Wandi better stop trying to please the crowd and start winning again.
by Ktown on May 21, 2008 2:38 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I hear ya. I just hope that nobody pulls some crazy stuff out like the last Kongo fight where he kept taking Herring down and it was boring as heck. This is the fight that I’m looking forward to most on the card.

Wandy is gonna get him in the clinch and put a couple knee’s to Jardine’s face that will end the fight..

Hey Mania,
you gotta love that comment that wandy made towards the beginning of last nights countdown to UFC 84…Wandy said something like:
“Before the fight starts, I stare at my opponent, I start shaking…I go Crazy”!!! That gave me goosebumps.
No fighter gets me amped up before a fight like wanderlei…I really hope he beats Jardine.

I love the way BJ use to run to the ring, and when he gets there he slapps the shit out of himself while he stares down his opponent!! I love fighters like BJ and Wandi, crazy SOBs!!

I hope we get some of that undercard action to!!! I cant wait, some tito/Lyotto . . . some wilson/whoever . . . some wandi/jardine . . . some BJPENNNNNNNN/sherk . . . and maybe some war machine or some soko!!! Could be bayond epic and the KO possibilities are outstanding . . . This card could top UFC80 for best of the year! UFC80 was amazing 10 KOs (one very unexpected TKO of Gonzaga!) and a boody mess of a sub by BJ!!!

I see this one starting off well for Jardine, countering Wandy. But sooner or later, Wandy will get Keith in a MT and finish him. Keith didn’t do so well in the clinch against Houston, and he won’s fare any better against Wandy.
by Pat on May 21, 2008 3:09 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Wandy needs to press Jardine hard, right from the bell. If stays to the outside and waits he will get picked apart. Wandy tried that against Chuck and look what happened. Wandy has to close the gap with relentless attack and he will dominate. Houston showed a weakness of Jardine’s when he rushed him, yes he did get caught on the way in but once he closed the gap Jardine had no answer for his onslaught. This is Wandy’s style anyhow, it should not be a problem for him.

There is nothing not to like about Wandy.

Even when he loses its exciting . . . See Wandi/Belfort to see what im talking about, dude gets dropped on the serious note!!!! And it was awesome!!

Yep, you gotta love and respect the guy. If he can close the distance with Jardine, look out!

Hey Mania I guess we’ll get your predictions pretty soon right!
BJ TKO
Wanderlei KO (could go either way, War Wandi!)
Machida TKO (Don’t see Tito getting knocked out with that huge ass head of his,LOL.)
Thiago Silva TKO
Gouveia Submission
Sokoudjou KO(Hopefully they show this fight, maybe if the others are short enough!)
Clementi Submission
The rest, Who Cares?

I liked last night’s countdown. It made me feel a little more secure with my bets. I gotta go with Wandi cause I think he’ll put the pressure on Jardine which I think Jardine excells more in a slow paced fight. I also pick Sherk to win because I think his conditioning will come into play in the later rounds and will overwhelm BJ. I also pick Lyoto to win just because he’s bad ass. Did anyone else notice Tito saying I have nothing to lose during this fight? It then went to commercial break, came back and he then says he was challenged by Dana White and fights his best when he has everything to lose and Lyoto is going to get hurt because of it. I cant help but laugh at Tito everytime I hear him talk. I know he is trying to be a role model and be a good guy, but he is in love with himself and his ego just makes him look ridiculous.

c-war – you’re exactly right! I noticed the same thing. He really is in love with himself.

only 3 more days ,can’t wait to see the Axe Murderer vs. the Dean of Mean. I’m starting to lean towards Silva in this fight. Keith’s unusual stance is gonna got him in trouble against Wanderlei. as soon as he gets in close BAM down goes Jardine.but who knows i keep changing my mind every day. this is too close to call , not gonna bet on this fight.

BJ’s coming to the ring with a shotgun for a fist and a pocket full-a-shells!!!
by ( (Adam G) ) on May 21, 2008 4:06 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
You hear that Sherk? Wandy is taking his suppliments not sticking a needle in his ass, LOL! War Wanderlei, War BJ!

“Wand wants an exciting fight”… all I gotta say is if you go kick some a$$, it’ll be exciting regardless. But the only problem is dropping Jardine. I don’t think he can. He don’t push 400+ like HouA. Greg Jackson & Quazimoto will be ready for old Wand and I see the hunchback taking this 1. Wand is expired milk curd cheese.

I expect Wandi to come full force. I think he was a little timid with Chuck and was somewhat dissapointed. I dont see Wandi letting this get past the first round.

One word to explain Wandy.. Class.
He is pure class and entertaining and thats why he’s one of my favorite fighters.

It’s hard to say if either one of these guys could stop Rampage at this point, but I’d love to see this Wandi vs this Rampage. WAR WANDI

I like that he gives Jardine his dues. Wandi aint stupid, he stop leg kicks with the force and slice Jardine in half with a lifesaver style strike to the gut! But realisticly, win jardine will!
by ( (Adam G) ) on May 21, 2008 6:07 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
i think wandi should finish jardine in a similar fashion as houston alexander

All questions about Wandy will be answered.
Watch him roll his wrists pre-fight.
He had a lot of fun with the Chuck fight… he was prepared. That fight both guys had years of mental prep.
Watch the tape…Wandy was glad to be there but didn’t look like a killer.
If i see him rolling his wrist with gusto…poor Jardine.
I am dead serious.. watch him roll his wrists prefight.

This will be the best fight of the night. I luv Wandy, I hope he wins not for my sake but for his own, he deserves a break and win. For his own mental state, 3 losses in a row I don;t care even if Wandy says he doesn’t mind if he loses once he puts on a good show, I believe that but still it has to upset him mentally that he has lost his last 3 fights even if they were top 3 fighters around. Jardine I have much respect, that guy is tough and always goes out to bang, he is a likeable guy. He out smarted Chuck and I have yet to see anyone do that. So tough fight for Wand, either way he will drop division, but for his own mental state he needs a win. I agree with many, he needs to get in close and bang, come out at the start fast into his face. If it goes on a bit I see Jardine taking him down and gnp Wand, wand may have bb in bj but I have never seen him do much from there (Not that he has been there alot wither) but he has no takedown defense. Maybe though it has much improved training with Randy but who knows, stick to what you know best and get in close, clinch and bang. Prediction Wand KO RD 1, if it goes further than RD 1 I see Jardine win RD 3 TKO. BEst of luck to both guys, no matter what it will be the fight of the night thats one thing that we can all be certain of.

He loves a stand up battle because “it’s good for the fans, it’s more emotional.” I love it.

Wandy’s gonna put on a good show again.
And LOSE.

Yeah, I don’t know if Wandi can beat the Wizard. I can just see Jardine throwing on a robe and yelling at Wandi, “You shall not pass!”
