This is good news, I will pick up the 360 version on release. I hope the online play is up to scratch too, this could be a whole lot of fun over xbox live.
 
If the game is a hit the already growing popularity of the UFC will skyrocket a la Tony Hawks Pro Skater catalysing the boom in the skateboard industry.

Also hope Chris Leben is a playable character – just walk forward with taking punches and throw the left.

I heard they are adding Kimbo Slice and Ken Shamrock to the game.

This game is probably going to be THE reason for me to dish out money to get a 360. And I’d gladly do it.

I’ve been waiting of this game since before the first trailer was out.

The first trailer is superb though it’ll be nice to get more clips when possible.

Personally I think the game will be released late this year.

Everyone that thinks fighters like Kimbo and Fedor will join this title are morons (not saying anyone here for real thinks so, though I’ve seen it elsewhere), fighters never signed with the UFC wont be in this game.

I hate to break it to you but that video is just a “cut scene” there’s not way that the actual game play will look anywhere near that good or anywhere near that motion-fluid. For we know right now the game play is going to look about as bad as Mike Tyson’s Punch Out or something.

This game is going to be tough. Period. Its going to be hard to catch people in a submission whenever, and yet I bet you money, you will be put in a submission faster than you can say Kalib Starnes.

I say, let them take 5 more years if it means the game will be that much better. And as for who’s going to be in the game, they better have all title holders and anyone who’s in line to get at that title at least. To not have the title holders would be a big mistake. Do you guys think that they will have both downloadable content, which damn near every game has now, and a create-a-fighter feature. Seems logical they would because that is a basic part of all sports games now. Would be cool to make yourself, then the best fighters not in UFC.

This game is going to be pure button mashing. You get a hold on the ground and you have to (PS3) press x like a mad man to lock it in while your boy is pressing o to escape.

I think the game will be out sooner then 2009~ there will be all the title holders & big name fighters. i wouldnt be surprized if Dana puts Couture in the game to get his money worth since He wont fight his final 2 fights. Liddell,Rampage,Forrest,Daddy steveson,micheal buffer,Big John, Anderson Silva and Marc Lamon. i am willing to bet that all these people will be on the game! Well,I know the game is goin to be awsome and I cant wait to get it but it comes out Dec. 31st.
I looked at an idea roster from IGN and they had Dustin Hazelett and Brock Lesnar on there.
The reason for Dustin is because I am from Louisa Kentucky and that is where he is from although he fights out of OH. The reason for Brock is not only because he is from WWE but because he is the most dominate guy Ive ever seen. He takes everyone down way to easy and he has the strongest punch probably in the UFC. He made Heath Herring do a backflip enough said.

There are going to be minimum of 50 fighters in this game. And obviously Chuck and Couture will be in it. They are both legends in this sport. And you might as well expect every single superstar that went through Ultimate Fighter series.. well at least from the first 3 seasons. All the champions that were in UFC WILL BE ON IT.Just like the WWE franchise there will be Legends to unlock. Tank Abbott is probably going to be one of them (from his good days). Shamrock OBVIOUSLY !!! No doubt about it !! This game will never get boring. Im pretty sure there will be a story mode just like in WWE. 100% like the ULTIMATE FIGHTER where your at the house and training and beef going on, everyweek one fight and weigh ins. IT HAS TO BE !! and then from there you move to actual UFC rooster and start competing to the number one spot. Just like the actual fighters i hope that they can fight in two different divisions. Cut weight so they can attain two belts. THAT WOULD BE AWESOME !!!

Brock Lesnar might be added to the rooster .. well he is the new heavy weight champion of the world and knocked out Randy in the second round.. ugly hammer fists at the end but they probably do hurt. Biggest hands in UFC !!!! He had to have specially made gloves for him.. ridiculous. He might even be able to f5 someone in the ring hahaha. Maybe ufc rings breaks just like it did with Brock and BigShow haha.

The game will be quite exciting. THQ knows what they are doing. And with the rooster constantly changing and the conflicts there are with Affliction and Pride. Hard for the THQ to keep up and thats probably why they are taking so long.

I will be using Anderson SPIDER SILVA!!! and GSP and my new favorite KENNY FLORIAN!! 205 has to many good fighters so I would play with all of them haha. For Heavyweight I would create a fighter FEDOR EMELIENKO and dominate everyone.

Ive heard many bad review from game critics but that shouldnt come as a surprise to anyone. So called game critcis or gamers all give pretty much the same critique for just about every game aside from the 2 or 3 blockbuster games that come out every year and get all the glory. I am no game nerd but I am a huge MMA fan and I cant wait for this game to be released. I am buying the xbox 360 just for this reason. Now my expectations are not very high and as long as the game comes with decent gameplay functions so as to make the game realistic then I will be happy. If the game is such that I can go into the cage, get into the clinch, slam my opponent on the floor and submit him with ease then I will be disappointed. The biggest thing Im looking for is a challenge. Things such as sprawling against takedowns, positioning while in the guard, being able to pass guard etc. The little things that will make the game realistic are what Im excited about. I know the striking will probably be less fluid than I want but as long as the little things are there then I think this game will be a hit. Especially amongst REAL mma fans who like to play the occasional video game.
