I’m hoping Fioravanti lands that stiff left hook on the button and sends Diego to dream world

Agreed! Would LOVE to see Diego “Dirty” Sanchez get KO’d and prove further that he is over-rated and irrelevant!

Luigi is going to be tough. He has good wrestling skills and is a decent enough striker to go for takedowns. I am taking Luigi in an upset.

The upset I got is McLovin over Burkman. I’m sure you like that one as well Mr NC17

ViolentMike! YOu beat me to it! I love McLovin over Burkman! NO doubt that is an upset that I will wager a decent amount of money on.
As for UFC 86: THhe upset pick is Lytle over Kos…I am sure of it!
As for Diego, congrats, he is fighting a tailor made opponent. I dont see Luigi (who I am a big fan of) pulling off the upset. Luigi’s ground game is his sweet spot…tailor made for Diego.
I love Luigi, he always brings it and his fights are exciting but letrs be honest, love him or hate him, Diego has an Iron Jaw…I dont think I have ever seen him rocked, let alone KO’ed. Luigi better hope he can keep the fight standing because I dont think he can survive 2 minutes on the ground against Diego!

Not an upset at all….McLovin is a more skilled fighter

I sure hope he’s ready to dominate him. He’s -500 and I already started betting on him, because I think he will be more like -600 by the time the fight rolls around.

In other words, I not see Luigi winning this fight. No way. He only has a “punchers chance” and Diego will not allow him that. He will take him down and beat him up until Luigi can’t take anymore.

Thanks for the heads up mike! I will throw Diego in a parlay today, probably matched up with McLovin.
Cant wait to bet on CB, regardless of who he fights!

CB aint fighting, I think he’s the one getting the boot.

So did I at first but I think he broke “the NO talking to the media” rule. but it is based on pure speculation.

I think the driver wanted to speak to Forrest. Forrest agreed but only if he got to kick the driver in the head.
Thats his head going through the limo window arrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhh :) lol

I don’t know… Luigi got up from under John Fitch, thats pretty damn impressive..

Yeah but Diego hs fantastic top control. He uses his ju jitsu to get the mount and then he will drop Bombs till its over.
I cant really even give Luigi a punchers chance because Diego has an Iron Jaw. I dont ever remember him being Rocked in a fighth, let alone Ko’ed!

“I’m fast and I’m scrambly”… Can’t say I’ve ever heard someone describe themselves like that before. LOL
I can’t see how training with a Gi would help you fight without one. Wouldn’t it actually hinder your fighting since you have less to hold on to in the actual fight? I don’t know, I’m not a fighter, maybe someone can explain this theory…
by JRK on Jun 16, 2008 1:53 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Training with a gi is a terrific way to build hand and grip strength, along with power in your forearms and upper body altogether. It might not seem to make much difference, but it does. Its kind of one of those almost intangible things that you cant put a finger on. Theres often talk about the grip strength that guys like big Nog and Royce Gracie have in their hands. It helps you to control your opponents body in certain positions and when going for submissions. It can be beneficial, and I’m sure will help a guy like Diego, who’s already really good at jiujitsu without the gi.

Thanks very much for your explanation. See? Now it makes sense, I hadn’t thought about those aspects of the game. Cheers!

For anyone who can’t get the video to play. I’ll describe Diego’s responses in detail for you….“uh You know,You Know,You know,You know”…….ahhhhhhhh No we don’t know! We’d like for you to tell us.

if you thought that was bad watch a phil baroni interview =P “you know” is every other phrase…
by O damn he got caught on Jun 16, 2008 5:14 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
that was a horible reinactment lol
by WickedAwesome on Jun 16, 2008 3:40 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I would like to put a moratorium on the phrase “beat his/that ass” mostly due to the prevelant use of the word Tap in mma, and the eventual miss-phrase (probably from Wand or another Brazilian) “I’m going to TAP his ass”. Besides the only beating I’ve watched Diego put on anyone is Karo, alot of unanswered strikes from a dominant mount BUT not alot of bloody faces.
