Ultimate Fighter weigh in for Finale set for June 20 in Las Vegas

The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 7 Finale weigh-in event will take place this Friday, June 21, in a second floor ballroom of the Fantasy Tower at Palms Casino Resort Las Vegas, Nevada.
Doors will open open at 6 p.m. ET and fighters will likely tip the scales beginning at 7 p.m. ET. The weigh-in event is FREE and open to the public for all those in the area who want to check it out.
For the rest of us who will not be in "Sin City" this weekend we will have to wait for video highlights to appear in the multimedia section of UFC.com later in the day -- it will not be streamed live over the Internet like major pay-per-view (PPV) events.

I hope that they air Matt Brown vs. Arroyo. Brown usually comes to fight and I like Arroyo but havent seen him compete in a long time. This match up is intruiging!

Oh Sh*T! I did not realize that Matt Brown was cutting weight and fighting at 170 lbs. He couyld be a dangerous welterweighth 2 years down the road!

Actually John, before fighting on TUF, Matt Brown was basically a WW, where he fought most his fights. Some sites have him listed as only 167 lbs. Brown was submitted by Chris Lytle in his last fight before TUF, so of course it was WW.
AND as a matter of fact, Matt Brown and Matt Arroyo have fought before. They fought at RFC 7 – Night of Champions in November 2006. Brown won the fight via TKO in the 2nd round.
IF ANYONE HAS CAN FIND A LINK TO THIS FIGHT, PLEASE, OH PLEASE POST IT HERE!!!!!! Thanks, VM

Oh yeah, John, I posted this a week or two ago, but didn’t see you respond at all, cuz I put in an older thread.
BUt while CB Dalloway was attending Arizona State University he was an all american wrestler. He actually wrestled this freak of nature known as Jesse Taylor TWO times in college. CB came out victorious on both occasions.

Damn VM: THats some good intel you just passed along! Good stuff! I missed your post about CB outwrestling Jesse, which worried me. Now it doesnt look like Jesse will be fighting CB in the finals anyway.
Thanks for the intel on Matt brown as well. I had no idea. He didnt to that bad fighting at middleweight. He will probably be Nasty at welterweight.
I too would love to see the original fight between Aroyo vs. Brown!
Good stuff Mike!

I confirmed again that tomorrow episode is from 10 – 11:30 pm. Which makes me thing that we will get to see two fights.
PREDICTION: I’m still guessing that Jesse is the finalist that gets the boot for breaking the limo window because Jeremy May calls him a Jew again or something just trying to get under his skin.
I expect CB to win against Amir in the best fight of the season.
Then they will have to have another fight to determine who will take Jesses place in the finale to fight CB.
Amir has to fight Tim for a spot in the finale against CB.
Final Prediction: I’m sticking with what I’ve said since the first two episodes aired, no need to change now. CB vs Tim.

How is Tanner vs. Grove a main event. Kendall lost his last two fights by definitive first round knock outs. Tanner lost his last fight and hadn’t fought in years before that. Don’t get me wrong, I am totally looking forward to this fight but I think some more deserving fighters should be getting the limelight.

Ex UFC Camp vs. TUF Winner. Keep in mind this is a Ultimate Fighter finale, not a PPV.

Both are also A) over the hill and B) overrated.
Bad main event, no matter what the event…

Fedor vs. Tim Sylvia will be a TITLE FIGHT!!!
by john on Jun 17, 2008 11:38 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Is that the only title fight on the card or are they going to introduce other titles as well?

Only 1 so far. I think it will stay that way until the 2nd event, but I dont know. Just speculating.

Do they show a replay of the finale the same night? Gonna have to miss it live.
by RiverHorror on Jun 17, 2008 12:58 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I am pretty sure that they re-air the event later on the same night.

i hope to god that CB is booted off. i think that he was because if you watch the preview when dana says “hes off the show and out of the UFC” rampage is pissed and forrest is happy(forrest hates CB)
its a good bet i hope that asshole cb goes back to whereever the hell he came from walking the same road as gabe reudiger

Why would you hope CB gets kicked off the show? understand that you may not like his personality but he is the most talented fighter on the show, him getting kicked out would have made this season a bigger waste of time than it already has been!
Comparing Cb to Gabe cookie Monster ruediger is apples and oranges man!
YOu need to go out get yourself your very own pair of patented CB Dollaway shades, then you can feel cool like him and chill! lol

170 lbs.: Josh Burkman (9-5) vs. Dustin Hazelett (10-4)
155 lbs.: Spencer Fisher (20-4) vs. Jeremy Stephens (13-2)
Boring fights. Why would they put either of those over Dean Lister vs Jeremy Horn? To me that is a classic already.
by KneeToTheFace on Jun 17, 2008 2:06 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Lister vs. Horn is the best fight on the card and its not even going to be broadcasted…
by King on Jun 17, 2008 2:21 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
R u guys serious?
Lister is the worst mma fighter ever! He lacks toughness. He is a much better submission grappler then fighter. Gumby, I have to respect, but lets face it, he hasnt beaten anyone in a while. There wont be any punches thrown in this fight, they may have well just put this fight on the abu Dahbi card!
Hazlett could be the future of the division. He is young, high skilled, and always improving. He will finish Burkman.
I would be very angry if they didnt air the Hazlett fight!

U must not know much about mma if this is the 1st time u are agreeingf with me! lol just kidding!
whatever!
by john on Jun 17, 2008 4:49 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I never claimed Dean Lister nor Horn were at the top of their weight class or anything. And you are right, there might not be any punches thrown, but I think that’s part of what makes this a good match. Both are exceptional grapplers with a LOT of experience. I expect a submission/fight of the night.
(Dean Lister by guillotine in round one)
I agree that Hazelett is solid talent, but Josh Burkman is a can who lacks the ability to finish fights decisively and back up any of his trash talk. That alone merits the fight not worthy of a main card. Even still, though, I think this fight at least has a lot more going for it than the Spencer Fisher one.
by KneeToTheFace on Jun 17, 2008 3:34 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
idk fisher has some crazy stand up. and being that Stephens likes to stand i think it’s gonna be a sick fight. I know a lot of people are going for Hazelett on this fight as well, but Burkman’s solid, i see him as a gatekeeper. and i see this as a really tough fight for both of them. horn’s sick, and i wanna see him back up there again, but i just don’t see it happening. i really don’t like lister. he’s boring as hell, he’s gone to desision more times then burkman, and the only decent guy i know of the lister beat was Sakara, and he’s not a ground guy at all.
by shinbob on Jun 17, 2008 4:35 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Kneetotheface: my problem with the lister fight is that I dont see either fighter finishing the other. Marquadt only submitted guby cause he beat him up a little first. Lister wont be able to soften him up, so it will end up just being a grappling stalemate.
I see Hazlett submitting Burkman in highlight fashion, that is why I want to see that fight.
and I dont know about you, but besides the Frankie Edgar fight, Fisher has always had entertaining performances.
by john on Jun 17, 2008 4:51 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
toetotheface… are you kidding me. fisher vs stephens will be a stand up war until stephens knocks fisher out in round 2. fight of the night possibility. defenently knock out of the night. that fight will be way better than horn and lister.. do you even watch ufc
