Elite XC weigh-in results for 'Return of the King' on Showtime
Elite XC: "Return of the King" at the Blaisdell Arena in Honolulu, Hawaii, is set for tomorrow (June 14), airing LIVE on premium cable network Showtime at 10 p.m. ET.
Fighters today all tipped the scales for the event and here are the results:
KJ Noons (160) vs. Yves Edwards (158.5)
Nick Diaz (169) vs. Muhsin Corbbrey (163.5)
Murilo "Ninja" Rua (184) vs. Tony Bonello (185)
Dave "Pee Wee" Herman (243.5) vs. Ron Waterman (263)
Rafael Feijao (205) vs. Wayne Cole (204)
Kala Kolohe (186) vs. Bubba McDaniel (184.5)
Kepa Madeiros (171.5) vs. Carl Barton (183)
Russell Doane (135) vs. Dwayne Haney (133.5)
PJ Dean (160.5) vs. Dean Lista (160)
Lolohea Mahe (260) vs. Chris Barnard (232.5)
Kaleo Kwan (160) vs. Mike Aina (160)
Mark Oshiro (140.5) vs. Chris "Red Bull" Willems (141.5)
Diaz -- a 160-pound lightweight -- was unable to hit the target, coming in eight pounds over the limit. However, he able to negotiate a catchweight of 168 pounds with his opponent prior to stepping on the scale.
He will likely have a percentage of his purse garnished and tacked on to Corbbrey's paycheck.
MMAmania.com will provide complete results and coverage of the event tomorrow evening -- it's solid line up of mixed martial arts competition.
Don't miss it ... but if you do you know where to get the skinny.

Is a catchweight at 168 … not sure of the reason.

Probably because Diaz needs to be a little heavier for his title shot against Sakurai in a couple of weeks.

that is most likely the reason.
I can’t wait until Yves shows Noons what MMa is all about..Too bad Diaz wasn’t himself before, or that punk Noons would already know…
Ninja’s fight should be alright too..Not a huge fan, but I hope he does well this time around…
It should be an all around decent night of fights(for EXC)..
WAR DIAZ!

I find it funny that there is a fighter named Dean Lista. Nothing really to say about it, just an observation.

I felt sorry for Scott Smith in that interview. That was like pulling teeth for him to even get the guy to talk. Dean Lista definitely needs to work on his self-promotion skills.

These weights are crazy. The only ones I can pull out of these weights are LHW and HW. Whats the LW weight-limit at EXC?

I’m a gig diax fan, but if it was suposed to be 160 lbs. that is pretty busch league.

I don’t like Diaz at all. Those brothers have skills but they’re both dumb as all hell.
9 pounds over the weight limit is inexcusable.
Why is Nate fighting in these minor leagues anyway.

Yeah I dunno. Perhaps the locals and promoters know something we don’t.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen fighters weigh-in like that. Not even the ICON SPORT fights are/were like that. I’m not sure how many peeps will be there tomorrow night but the tickets were kinda pricey (I bet not anything close to a UFC event though).

I’m torn. On one hand I want the inevitable to happen and watch Yves destroy Noons simply because Noons is extremely arrogant and pretty much unimpressive. On the other I want him to get lucky and pull of the win just so I could hear the bullshit that comes out of his mouth after he tries to duck Diaz again, it’s gonna happen.
Noons is a scared little boy.

daiz fought 3 weeks ago in japan or somewhere. that is why he didn’t make the weight. noons, his family & training team are punks. Noons is so over-rated & it said his 5 wins in mma are all by ko. but the diaz fight was stopped because of a cut that didn’t look bad at all. elitexc SUCKS major ass. no wonder mario is a ref there they suck and so does he. i’ll only want to watch the rematch between noons’s punk ass and daiz. GO DAIZ GO!!!!!!
