Randy Couture predictions for UFC 83 Matt Serra vs. Georges St. Pierre (Video)
To check out the rest of his predictions click here. He now apparently charges a fee to hear them all, which will also get you access to all of the other videos on the site.
Unsure how well that will go over, Randy.

Randy greedy??? Guess he has to make-up for the money he walked away from in the UFC…who knows he might make $1 million picking fights?
by mark on Apr 15, 2008 10:28 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
I can’t believe he’s going to be making money off his fight picks now. lol That really is something.
by Toms Bombs on Apr 15, 2008 10:30 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
seriously? Pay to see his picks? I’m going to his pre-party on the 18th in Montreal, I think I’ll just ask him there. :)

This is such BS.. I went to the website and Randy is asking us to PAY to watch rest of the footage for $29/mo. Have you heard of anything this retarded? He is too obsessed with money.

Unless he gets his fight with Fedor, I may never pay to see Randy do anything ever again.
Captain “Greed” to the rescue!!

I think I too am done with Randy. He runs from good fights against stars like Nogueira and Vera and then charges people just so he can say… “I… um…. I…. think that GSP will win the fight against….um…. Matt Serra…. by….. um… flying omoplata.”
Get real Randy.
by UFC 85 on Apr 15, 2008 10:44 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
WOW that was a waste of 90 seconds…Hey guys, I’m loving the hate!! All I’m saying is I think Serra will win this fight, if GSP wins, as long as it’s a good fight, that won’t bother me. You guys think you’re giving it to me, my wife is a huge GSP fan and is really getting sick of me saying Serra will win. I appreciate all the feed back yesterday, and learned a few things, thanks guys, thats why I come here.
by kevin on Apr 15, 2008 10:47 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Well, at least Kevin doesn’t charge for his prediction. Ha, Ha, c’mon man, I know, Serra (like anyone else) has a chance… but that’s a very very small chance.
It will be GSP by a monster TKO. Oh yeah…Randy seems desperate!

thats great man, nope, I’ll give my predictions for free, lol!! not too many on this card worth predicting though, Lutter, Bisping, Serra. My wife says I’ll go 2/3, but that makes me money

I dont need his predictions anyway, I dont really ever pick more than 3 wrong fights on any given event and I am usually GREAT at predicting upsets so, I am sure I will be fine without him….Senile OLD BAT!!!

I guess his GI foundation is all greed too right. Having poker tournaments for charities is not something I would call greed. Shit, if I could make money off of my predictions I would do it and you know you would too so why should Randy be looked at so differently. No matter how rich you are you can never be too rich right? Fedor wanting two million a fight is GREED and Randy having a little side hustle is not. If he was greedy he would have finished his contract and got every penny he could get out of the UFC.

Randy turned out to be anything but Captain America. Id like to see him fight Chuck Liddell once more before he retires, so that way we can ensure a beat down.
by c-war on Apr 15, 2008 11:53 AM EDT reply actions 0 recs
Chuck has kind of fallen off at his older age and Randy has gotten better so I think Randy could beat Chuck right now. This is not the Chuck of old and it is not the Randy of old so it’s hard to say who would win.

Shame on the lot of you. Randy is a businessman now, not an MMA fighter. AND, like it or not, he may have learned a thing or two about milking whatever he can whenever he can from one of the best in the business- Mr. Dana “Show me the Money or get outta my Face cuz I’m the Sh*t” White. Randy just realized that taking the moral high ground doesn’t pay.
by SeeRed on Apr 15, 2008 12:07 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
The point of the moral high ground is to realize that it isn’t about profit, it’s about character and respect—things Randy used to talk a lot about.

Don’t you get it? We hate Randy Couture. Plain and simple. You think you can leave the UFC, with the intentions of fighting Fedor, and have Dana White have Nog call you out, and not have everyone on the internet hate you for not going back to the UFC, and not fight Fedor? I don’t think so.

