gotta admit, although miguel torres wasn’t as “crisp” as his other fights, he’s still a badass champion; always there to entertain and give us an exciting fight!!!

This was one of the best fights I’ve ever seen in MMA, next to Deigo vs. Karo. Those 135lbs dudes can go for ever! I was amazed by the abuse they gave each other during that fight with great ground game to top off the stand up. I will watch this fight again and again.

Torres will hold onto that 135 strap for awhile, He is very dominate from on his feet or on the ground. His skills are outrageous. Not to mention kid is only 27.

The last two fights on the WEC card further illustrated how pathetic the EliteXC card was (at least if you’re a member of the reality based community). Faber and Torres are awesome. The WEC is definitely the #2 organization in North America.

Not only is Torres a badass fighter, but he is well educated (graduated from Purdue University) and has a humanitarian streak. I’m looking forward to the WEC’s August 9th card.

Torres fights on total skill and determination… he’s not very strong, but he’s relentless and smart.

Great points – plus he’s very savvy and cool headed.

It was crazy when they both had each other in the leg locks.

I think Maeda took the first two rounds. He frustrated Torres right off the bat, and it showed, he admitted it. I was there and could see it. Maeda did not quit and pushed the pace and pressured Torres. Torres took the third round, which caused Maeda’s eye to close. I knew he wasn’t gonna leave his corner at the end of the third, that eyes was shut tight. I was in attendance, and the energy in ARco was enormous!!!!!! I’m looking fwd to Torres/ Maeda II !!!

Imagine if this was one of the fights that was aired on CBS. right now we would have been talking about the breakout of MMA into mainstream. but thanks to bimbo and elite xc we have clearly taken 5 steps back

This was a great event!! Hey mania, do you need someone in the bay area to cover san jose and sacramento events? I love to write, am a huge fan and very impartial??

This event was great. The pulver/faber fight and this one as well, I was very impressed. I wish more people got to see these fights because this is what MMA is all about. The respect of the fighters, the way they handled themselves before and after the fight, and the show they put on. It sucks that for the first mainstream event we had to see the Elite XC show.
I can’t say that the entire event was terrible because I was impressed with Scott Smith and Robbie Lawler. Other then that fight it was disappointing to say the least.
