UFC 84 bonuses and awards for 'Ill Will' fights

UFC 84: "Ill Will" is in the books, raking in $3.7 million at the MGM Grand Garden Arena gate in Las Vegas, Nevada, on May 24, thanks to a reported 14,774 fans filling the venue.
Some of that cash was used to reward several fighters with $75,000 each for their impressive performances inside the Octagon.
Here are the "Ill Will" post-fight bonuses:
Fight of the Night -- Goran Reljic and Wilson Gouveia, which Reljic won with a come-from-behind knockout in round two.
Knockout of the Night -- Wanderlei Silva. Was there any doubt about this one? He came out guns blazing and floored a very tough (and much bigger) Keith Jardine just 36 seconds into round one. "The Axe Murderer" is back.
Submission of the Night -- Rousimar Palhares got the nod with a picture perfect submission (armbar) over a very crafty and experienced opponent, Ivan Salaverry. Not too shabby for the Octagon newcomer.
MMAmania.com will pass along the fighter salaries as soon as the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) makes them available. For UFC 84 results and fight-by-fight coverage click here.

I’d give everyone who steps into the octagon a bonus… if Tito had pulled off the triangle Dana would have ate the bonus cheque.

Dana said at the post fight that Shane Carwin had KO of the night until Wanderlei walked into the cage. He did add that Carwin would be compensated for his KO. I guess if you finish the fight, you get a bonus. Great KOs by both fighters.

Anyone watch King of the Cage last night? There was a crazy double KO in the main event! lol One guy went down because when he dropped the other guy, the limp body just fell into him and thier heads clashed. He didn’t go out like the guy who got punched, but he was holding his face and kicking his legs, lol. Then he tapped and waved his hands like “no more!” Ended up being a no contest.

Wanderlei Silva was just straight brutal. I would be scared to be his next opponent.

I would love to see Wanderlei vs. Machida and the winner takes on the winner of Rampage vs. Griffin… that’ll be sweet.

just one boring fight on the whole PPV. what an awesome night of fights. to bad lyoto’s running kept it from being a perfect night of fights. i though Carwin should have got KO of the night.also Thiago vs. Mendes should have garnered consideration for fight of the night.but IMO any fight that ends before it goes to the judges deserves some kind of bonus.
