I’ll just be watching the Main Event.
Riggs is off of the card for now
but ZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz……….

REALLY??? Joe Diesel has hardcore fans? That comes as a surprise to me. If you are not watching the card because Riggs is not on it, I would guess that you only watch the UFC and Riggs is the only name that you recognize, even though a couple of other fighters on the card have fought in the UFC… And Gilbert is was of the TOP fighters in all weightclasses!
I am getting HDnet next Sunday. I am really mad that I can’t get it for today, WTF! My brother gets the channel so I can get him to DVR it. My 50 yr old stoner neighbor has the channel too, so maybe I’ll have him dvr it and then I’ll watch it tomorrow and smoke him up. That’ll work for me, and I KNOW it’ll work for him.
Does anyone know odds for the main event? Is it being offered any where? Melendez would no doubt be the favorite. But the question is, how big a favorite? If I could get Da Punk at +400 I’d throw a very small amount of money on him. Gilbert is a fighter that has been flying under the main stream radar, since, forever – because he’s never fought in the UFC. He is an absolute, can’t miss, stud.
ALSO, everybody be on the look out for Raymond Daniels. As long as he has worked on his sprawl and has it down really good, he will indeed prove to be The Real Deal.
Drew Fickett is a joke and a complete waste of talent. Turns down a title fight on CBS to fight in his cousin’s, classmate’s uncle’s house. I am happy to hear that he is no longer on the card. He doesn’t deserve to ever to on a televised card again, unless its against Jake Shields so Jake can beat him senseless.

Sad when Bobby Southworth is a champion…What does that say for the division.

I hope to god bobby gets his ass beat and we never see him again.

I would bet money that Bobby Soutworth was one of the fighters that had to continue to cut weight. Remember that moron on TUF 1? Koscheck was dragging him into the sawna and Bobby really thought he was going to die, lol.
by ViolentMike on Jun 27, 2008 9:05 AM EDT up reply actions
Yes I remember his stint on Season 1 of TUF.
What a moron, why would you come in that much over weight knowing you had to fight, then be a HUGE baby about it when he had to get in the sauna.
Props to Kos for being an awesome teammate and helping him out.

Bobby and Kos were complete dicks on season one, constantly screwing with Leben. Bobby is an ass clown.

Im pumped to see Daniels… and interested in seeing how he is gonna adapt he’s style to MMA.
Cocky arrogant bastard, but damn he is awesome to watch.

Yeah from the clips that I watched that Violentmike provided for us, I am looking forward to watching this fight for sure!

Boycott one-word posts! Also, two things that should never appear in the same sentence are “Bobby Southworth” and “title fight.” Except, of course, for the sentence I just wrote.
