Memphis! Rampage vs. Wanderlei in Memphis would be F**King HISTORIC!!! I get chills thinking about the staredown!

Classic my dude..classic. I’m 150% Brazilian..and if Page were to square with Wandi for the LHW title..and I’m super Wandi fan.. I will be pulling for Page.
1. He’s the man. 2. He is in his peaking now. 3. Wandi beat him 2X..( different from Page/Chuck..cuz his fights with Wandi were a bit more competitive. )..+ if the UFC goes to his hometown.. wow.. that would be insane.
by PhilQNY on Jul 2, 2008 11:51 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
yeah! dont forget about his glass jaw and no knock out power.

nobody is giving forrest a hell of a chance at this point against jackson, but i can imagine forrest wearing page down by punching over and over til the late round of the fight & will win via TKO in late rounds.

I give Forrest “Head of Steel” a chance. matter of fact my prediction is Rampage being stopped in the 2nd due to punches.

Really?? Well in MMA anythinh/at anytime can happen. On this case matter…I strongly doubt Forrest will stop Page.
by PhilQNY on Jul 2, 2008 12:17 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
lol…i luv Forrest…& I want him to win…but he is NOT going to KO or TKO Rampage.
He has to win by decision or submission.
by Talkman on Jul 2, 2008 5:35 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Submission is out of the question…he is no Sakuraba!
Decision is out of the question as well, since Forrest cant possibly last 25 minutes against a power puncher like Rampage.
Honestly, this kind of reminds me of Rocky 1. I think a victory for Forrest will be to last 25 minutes and loose a decision. He has to be happy with that!
We r talking Rampage hear people!

Why did he have fight picks for Chris Wilson and Ben Saunders? They fight at UFC 87, not UFC 86. At least do your homework buddy. I do mine before I post random comments, but you don’t for a tv production. Maybe I should become a mma writer………..

Go back a couple of threads. Mania is looking for writers.

I want to say that this fight will be won by Jackson. But I bet against Forest the last time he was a heavy underdog (against Shogun) and he proved me wrong. Do I go with my head or my heart?
Instead, I’m going with what’s best for business. Rampage is better for business, as he’s more marketable to the non-TUF crowd the UFC desires, so let’s go Quinton!
by Graham on Jul 2, 2008 12:25 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Forrest knows he’s in trouble if he goes in head first with Rampage. I agree. That is why I think Forrest will sit back and pick Page apart slowly and Let Page come to him. Forrest has the reach advantage with punches as well as kicks and can do that if he chooses, which I believe he will. I see a pissed off Rampage in the second round and comes guns a blazin’ then Forrest takes him down and wails on him for a bit, and finishes him in the 3rd. It’s the only scenario I can play out in my head other than a super early first rnd KO by Page.

I have no consistency in calling fights though, but I’m ussually spot on punch for punch or my prediction is so off, I make myself look like an idiot. Never is it anything in between. So, we’ll see.