Corporate America, I mean Captain America has to be striking last nerves everywhere. This just actually made me disgusted. Wow this guy trying to have the whitest collar in the ring. Lets me see If I can put my name and brand on everything. I understand business and love business and it is great to see someone do well for themselves but at what expense. When you go from being a fan favorite, about just being the best, to being the guy who has the fattest pockets in the ring. If Randy fights Fedor I say Randy wins by his Coprporate submission…This dude needs to get a grip

Randy’s still the man! – the John Madden of mma, living legend, current UFC hall of famer. Doesn’t mean I’m buying his predictions. That is one of the stupidest ideas i ever heard of. but people love to put dirt on his name and flip flop on him so much. Watch how many people’s going to be on his sack again when he walks in against Fedor or better yet when the ring announcer introduces him! All he needs to do is stick to the script and wait for Fedor to become available cuz the fight WILL HAPPEN eventually, and he’s already getting fokt legally anyways. The cards are delt, now he just needs to play out the hand and see how good it is. It should be a sweet end to his legacy after he gets the Fedor win.

randy has hit an all time low w/ this one. charging for fight picks, thats almost as bad as sylvia charging for autographs. i hope randy doesnt sink that low.

I knew this guy was money hungry but i didnt think he was this desperate. He should just man up and fight nog. Because of right now i dont think he even deserves a shot at fedor who has he beaten? Nog has beaten the best of the best and has a very impressive record (31-4). Nog has beat sylvia, herring, barnett, werdum, henderson, cro cop, ricco rodriguez, coleman, goodridge, and jeremy horn. Randy(16-8) has beat Sylvia, liddell(one out three),belfort,Tito, Horn,Rizzo, and maurice smith. Randy also lost to Ricco Rodriguez and josh barnett. And Randy thinks he is more accomplished then nog what jokester randy is!! LOL

….I’ll pay to see all of Randy’s picks. Randys about business, and i understand. And you have to admit, his brakedowns and educated guesses of fights are usually amusing and accurate..So just pay for them, and give him a brake..You all are probably right, hes losing money and has to make it back other ways. So what, i’ll pay for it…

See this is what makes me angry:
After the UFC failed to sign Fedor, everyone and their brother took Randy’s side over Dana White’s in their heated legal battle. People were so quick to think that Randy was screwed over by the UFC, when in fact, they treated him like a king. The UFC built “Captain America”. He would not be filming movies, establishing clothing companies, and I know his Gym wouldn’t have the credibility that it has now. The UFC enabled him to become a star, and in that he will have a much easier time making $$$ outside of the octagon. Randy is a great fighter, a legend/hall of famer, but something got to him. Think about it.
by pUniSHment on Apr 15, 2008 6:35 PM EDT reply actions 0 recs
you’re right. mostly everybody did in fact take Randy’s side automatically thinking UFC did him wrong, which they obviously did not. that deceit turned a lot of fans against him. If you hate Randy regardless, I’m wasting my energy typing all this. but people should try to look options for the UFC Champ.
- stay in UFC and fight NOG – good for UFC, bad for Randy. rank can only go down. he loses the belt and the Fedor fight less unlikely.
- leave ufc to fight fedor – little impact on UFC, good for Randy. For a guy that holds the top spot in the UFC and is about to retire on his next fight anyways, he IS in the position to ask for a Fedor fight. This is a last chance opportunity for Randy to be UNDISPUTED #1 HW in the world.
He would be in even more legal trouble if he just came out and said that publicly. The guy is already rich. Its not about the money, bashing Dana or UFC. Its about being the best (which only deserves respect). So IMO the means (creating distance between him and UFC) justify the cause (opportunity to fight Fedor). Really gutsy move. Thats how I see it.

Interesting call on the MacDonald v. Doerksen fight, specifically that the “home town support” will help MacDonald pull it out, considering both guys are Canadian (MacDonald is from Alberta and Doerksen is from Manitoba). I agree with Randy though, this should be a close one, although I’m thinking that it might be Doerksen this time. Sounds like he underestimated Jason last time and that certainly won’t happen again.
