I kind of fell off the whole video game craze in the past 2 years. I never got around to buying a Ps3 or an Xbox 360. I still use my regular (ancient) X-box the few times I actually decide to play. I basically kept my X box just to play Madden and FiFa soccer.
My question is: Will the UFC game come out for regular X-box? or will I be forced to buy a PS3 or an Xbox 360 in order to play the UFC video game?

bad news for ya John, the old X-box is obsolete(sp?) there’s no plans for any new games on the old format, if ya wanna play this one, you’re gonna have to shell out the money for a next gen console.

thanks for the bad news! So now I got to pay a whole new system to play 1 game? I am better off just buying the game and going to my schools game room and playing it there! they got like 3 x-box 360’s set up on hUge Flat screens, and 3 pS3’s as well.

Don’t know if you guys have seen the full video for the game and not just the trailer but if you go to IGN.COM and search UFC 2009 they have the full Rampage v Forrest match in two part’s complete with Rampage KO of Forrest.

I used to work for EA Sports Tiburon. Without a deadline, like there is in football to make Madden or NCAA, expect this game to be phenomenal. However, it should be a little bit better on the PS3 than the XBOX 360. That’s probably the version I’ll go for.

this game looks pretty average movement and graphics wise. check out fight night round 3 on the ps3/360 for what a fighting game should look like. they will get there eventually i guess, but as much as i dislike EA, they make a damn good boxing game.

THQ is making it. Fight Night Round 3 is EA Sports. I have a feeling it will be a mix of FNR3 and the old WCW game for Nintendo 64 or the WWE wrestling games that are available now. I would recommend renting it first.

I just hope they plan release downloadable content in the future.
Update the fighter stats, Top 10 rankings(& champions) and add new fighters to Career Mode.
If so, they’ll get my $60 on the release date.

Yeah, like he’s going to tell the media its anything but fantastic. If it’s one thing UFC does it’s try to create hype. I’m betting there isn’t downloadable content, not actual content. Fighter pics, entrance music maybe, but not updating stats and whatnot. They have to have something to sell the next year.
