Leonard Garcia

Props: MySpace.com

Quoteworthy:

"This is leonard, I want to ask all my fans and supporters to keep me in their prayers. Know that I can clear my name and continue to give fans the fights they deserve to watch. And know that I am innocent of a crime that I'm being accused of from 3 years ago. Pray hard and let's let god do his best work for me to keep me where I belong, in the cage fighting the best in the world. Thank all of u and I will not dissapoint y'al.l I will get through this mess and make everyone proud of me as I have done before"

WEC featherweight fighter Leonard GarciaƂ informs fans of his situation for the first time since his arrest last week. Garcia was arrested for the participation and distribution of cocaine in a drug-trafficking crime ring and was busted last week in Texas. No word yet on a court date. He is innocent until proven guilty.

well they have been killing and having people that where innocent spend decades in prison because they had the wrong DNA or wrong something else, I wouldnt doubt it it could be either way, 1 – he is guilty and oh well talent wasted
2- the feds and gov’t fuck up once again, and theres nothing we can do about it.

people should now begin with their baseless assumptions as to his guilt or innocence.

Hector, guys getting killed or let out due to DNA are 30 year old cases when there wasn’t DNA testing, I’m no lawyer, but read the charges and evidence, he wasn’t a street corner dealer, he was pushing weight…too much to go unnoticed!!

lastly, my name is blue…what does that mean????

IF the Feds been watching this guy for that many years and say he linked to a cocaine drug ring then he is fucked. He was pushing probably massive amount of weight and the Feds are going to burry him and shut down the entire drug ring if possible. This was probably his career before he got big in the mma mainstream. I’ve seen this so many times from old friends and even family who pushed big weight. The Feds will have pictures, phone calls and probably a snitch to help bury you in the case. Once a case leave the state and the Feds take over you are royaly screwed and if he fights too hard they will through him in jail for as long as they can for not taking responsibility for his actions. My friend was pushing big weight and got 15 years, so if he looking at 40 for a potetial sentence then he was pushing an astronomical amount of weight. I dont think hes getting out of this one.

Lot of Leonard haters from texas, these guys seem to know him on a personal level, sounds like this stuff is true, not only that but they say he’s an asshole.

I’m from Texas. Nowhere near where Leonard is from; it’s a big place. Mighty big. And our prisons are full of “innocent” people. In fact, if you took a survey of all the state and federal prisoners in Texas, you would find that 100% of them were convicted because a crooked prosecutor manufactured evidence and planted DNA.

Regardless, a dude fighting for his life and still smiling the entire time (Huerta/Garcia) is a chill dude to me, maybe if the UFC/WEC paid their fighters more they wouldnt have to revert to a life of these activities. What is Tim Sylvia making somewhere else, $300,000 per fight! Thats probably what he made in all of his UFC fights combined at 40,000 and 50,000 a pop. I guess money doesnt matter when you consider the fame the UFC/TUF bring. Either way, Garcia’s got heart and i like that.

ADAM G, no one HAS to revert to a ‘life of these activities.’ It’s a choice they make. Lots of people don’t make much money and still conduct themselves and their lives in an honorable fashion. And I have no idea whether he’s innocent or guilty, but no one who traffics in drugs has any heart or is worthy of one iota of respect.

hoodrichroy – so you have heard shit about him but dont think it matches him huh? thats what you call a “front” and BELIEVE me he did a damn good job of doing just that…take it from somebody who KNOWS KNOWS him..not somebody who has just met him once or twice and shook his hand..sorry toi say.. he IS the low-life, lying, sack o crap drug dealer most people know him to be

and leonard – are you serious man?? INNOCENT?? please mofo..you knew damn well what you were doing…ATLEAST be MAN enough to accept the consequences of your actions..quit bein a little b*tch tryin to snitch all your partners out just to get out of it..you call yourself a MAN..then be a MAN and own up
