dude, you are like 2 fight cards down the road. dont get me wrong, machida vs silva is going to be a great fight but lets not get ahead. you need to check out ufc.com and look at the fight dates.

yea that looks right. i think the headliner should be vera vs jardine, thats going to be a much better fight then the count beatin the ass out of leben. come on silva? why would you put a good fighter like bisping against a punchers chance like leben. the count overwhelms him with knees to the head and body and doesnt go past 2:30 0f the 2nd.

This card is getting better by the day. I’m really looking forward to seeing Dan Hardy competing at the level he belongs. Can Silva manage to get Machida to actually engage? or will that match be another one for the judges decision?

Nice card. I’m gonna point out the obvious, Machida and Silva at 185….That sure would make mix up the middleweight division, too bad it would never happen.

bisping vs. leben
machida vs. silva
alves vs. sanchez
sokoudjou vs. cane
gono vs. hardy
carwin vs. wain
stout vs. etim
davis vs. kelly
it’d be nice to see all these on the main card.

machida should be the champion by now

You’ll change your tune once Thiago beats him. Machida will be handed his first loss at UFC 89.

many possible Fight of the Nights or Fight of the Years here. great card. especially for free. even if it wasnt, it’d still be worth 40 bucks.

Can I see the other 2 figths ( sanchez – alves ) or ( machida – silva ) as the main event plz ! LOL is there anyway that they can do that ? Cause I’m gonna be hyped for all the other fights EXCEPT the main event, first time that has ever happened I think.

they should call it UFC 89: “Undefeated” and make machida vs thiago the headliner, but what do i know
by doug maps on Jul 17, 2008 8:52 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
i think machida vs thiago should be the main event

its also being reported on several other sites that there could be a title shot added to this card (a.silva/cote perhapas). is the spider is added, the ratings could go thru the roof. sat ufn peaked at 4.6 mil and it kinda sucked. just think what a ppv like card will do.
by b.w. on Jul 23, 2008 3:08 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
could we see perhaps 10 million viewers provided Spike actually advertises a little bit more in advance? The card would certainly be worth it if Silva/Cote is added and you have Bisping/Leben, Vera/Jardine, Soko/Cane, Davis/Kelly and hopefully a 6th fight on the main card with Lytle/Taylor.
by Anthony on Jul 23, 2008 4:55 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
oh yes this card is going to be off the chain.i dont think the bisping fight should be the main event thow if silva vs cote was on there that would make the card complete. im going anyways.ps cant wait to see joe rogan again on the friday night rock on.
by mike mma fan on Jul 24, 2008 7:17 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
just watch
the silva fight might be on but if so they will pull the vera vs jardine fight and macida vs silva fight from you
with the numbers silva brought in on fight night they don’t need those guys
silva vs cote
kelly vs davis
bisping vs leban
hardy vs gono
and sokou vs cane
or take away sokou match and keep silva vs machida bout
just watch

Yeah because it would make a lot of sense to throw Anderson Silva, the biggest pull in the UFC, onto a free card to defend his title..in London. Sounds pretty ridiculous actually. Not gonna happen man.

I am not complaining, but I wonder why the events in England are shown for free? Is there some legal restriction that keeps the UFC from charging for them on PPV?

This card doesn’t seem to great, in which case I’m glad it’s free. Jardine will get ko’ed again, Silva vs. Machida will we a marathon, and Leben might get ko’ed or we will ko Bisping?

Hell ya…thiago silva will be the next 205 belt holder. What an incredible match up. these cards are getting insane. love it.
by Mike on Aug 23, 2008 10:02 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Thiago Silva will be the next 205 belt holder if he beats machida…..which he will. Man he’s lethal. How this isn’t the main event i’ll never know. Bisbing and leben should be a main event on a free ufc fight night at best. PS jardine’s gonna get handled by vera.
by Mike on Aug 23, 2008 9:55 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Call me crazy but i think Jardine will pull out the win
by braveheart on Sep 11, 2008 3:02 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Machida is a good runner so I think he will escape the attacks of the stronger Thiago. I think I’ve seen a little version of this fight in the Florian-Huerta fight, in which Florian runs and wins against Huerta.
Machida’s win can give him the title shot, for which Griffin-Machida will be one hell of a fight…and we will have once more the familiar opening remarks of Mike Goldberg “The fight we’ve waited all our lives!”

The main event………..very very interesting….both of these guys was on the ufc show…and made it even bigger….Leben very crazy fighter…known for his stand up knockout power…also have some skills on the ground but bisping ground and pound is crazy…bisping is also very good stand up fighter but I will give leban the edge…how ever….leban gets kind of crazy standing up that bisping can do reshad evan vs chuck liddel all over again…both of them are my favorite fighters…peace..

WAR LEBEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by belfort_fan on Sep 22, 2008 10:05 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
we all know that bisping will dominate leban and maybe ko him in the first round and vera will beat jardine but jardine just came off a big loss so he is gonna be focussed. silva will lay a smashin on layato. loayoto is the worlds most boring fighter.
COME ON BISPING
