UFC Ultimate Fighter 7 Finale medical suspensions and injuries

The Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) today released its medical suspensions for The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 7 Finale that took place on Saturday, June 21, from The Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort Las Vegas.
It was actually a card that did not include many violent finishes or back-and-forth battles that can cause cumulative injuries. Accordingly, most fighters escaped their respective bouts with just minor injuries.
Here’s the complete list of injuries and their medical instructions:
Evan Tanner — The former middleweight champion is suspended August 6 because of a left eye laceration and there is no contact permitted until July 22.
Diego Sanchez — "The Nightmare" is suspended until July 22 and there is no contact permitted until July 13.
Luigi Fioravanti – The American Top Team-trained fighter must have his right knee cleared by an orthopedic doctor or he will be unable to compete until December 19. He is suspended until at least July 22 and there is no permitted until July 13.
Spencer Fisher — "The King" is suspended until July 22 and there is no contact permitted until July 13.
Matthew Riddle — He must undergo x-rays on his fifth finger and have it cleared by a doctor otherwise he will be unable to compete until December 19. He is suspended until at least July 22 and there is no contact permitted until July 13.
Josh Burkman — "The People’s Warrior" is suspended until August 6 and there is no contact permitted until July 22.
Marvin Eastman — "The Beastman" is suspended until August 21 and there is no contact permitted until August 6.
Matt Brown — The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 7 alum is suspended until at least July 22 and there is no contact permitted until July 13.
Matt Arroyo — TUF 6 alum is also suspended until at least July 22 and there is no contact permitted until July 13.
Just a quick reminder: Fighters often return to action much quicker once doctors give them the green light. The lengthy suspensions are just a precaution in most cases.

MANIA,
Check this out: Is Gary Shaw leaving soon?:
Speculation within the MMA industry suggests that Gary Shaw’s days at ProElite may be numbered. Rumors suggest that Shaw may be out by the end of the summer, possibly soon after the July 26 CBS event. Multiple sources have told MMAPayout.com that the expected move is another example of CBS’s growing influence on the company. Santa Monica Capital Partners, the largest shareholder in the company, is also believed to have taken a more active role in the company of late.
Under terms of its deal with ProElite, CBS is entitled to purchase 500,000 shares of stock in the company each time it broadcasts a show on CBS. Based on those options and warrrants already exercised in conjunction with the CBS and Showtime deals, CBS Corporation is believed to be the second largest shareholder in the company.
Earlier this year, Doug DeLuca was "promoted" from CEO to Chairman of the Board in favor of Charles Champion. That move was reportedly also at the behest of CBS and Santa Monica Partners. CBS also fast tracked EliteXC’s return to network television to July (as opposed to the October date preferred by ProElite) after reportedly selling out its commercial inventory for the 5/31 show

JOHN!!!!! WHERE YOU AT????
I was just lookin around BetUS and they have odds posted for the DREAM LW Grand Prix. I just bet on Alvarez over Kawarji and got Eddie at +110. I do NOT expect him to sit at those odds for long. Sucks that I had to tie up some money that I expect to win on Rampage, but wait, no I didnt. I bet the rest of my Free Play balance on Eddie, and I wasnt using that on Rampage.
I don’t know if you like Eddie in that fight as much as I do, but I just heard an interview, and after listening, I bet on him!!!!
Aoki is -350 against Uno.
Alvarez vs Aoki in the finals!!!!!

Eddie is Focused right now man, He will not loose to Kawajiri, and those odds are SWEET and will not last long in the USA.I will place a bet immediately! $150 on alvarez is warranted, and thats being bashful. I should bet a lot more because he wont loose, but I dont want to go too crazy, July is an action packed summer, so we got to be smart about it!

ViolentMike: I just re-watched the Kongo vs. Hearing fight and it was a close decision but I am not sure Kongo should have lost!
Hearing landed the opening punch of the fight, but Kongo DOMINATED round 1!
round 2: Kongo dominated the round, throwing Hearing around. Picking him up and slamming him. He dominated the whole 2nd round until the 1 minute and 40 seconds left in the round. Thats when Hearing started dropping BIG knees to the body of Kongo who was on the ground.
Round 3: Kongo is controlling this round. He picked hearing up again and dropped him to the mat. Then Kongo paid Hearing back with his own Knees to the body while Hearing was grounded. Kongo was winning up until there was 2:37 seconds left in the fight.
The fight wasnt a back and fourth fight. It was each fighter working in spurts. Hearing won the late parts of both the 2nd and 3 rds but I dont think he should have gotten that Decision!
It was a split decision, and the BEST judge, cecil Peoples, scored it for Kongo!

IMO Kongo won that fight… I’m taking Lesnar to beat Herring too! Call me crazy, but Lesnar will take him down and pound him out… TKO Rd 1 or 2.
