Jason Day 'Count' down to 'Dooms' day Michael Bisping UFC 85 fight (Part V)

It is the day before weigh ins for my middleweight bout with Michael Bisping at UFC 85: "Bedlam" at the O2 Arena in London, England, on Saturday, June 7.
I am just relaxing and getting ready to cut weight in the morning.
So far it has been a smooth trip. The time change is still taking its toll on me, but I am adjusting slowly and I think I will feel just fine on fight night.
The British media, unsurprisingly, seem very interested in this fight. And the fans out here have been very polite and wishing me the best of luck against their fellow countryman.
I had the pleasure of attending my first UFC press conference today and I enjoyed the experience fielding questions and posing for photos.
In addition, I met Bisping for the first time today and he was very polite and respectful. I think we both agree that this has the potential to be a war. One reporter pointed out that 16 of my 17 wins have come via (technical) knockout or submission and the fact that Bisping has never been finished before.
It is an interesting observation.
Tomorrow will be the longest day. It seems like the day of the weigh ins drags on forever. My weight is right on track and my confidence is high right now. I cant 't wait to finally step into the Octagon on Saturday night.
This is by far my biggest opportunity and biggest fight to date and I plan on taking full advantage of it.
I want to thank everyone who helped me get ready for this fight such as my coaches Lee Mein, Justin Tavernini, Kenny Seaman, Tanya Lee and Eric Deguzman, as well as all my teammates at the Canadian Martial Arts Center.
I will put on one hell of a show on Saturday and thanks to everyone who has been following my blogs here at MMAmania.com.
Keep grindin!
Jason Day is a top Canadian mixed martial artist who was successful in his Octagon debut against Alan Belcher at UFC 83: "Serra vs. St. Pierre 2" on April 19. UFC President Dana White referred to his performance that night as "amazing" and has rewarded him with a high profile fight against The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) 3 light heavyweight winner, Michael Bisping. Day is on a red hot five-fight win streak, which he will put on the line against "The Count" at UFC 85: "Bedlam" at the O2 Arena in London, England, on June 7. He'll detail his preparation for the bout right here at MMAmania.com with frequent updates. He would like to thank his sponsors Hardcor Fightwear & Apparel and BodyArt Fitness. Cant go against Bispinmg, I am a big bisping fan. I like Doomsday (what I have seen of him) and I admit he will be a tough test but I am not ready to pick against the Count.
As for my bets, I will probably throw some money on Doomsday because the odds are so good
Yesterday I read that Wanderlei’s next opponent could be Rashad Evans, and with a win, wandy will fight for the title….Not so sure how credible of a source this was….But I figure I pass the news along.

silva and Rashad could be real interesting. A great test for both. I doubt if Rashad could slow the pace and lay ’n pray like he tends to do. Could be Wandy puts him to sleep?

If Bisping does take this, who do you think his next will be? I don’t hate the guy, just the hype and the blind following of fans. I really want him to start calling people out. He’s not ready for Franklin by a long shot, but I’d love to see that fight.

Ifd Bisping wins, his next fight should be against the winner of Marquardt/Leites

Day takes this one via decision after an all out war. I think Day has better footwork and I think he’ll frustrate Bisping in many ways. The biggest thing to avoid for Day is the knees of Bisping as we saw with Tupperware.
