I wanna see this game have an after party feature, even through in some weigh-ins. Have different venues to scrap in..mandalay, mgm, O2, Bell Centre. It would be insane if it has anything like that, but I won’t get my hopes up. It’s sick still.

i have sampled the game so if you have any more questions i will be happy to answer.

yea I got a question, do Justin Mccully and Eddie Sanchez both suck in the game as much as they do at live events??

Wikipedia says 8-28-08 as a release date for 360 and ps3… hey sticky fingers, who is in it? how big is the roster?

I can’t wait for this game. Rushed to get the first one that came out on Xbox and was very disapointed. From the looks of this one its gonna be awesome though.

I haven’t played a video game in years, but I had the first Playstation and I remember buying the FIRST EVER UFC video game. It SUCKED!!!!!!!! You press any two buttons at the same time and you pull off a submission. I hope for the sake of all of todays gamers that the game play has significantly improved. Then again, I am talking about YEARS agol.

I totally agree Mike. The previous UFC games have been TERRIBLE. Even some of the recent ones (Tapout, Sudden Impact) have sucked IMO. But hopefully with the increased popularity of the UFC, higher public awareness, advent of Action Figures, etc. that someone has dumped a lot of money into this and produced a solid game.

I think I was the only person that loved the original UFC game, seriously my favorite fighting game of all time.

the trailer in 2007 and 6 picss in 2008 this is as about as big as danas anouncement…

i have to save money from now for the ps3, too bad they will not make this game for ps2. UFC 2009 & God of War 3 is a worthy enough reason to buy PS3
by mad_drummer on Jun 20, 2008 4:23 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I am 100% sure this game is multi-platform. So 360 users don’t have to buy a PS3. Personally, I have a PS3 80 gig and a Wii and I think they are worth a buy. To each his own though.
by El dirte on Jun 20, 2008 8:28 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
& i hope the feel of the game is more exactly as what where watching on the tv, the gameplay of UFC tapout & ufc sudden impact on PS2 is a complete crap.

Hurry up and release this game dammit, I’m sick of waiting

Since when has Forrest wore Yellow and Black trunks? It’s going to be kinda lame if you dont have sponsors on there. Maybe MMAMania on Jon Fitch’s shorts? I think so..
by "Mr. NC-17" on Jun 20, 2008 8:44 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
if their sponsors are willing to pay for their brand to be advertise on this game, they will surely put the name of sponsors in their trunks
by mad_drummer on Jun 20, 2008 9:16 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
yeah, it’s coming out for both th major consoles, so if you have a Wii, you’re outta luck

I wonder how many fighters per weight class, I hope there’s a shit load…
by O damn he got caught on Jun 20, 2008 9:08 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I am hoping for 50 fighters, 10 in each weight class.
Then 5-6 unlockables legends, and underneath that I would put like Matt Hughes, Royce Gracie, Dan Severn, Tank Abbott (seriously), Jens Pulver and so on..
You will not see Randy Couture nor Ken Shamrock in this game, for OBVIOUS reasons.

They will never be able to make this game good. There are just to many variables to account for in MMA. I highly doubt that I will be able to pull off a GOGO from mount like Aoki, or sweep from kimura to triangle. I think that this is a whole bunch of hype only for something that will be completly lackluster. Think about it, how are they going to make this work?
by IhitU.uHITfloor on Jun 20, 2008 9:37 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
the stand up will be great, just like fight night or any other boxing game. throw in the kicks and it will be a lot of fun. when it comes to the gound game it might be lame but the graphics make up for it in my opinion.
by Griffinfan05 on Jun 20, 2008 9:43 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
It will never be perfect, but it can be very good. You can’t have every possible move. No sports game has every move. You can never make an NBA game that can do all the crazy shit that a Kobe or Nash can do. But you can still make a very enjoyable game.
by Pat on Jun 20, 2008 10:13 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I agree if it goes to the ground its not going to be that convincing

God I feel old! (38) But I remember being psyched when Atari controllers got a second fire button. What are my grandkids gonna be like? Probably have holograph rooms like on f’ in star trek.
by chefdaddy on Jun 20, 2008 10:20 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
i think they’ll use a right stick combination for a freestyle shoot stick, and maybe use it to throw subs and stuff from it,and more than likely you will have a freestyle punch stick haha…
i liked the first tapout game on xbox but the 2nd one wasn’t as fun, i hope you get to pick camps and stuff too that would be even more fun

the video of the gameplay is supposed to be on the web, isn’t it?
by davlat on Jun 20, 2008 2:13 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Here’s a link to a somewhat crappy video – obviously taken in a theatre somewhere…..
by Dugout on Jun 20, 2008 3:09 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I think that they could definately be able to pull off submissions.
It would most likely be a combo of buttons though.
For instance.
(PS3)
Press R1 and swing the Right toggle.
Punch with right toggle, fight night style.
I definately see armbars n triangles possible
