Nate Diaz is the man. He’s got a lot of skill and heart. Josh Neer seems to be able to overcome skill differences with his heart. He beat the shit out of Joe Stevenson after Stevenson already damaged Neer’s leg and we know Nate has now here near the power of Stevenson. Neer will have to be careful. It will be a Neer decision or a Diaz submission.

I heard about this on a local radio show about a week ago. Can’t wait! This will be my first live UFC event, I’m pumped that I’ll get to see Nate Diaz and hometomwn boy Houston. I wonder what the main event will be…

Yes, Neer and Diaz is a great matchup. Neer had a great fight losing to Diaz’s older brother Nick. I think now that hes come down a weight class, that makes him a big 155er. He has a good chance of winning this fight, but Nate has been looking really good so far, and I think he will win this fight by sub. I love how they are not rushing Nate diaz to a title shot. Hopefully, his next fight is Tyson Griffin ,and then maybe a #1 contender fight or title fight.
The other 2 confirmed bouts are gonna be good fights as well. Everyone except schafer is coming off a loss. I think its do or die for Houston Alexander. Hopefully, they finish up the card nicely.

Actually Neer needs to be cut or hurt badly to fight well. So I dont think Diaz is going to hurt him enough to lose…. Diaz submission or the night round 1 with additude( middle fingers)

THANK GOD!
i have been waiting for years and now I will finally be able to make it to a UFC event. Omaha here I come!
I think this is going to be huge! There are alot of MMA fans in the midwest so this is a smart move and hopefully the first of many

has anyone seen how much tickets are ganna be
by BigSmoke on Jun 16, 2008 1:03 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Ticket prices haven’t been released. It hasn’t been officially announced yet on ticketmaster or UFC.com. I would imagine they wouldn’t be as bad as a normal UFC fight. The civic tickets are usually cheaper than the Qwest and this is a free even on SPIKE. Either way, I am looking forward to it. Clay Guida is a freaking maniac, I think its a good test for Danzig.

Tickets start @ $35.00. Went to the fight at Broomfield and tickets were about the same price!

The Guida Danzig fight should be a war. I feel Guida will pull off another spectacular win. Hopefully putting him back in the title hunt.

Danzig vs Diaz should be the main event of this card… they are both on it but not fighting each other? TUF winner vs TUF winner would be a big draw… maybe if they both win it will happen!!

Yeah jb I somewhat agree with you, Melvin open up Neer BADLY in their fight and Neer ended up catching Melvin in a triangle. He has got some good wins, that and the fact I despise Diaz (both for that matter) will have me pulling for the Dentist!

Good card I think Neer will have trouble with Diaz on the driund as we all jnow the ground skills Diaz has. The Herman Belcher fight is going to be alot like Herman’s fight at UFC 72 against Scoot Smith, with a simmilar result Herman by submission late 1st early 2nd. Belcher will want this fight standing and Ed has better Clinch,Wrestling and Subs so it looks bleek for Belcher.

I really wish they would put more fighters who are not from the midwest or Omaha on this card. I never really get why they do that and maybe I see this differently than most. I can or have already seen the local guys fight on local shows and really don’t want to see them again. I would prefer to see guys fight that I don’t get a chance or have never gotten the chance to see fight. I have no desire to see Jensen or Brilz fight and personally think those two and Houston will get beat in their respective fights.

I’ve been watching mac danzig ever since he was lightweight champ in king of the cage. That was too easy for him. Then he vanished and turns up on the ultimate fighter reality show and walks through that no problem too… I really cant see him losing to guida…Clay is top notch, i think if he was smart he could have finished huerta but he let him recover. Anyway danzig will be close to a title shot, him and bj penn. SICKK
